The vehicle stalls multiple times after a fuel fill up. it's very dangerous because it will stall even while driving in traffic. it could cause an accident if other vehicles don't realize my vehicle has stalled. up to this point i have thankfully not been the cause of an accident. i try to never fill the tank due to this problem. it usually stops once i have driven a few miles and if i open the fuel door to release the built up vapors.
Engine stalls immediately following fuel fill-up. stalled on highway, difficulty maintaining the car steady. car now hesitates to start. can only fill gas tank halfway.
My 2005 magnum rt hemi 5.7 stalls after a fuel fill-up. during normal driving the car suddenly looses power and stalls only after filling the car up at the gas station. i have had the same problem numerous times in the last couple years from 2016-2019. i have found information on this issue under nhtsa report pe13016 listed online and see the investigation was closed. also see that dodge supposedly created an "extended recall" for "stalls after fuel fill-up" to include a free gas tank replacement. however this is listed for 2006 vehicles and i am reporting this problem on my 2005 dodge magnum rt (5.7 hemi engine). this can be a serious issue if the car stalls in traffic as it could cause an accident with another vehicle. this issue can happen when turning right or left or on a straight section of road the only way to prevent the car from stalling is to use the gear shift to keep the rpm's of the engine higher by being in 2nd or 3rd gear. from searching the internet on this issue i have found many people have had the same problem. when searching on pe13016 or pe13-016 i have ...
When i fill up gas tank with gas vehicle stalls while drive in traffic on highway and have to be put the gear shift/transmission into park on the roadways to initiate the start up process cause an unsafe/hazardous environment on the road way with other drivers not aware of the issues of the stalled vehicle.
05 dodge magnum having fuel issues after putting gas in the car. won't start on first or 3rd time, improper fuel reading at any time while driving sitting still or just running in the yard. the car stalls after filling up mostly. the gas light comes on after filling up, while driving it, sitting still. it no certain time or thing for the light to come on or for the vehicle to stall. a strong odar of gas after you fill up. i never know how much gas is really in the car. i've replaced the fuel pumps on both sides. the check engine light continues to come on before the car starts, while you are driving it, or sitting at a light. i have the light tested and it comes back to the fuel pumps. i've been dealing with this problem for like a month now. the problem continue after replacing both side of the fuel pump.
After filling my car with gas it runs rough and stalls several times while moving. after restarting it several times it seems ok until the next time i fill the gas again. when it stalls it sounds like the drivetrain is messing up. it does this city highway turning or straight. this has been happening regularly for at least 6 weeks only right after filling and sporadically for about 4 months or more.
After filling up gas tank car will stall out. big safety concern, car stalled while making a turn on city street, lose power steering very dangerous. happens every time i fill up gas tank.
When filling gas tank to a full condition the engine will die suddenly without warning. the car/engine will stall unexpectedly after leaving gas station often in a perilous position. does not happen unless car is over 3/4 full of fuel. if the car is filled up it can die anytime at any moment.
After filling up with gas, the engine will stall and shut off at an idle. this happens immediately after filling up the gas tank. once i make it home after it stalls 2 to 3 time and it sits over night it is fine the next day. the engine stalls when sitting at a red light at idle speeds.
Recently bought this car took it to the shop because the car was cutting off on its own whether parked or in drive which is very dangerous. had it checked out and it came up with a code for crankshaft position sensor, got that changed the code went away but the car still turns off on its own and no codes show up. crankshaft has now been changed 2 times&& the electrical things were checked just to be safe!&& a few days ago i was driving maybe about 35mph & the car decelerated on its own and i couldn't accelerate had to turn the car off then back on.
Filled fuel tank up as usual then started the car and immediately the car stalled. i restarted it and it stalled again. started car again while pressing the gas pedal and it drove a few seconds then a super hard misfire and it cut off again. finally starts and idles terribly...runs terribly for about 10 miles then it seems to balance itself out. it's been happening consistently for the last few years and almost caused someone to rear end me a few times. i hear there's a recall or lifetime warranty on the fuel tank but no notice was ever sent to me.
When you feel the tank up the car shuts off a couple times until some of the gas went down then it acts normal
2005 dodge magnum r/t stalling. my magnum has had intermittent stalling problems after filling with fuel, situation occurs when the vehicle is moving as well as when stopped and idling. vehicle will restart after several attempts, then when moving will stall again. vehicle loses all power, steering. and brakes. stalling occurred on city streets, and on highway, vehicle's speed varied from idle, up to 65 mph. *tr
After filling tank at gas station, engine completely stopped while turning out of station. had to shift to neutral and restart, narrowly avoiding an accident. i did not "top off" tank, as it was about 3/4 full when pulling away. this is a recurring problem and always manifests itself after refuling, or soon after. the problem is a faulty vent valve that cannot be replaced separate from entire tank. numerous others have this problem yet the manufacturer refuses to issue a recall.
After i fill up the fuel tank with gas, the vehicle stops running. this usually happens 1-3 times after filling up. it will die at low speeds or idle at a stop light and has even died while driving down the road (once in the middle of a roundabout) this seems to. be a very common problem for these vehicles with the 5.7 liter v-8 (such as mine). i recently purchased this vehicle used after experiencing this issue, did a little digging and found out this a very common problem. this is obviously a hazard and i am wondering if there is a recall in place for this issue. *tr
