My wife was driving the car and it shut off while driving. the engine and electric system shut off and she could not use the brakes. she had to coast to a parking lot and then it started up again. we have taken it into a mechanic and there is no information on the computer regarding what happened. he cannot diagnose the problem.
To whom it may concern, i left my home and was heading to work when someone ran a stop sign. i had to slam on my brakes to avoid being t-boned. the brakes worked at first, then the peddle pulsed and went to the floor board. i pulled over and looked for brake fluid leaking under the vehicle. after not seeing any, i tried pumping the brakes and the peddle kind of started working again, but if you keep pressure on the peddle, it will go to the floor board. when you drive it, the brakes barley respond for the first 1.5" to 2" of movement, then most of the braking is in the next 1" to 1.5" of movement. as you sit at a stop applying pressure. the peddle will go the floor board. you can pump it up to firm, with the vehicle in the off position, but after you start it, the peddle becomes soft and as stated before, goes to the floor board. 2 different dealerships have said this is normal, the brakes did not do this before having to slam on them. it does not feel safe to drive. after doing some research, it ...

I have had my cruise control sensor replaced multiple times within the last two years due to it not activating. after the last repair within 3 months it again stopped acting ating. this was about 8 months ago. 3 weeks ago i went to release my parking brake and heard a loud thud sound. the foot pedal would no longer catch and simply made a clicking sound. i had already scheduled an appointment for december 16, 2019 to repair my catalytic converter due to a recall that had been issued and let the service department know i had concerns with what possibly could be my emergency brake cable. they told me i could pay to gave it diagnosed but i let them know i would have to reschedule. within this last week my truck has been flashing the traction warning light as well as the electronic throttle control sensor light which seems to come on sporadically. i am concerned that the emergency brake line could have been caught through a recall for approximately 276,000 model-year 2012-15 dodge journey suvs manufactured between april 21, 2012, and april 14, 2015. this seal of the wiring harness may have prevent water ...
Breaks aren't working shop told me about the recall and said there's no air in the lines and no leaking lines tested the master cylinder and no issues but my breaks are still not fully engaging. trunk doesn't open i've brought it to 4 shops as well as a dodge dealership and non have been able to get the latch to disingage.

Shortly after beginning to drive the car, the traction control light comes on, the steering tightens up and the brakes freeze up. this happens on completely dry roads. this happened 2 times within 1 mile of each time. the first time i almost went through an intersection because i couldn't get stopped, and the second time i almost rear ended a car. i had both of my children who are 7 and 10 in the vehicle. this is not the first time this issue has happened. it happened 6 months ago, and my mechanic said the code was a faulty tpm which was replaced. it then happened a month ago, and the most recent time which was last week. i've been researching this issue and it seems that the dodge journey has had this issue, among others. it seems as if this vehicle needs a complete recall. somebody is going to end up seriously injured or dead. i still owe $10k on my vehicle and cannot afford to buy another and pay this loan. i need to get rid of this vehicle and dodge needs to take responsibility.
As i was driving through a grocery parking lot, i remember taking my foot off of the accelerator to slow down and to make a right turn up an isle to go to a parking spot. once my foot came off of the accelerator, my car died, no brakes, and no steering. the electrical continued to work as my music was still playing and the flashers worked as well. i put the car in park, and pushed the start button, nothing happened. i tried a couple more times and then my car started back up. i drove to a parking spot, shut the car off and turned it back on. i drove back home with no issues and put her in the garage. i'm very nervous, to say the least as i have to drive to work tomorrow. i hope this does not occurs as i'm driving 55 mph.
Been having serious intermittent issues with my brakes. my traction control light and abs lights would come on simultaneously and then brakes start to make a grinding noise as well as pedal starts to shake. brought it into dealership on 10/6/19 as it was throwing a code for a wheel speed sensor. had them replace that along with a full brake system check only for it to start having same issues 2 weeks later. i've read online of many other customers having the exact same issue only for dodge to slap a bandaid on it. i have 3 kids and do not feel safe driving them anywhere as it is a serious safety concern.
