Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. while driving, the instrument panel lighting illuminated and the vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. the failure almost caused a crash. the vehicle was taken to multiple independent mechanics and dealers. the contact researched and found other vehicle's experiencing the same failure. the vehicle was taken to ganley chrysler dodge jeep ram (310 broadway ave, bedford, oh 44146, (440) 232-2121) where it was determined that the electrical and computer systems failed. the contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic for a second opinion, but they did not have the equipment to clearly diagnose the vehicle. the manufacturer stated that they would document the contact's file; however, the vehicle was no longer under warranty and there were no current recalls. the contact stated that the failures occurred ever since the vehicle was purchased in 2015. the contact was informed to call nhtsa. the failure mileage was unknown.

Drivers side door window switch for front windows, door locks and mirror controls does not work, only back windows roll up and down, googled this issue and seems that this is a common problem with the journeys

Car cuts off while in motion. this is an issue that many owners have had. dealerships say it was "released too early and it has a lot of bugs in the system" i have had my kids in the car every time this has happened!!! was almost in a wreck this time at my daughter's school. also, car will not start sometimes unless i put it in gear and "trick" it. i have replaced the starter numerous times thinking that was it....has cut off when on the highway, residential street, parking lots, in motion and stationary...happens often.

Battery has died multiple times within months of replacing.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. on several occasions, the contact was unable to start the vehicle. the vehicle was taken to the independent dealer from where it was purchased. the contact was informed that a failure occurred between the key fob and the ignition system. the vehicle was previously repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 14v373000 (electrical system, air bags); however, the failure recurred. neither the dealer nor the manufacturer were contacted. the approximate failure mileage was 172,441.

The car power will fluctuate with the rpm going up and down when trying to accelerate. new trhottle body with tps sensor, intake air sensor and gas pedal sensors were replaced and still having the same issue. the engine problem light is on also the electric throttle control system light is on. the vehicle has only 83000 miles. active codes are p0642, p2138, p0335 & p0113. the car is dangerous to drive due to speed fluctuation.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact stated that the vehicle had several defects and failed to start on several occasions. as a result, the contact had to leave the vehicle unattended for a day and then go back and restart the vehicle. while the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to accelerate over 35 mph. on several occasions, the air bag, check engine, traction control, esp, and security indicators illuminated off and on. also, on several occasions, the gear shifter failed to shift into neutral. the vehicle was taken to monken dodge chrysler jeep ram nissan (located at 1739 w mccord st, centrailia, il 62801 (618) 545-5100) where it was diagnosed that the failure could not be replicated. the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to king city chrysler center (located at broadway st, mt vernon, il 62864 (618) 242-6600) where it was diagnosed that the pcm needed to be replaced. the contact stated that another mechanic suggested to have the pcm rebuilt to save money. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 158,000. the vin was unavailable.

Approximately one month after purchase, the vehicle would not crank one morning. i had to call someone to jump the vehicle off. vehicle cranked and ran without incident for approximately two days. third morning, it had to be jumped again. had the battery and alternator checked. mechanic said the battery was not a heavy enough battery. so, i bought a new battery. approximately 3 weeks later, same scenario. have contacted the dealership that sold me the car, dodge, and even checked online. dealer and dodge claim that no complaints of this nature have been made. however, my online search turned up several owners that have/are experiencing the same problem. there is a problem in the electrical system somewhere or the battery wouldn't be draining overnight, even after the vehicle is used long enough for the battery to stay charged by the vehicle's charging system. sometimes the battery drains after sitting only a couple of hours.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. during an oil change at glenbrook hyundai (4801 coldwater, rd, ft. wayne, in, 260-484-9531) the technician noticed that the air bag indicator was illuminated. the contact was informed that there were two recalls: nhtsa campaign numbers: 16v047000 (air bags) and 14v37300 (electrical system, air bags). the contact was referred back to the dealer where the recalls were repaired; however, the air bag indicator remained illuminated after the repairs. the technician recommended diagnostic testing to determine the cause of the air bag issue. the contact did not want to be responsible for the diagnostic test fee; therefore, the test was not performed and the failure was not repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 106,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. while driving, the pcm indicator illuminated without warning. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for an oil change and it was diagnosed that the pcm chip needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. a dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was not notified of the issue. the approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

I have the starting issue like others. the engine does not start. sometimes it starts by itself after a while, sometimes i have to put the gear in n/d and back to p and try. in addition, sometimes the windows go up and down by themselves! i have seen many people have the same issue with this model. please investigate it and make it as a recall!

