Tl* the contact owns a 2000 dodge ram 1500 equipped with cooper dakota definity h/t tires, size 265/75/r16, dot number ut73pa82506. the contact stated that while driving 65 mph, both tires on the driver's side began to tear apart. the contact almost lost control of the vehicle due to the failure of the tires. the dealer of the tires was notified and stated that there was no failure with the tires. neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were notified. the vin was not available. the failure mileage of the vehicle was 130,000 and the current mileage was 130,500.

Had vehicle inspected prior to getting front end alignment at tire discounters. they noticed a bulge on the inside sidewall. kelly tire less than 30 days old. they tried to tell me that the bulge was from someone hitting a pot hole to hard. i think that it is a defective tire and they just did not want to take care of it. i was told that all the tire that were purchased at a goodyear retailer were 2nds with known defects. i contacted a goodyear retailer where i live and they refuse to replace them unless i was the original purchaser with the receipt. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2000 dodge ram 1500. the vehicle has goodyear wrangler, size p235/75r15 tires. while the vehicle was being inspected on august 30, 2007, the inspector noticed that the rear passenger side tire tread was separating. the tire was replaced with a spare. the dealer was notified and stated fourteen days ago that they would return the contact's call. the dot number was unknown. the current mileage was 100,000 and failure mileage was 98,000. updated 01/02/08. *lj updated 01/02/08

Dt: noticed on september 25, 2005 the engine has been making a loud ticking noise. took the vehicle to two different dealers, one said it was the valve train ,and the other dealer said it was exhaust system echoing. both dealers said it was normal for the vehicle to sound like that. could stand two to three hundred feet away and hear it roar, and even if im inside a vehicle. when first starting it up it doesn't make the sound right away. but once the vehicle is warmed up it makes this sound every time when driving the vehicle . *ak

Consumer states that the front driver side tire is rubbing the interior part on the tire which is creating a hole. dealer was notified. *mr

While driving, right front michelin tire p245/75r16 blewout at the sidewall, michelin would not replace tire. *slc

I was driving during rushhour traffic at about 50mph on to a merge when a high pitch whine started then the next thing the tire was complete gone it was the driver side rear tire i was able to pull over right away upon looking at the tire the tread surface was completely separated from the body of the tire much like a retread the tire had less than 18000 miles on them and the truck is not commercially used and yes the inflation was correct the goodyear dealer in ronkonkoma ny said the tire was so shreded that he could find the origin of the failure he tried to say i must have hit something i was insistant that i didnt he finally covered the tire under unspecified failure but still charged me a prorated price which i am still contesting i have the receipt and would be more than helpful in any investigation that is being conduct i been a nyc police officer for 15 yrs and i have never seen atire do what it did i looking forward to hearing any input nhtsa may have thank you. *ak (tiresize: 265 75r 16)( dot number: tire size: 265 75r 16 )

Consumer makes a left turn at any given speed tires rub against shock brackets which causes a noise. dealership has replaced spindle twice and steering gear box. wants to put a 2mm shim on the back of tire. *ak the 2mm shims were installed but the tire on left side was still rubbing. *yh

Goodyear invecta gl tires experience uneven and premature wear, dealer states tires are wrong type for vehicle, dodge states tires are correct, tires caused vibration and caused vehicle to drift, tire size p235/75r15. bezle was loose on driver door panel, rear doors leaked, dealer adjusted and aligned both rear doors due to excessive gap. vehicle experienced coolant leak. consumer hears wind noise. air conditioner would not cool properly. there is a loud noise from the exhaust. vehicle gets poor gas mileage, only gets around 9 miles per gallon. *slc

The passenger quad door speaker buzzes, dealer replaced speaker, the buzzing noise is still present. *slc