Dodge journey 2009 - has trouble starting. originally started occasionally, now more frequent. turns over sometimes using spare key or turning over original key. now complete stall. clicking noise but not starting.

Front passenger "no seat belt" light does not come on when seat occupied. light will come on when seat is unoccupied. passenger side front door and now rear door no longer operates electrically. rear passenger will will not open manually interior or exterior.

Recall the starters! i am sick of bwing syranded because our car won't start!!!! this is an issues for thousands of people!

Every four rotations of the ignition results in my vehicle being unable to start. i get 3 clicks with no start. the vehicle is stationary at the time of affect. i have been rendered stranded at doctor's offices due to this issue. dodge refuses to look at it or acknowledge there are issues. every time i have taken this vehicle to the dealership, they want $125 just to diagnose the issue.

I have a 2009 dodge journey that periodically will not start. alternator, starter, and battery all fine. i have been reading that it may be a problem with the neutral safety switch and i am apparently not the only person this is happening too. this left me stranded on 7/1/17 and 7/3/17. please address this issue!

My 2009 dodge journey will not shut off when you take the key out. the windows will not go up and down. i brought into a dodge dealership and had the recall on the ignition switch and the wiring harness in the driver door replaced. my car still will not shut off and windows still don't work but now won't go into gear after dealer repaired. i took it to a second dealer and now after 3 week they are saying i need a tipm for $1700. but they don't know if that will fix the problem? plus now the car will not start. my car is in worse shape then when i brought it into the dealership to repair? i called the corporate office and they are not willing to do anything.

My dodge journey has run great for a few years now it is having a hard time starting. i have already replaced the battery and several fuses with no luck. it also seems to loose power and have a loud tapping noise in the engine compartment when it is cold. i have taken in the car to my mechanic to get the tapping checked we change oil (even when it does not need it) and the noise will go a way. so in a summary, i ahve a no starting, phantom tapping noise dodge joirney.

Car frequently doesn't start for long periods of time! next time i get it started, i'm taking it to a dodge dealership to have it fixed once and for all (i think)! but the internet is full of complaints about this problem mainly for the 2009 and 2010 models! they haven't pinpointed exactly where that problem exists because the integrity of the whole electrical and starting system in these models is under question! unreliable starting systems could mean the difference between life and death in the winter, out in the country, when it's -35 c!

Takata recall. when driving down the when going to slow down the dodge journey will stall out. everything will just shut off and sometimes will have a hard time starting back up.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. while driving various speeds, the instrument panel lighting suddenly flashed off and on and the vehicle's speed decelerated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the cause of the failure was not determined. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 08v528000 (electrical system), although the failures were identical. the failure mileage was 114,000.

I bought a 2009 dodge journey in april of 2017. a week after having it the problems started. first it was a backing plate...no big deal...then it was the transfer case...then my speedometer quit working and a few lights on the dash board. i was thankful that they tried fixing it over several months. then they said we will give you 6,000 for it....when i paid a little over 10,000 for it...no way! then september came around for inspection and i told them it sounds loud could you take a look at the exhaust. well they passed the inspection....i took it back a week later and said it still sounds loud...well you need a whole new exhaust! why did you pass it knowing it needed this? i was told well at least you can still drive it. here i am a year later for another inspection and it won't pass now because of the exhaust...i asked about the speedometer and their response was we will let that slide because it's been a ongoing problem since you bought it. so is it ok for them to be doing this to me? no speedometer...miles on it are definitely not right because they don't move...i have 3 children i drive around in this car...i have to drive my son to pittsburgh children's hospital every so often. am i in the wrong or are they? i was never asking for any money back or a brand new car...i was only asking for them to make it right with us and they think they have.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. while driving approximately 70 mph, the vehicle independently shifted into reverse. the failure occurred without warning. after applying the emergency brake, the vehicle was able to be stopped. the contact stated that the failure recurred while driving 20 mph. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission had an internal failure and would need to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 112,000.

This is not the first time this has happened. my windshield wipers come on by themselves and will not turn off, had to remove fuse. as i was driving home from work they came on and wouldn't turn off. then the turn signals, headlights, and dashboard lights stopped working. this car has a mind of its own and these work when they feel like it; meaning they come and go, working one second then not the next, then working again....usually they don't work and stop for a long period of time then eventually work again like nothing happened. this time i'm not so sure how long it is going to go on because it is worse and ongoing. i am finding just how dangerous it is not to be able to use turn signals, etc. i am unable to drive to work now because of the headlights! and now the rain is coming in and i am not going to be able to drive without headlights or wipers. there should be a recall on this - there are sooo many complaints! if something happens to me or my children or grandchildren there will be a lawsuit filed as there is no reason for this not to be recalled with all the complaints and danger it entails. complaints i have read are about air bags not deploying, cars stalling in the middle of driving down the road, etc. this is totally absurd!!!!! and as bad as my car is getting these problems won't be far behind. i do not have the money to dole out for this being a single mom as it is a costly fix, which is exactly why they refuse to recall i am sure!!

I purchased my dodge journey sxt 09-22-2016. on february 3, 2017, i drove about 5 miles (to my daughter's school then to my place of employment). i turned off my vehicle, began to exit the car and noticed it had light smoke coming from it. it bothered me seeing there was not reason (i.e. wasted fluids) and i just purchased the vehicle. i called my someone to inquire from them about the smoke, and the next thing i know, people are yelling at me to get out of the car!!! my side of the car was on fire (under the hood). the car was stationary in a private parking lot. the engine was not running. in fact, if if my car door wasn't open, i would not be typing this notice.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact stated that the key failed to turn over in the ignition to start the vehicle. the contact constantly had to maneuver the key to get the vehicle to start and, at times, was unable to start the vehicle. the manufacturer was notified. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

2009 dodge journey - total intergrated power module ( fuse box) went in defect mode. it is located under the car hood near front driver side fender. think of the tipm like a command center for all the electrical functions of your car. want to turn on your wipers? that has to go through the tipm. need the fuel pump to turn on after you turn the key? you'll have to run it through tipm first. my car engine turned off while on my street road. i had to manually turn off road. there was no traffic at the time. when i restarted car windshield wipers went on would not turn off. low beam lights would not go off. no cluster lights ( fuel gauge, speedometer, battery, temp gauge, speed gauge, digital readouts etc) no heat or ac power, no blinkers. no emergency lights, no ac power converter. i could drive car but had no gauges that worked that left me in the blind. the following worked normal: brake lights, radio and electric windows. had auto mechanic scan it and found tipm was defected. this is dangerous everyone because if the tipm just decides to go defect your car will automatically stop and you will lose control of your control because the tipm shuts it down. i was lucky and just coasted off the road, but if one is on the road and heavy traffic you will crash and you and every one's life, health and well being is lethally in danger ( death) this dodge journey due to this defect must be recalled before someone dies. does it take death for a recall? is it going to take a death and group law suit? the tipm is defective and must be recalled on 2009 dodge journeys and all other after that year. the tipm is defective. recall or group law suit ?

Car has been randomly not starting, most times it will start in neutral, have had car in shop repeatedly, can't find reason, problem is intermittent, ignition recall was done just prior to start ing isues beginning but i was told by dealert it was not a related issue had starter replaced in june, then had new battery put in, took car into dealer in nov for drivers side airbag squib that had to be replaced by by dealer. since that repair car car has drained battery 4 times. first time could not get it jumped put trickle charger on it for about 2 hours started right up, it died again charged it drove it around never shutting it off anywhere took it to mechanic, starter was good battery was good but low, so it was warranted out with brand new one. car was fine for 4 days. did not drive it for 2 days, now it will not start, and when i put battery charger on it, it clicks and chatters and tries to start on its own without the key in the ignition. it is new years day so nothing is open.

Takata recall my dodge journey was stationary, i tuned the key and my windshield wipers came on, they were in the "off" position but yet they are going back and fourth. none of my lights except the front and back are working, my dash is dimmed, and it sounds like my cars is ready to stall. upon looking online, i see several complaints about this issue, but i'm not sure if it is a recall...this is a very big problem that needs to be corrected by chrysler/dodge! 2009 144,000 miles

Left driver door wiring issue causes both front power window controls on driver side not to function when statiinary & driving. intermittent dash warning lights flash & windshield wipers activate without driver initiation while driving. airbag & seat belt dash warning light comes on intermittently while driving. check engine for powretrain control module comes on intermittently while driving.

After the recall work was completed and we received new key fobs the car will randomly not start. we have taken it to our mechanic repeatedly and he has not been able to find the issue. he has jumpstarted it thinking battery was down, applied dielectric grease to connections, checked it with the computer and could find nothing wrong. problem keeps recurring with the time and number of attempts increasing until, we have to keep car running on short errands and plan for alternate transportation when we have to go somewhere distant, in case it does not start for several hours. in addition the door locks, randomly fail to lock or unlock when using key fob, and also lock and unlock automatically when driving; warning lights randomly come on and go off, for things like low tire and check engine light but when checked or put on diagnostic computer there is nothing wrong. warning lights come on when driving and stay on even after car is put on computer then shut off on their own sometimes after a few hours or days. all these started after recall and after reaching 100k miles, just got car back from mechanic after replacing battery last week. he is not sure what issues is but is going to replace a connection wire to see if it helps, because computer says its good. i see similar complaints saying car will start in neutral sometimes and i was told to try it. if it starts he said it may be a safety module, but cannot guarantee it is or will work. this has been happening for nearly 2 years with no resolution. car is our only vehicle, and we follow all maintenance directions.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact stated that the air conditioner emitted hot air on the driver side and cold air on the passenger side independently. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to a software issue. the vehicle was not repaired because the manufacturer did not release the software. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

The problem began around 2 years ago, the vehicle wont start when the ignition key is engaged. there aren't any clicks or cranking just silence. after 10, 15 or 20 minutes the vehicle starts after the attempt. this problem probably won't occur in the next number of starting but suddenly the same problem, it won't start. i live in northwest illinois and in the fall and winter this happen more often than spring and summer but it occurs fewer times. i read on the internet that many owners complain about the same problem, some paid a lot of money to the dealership to fix the problem, but the dealerships some times replaced a lot of unnecessary parts and the problem wasn't solved. i contacted the in town chrysler dealer right after the problem began.they weren't sure how exactly to solve the problem. they suggested trial and error process.i didn't wanted to spend a lot of unnecessary money, and the problem won't be solved. last week the service advisor noted that possible solution but not guaranteed is to replace the starter connector as might be corroded in which i have suspicions, because doing this job takes a lot of time and of course big bill to the dealer. someone will say it is business, but in this case isn't because it is chrysler fault of making vehicle's with the same problem. it is a safety issue it could be about life and death sometimes. imagine if some of this vehicles suddenly turn off on the railroad or in the middle of intersections, or a criminal is chasing a dodge journey patron and the patron wants to escape with his vehicle and the vehicle won't start that is death or catastrophic injury!!! i believe that you have a lot of the same complaint from current owners and you don't have a lot from people who will fix the problem by selling the vehicle, and someone else will became the lucky owner.this is a case for factory recall. thank you *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact stated that the front driver's side door wiring harness failed, the wires prematurely shorted, and the electrical function panel failed to operate. the dealer diagnosed that there were loose and fractured wires, and the front driver's side wires and harness needed to be replaced. the dealer and manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included nhtsa campaign number: 10v658000 (electrical system). the manufacturer provided no solution. the approximate failure mileage was 182,000.

My 2009 dodge se journey has had several problems including some under open recall, electrical recall. however my brakes are very bad,abs light and brake light frequently come on and off. the brakes act as if i have no brakes or pressure, until they are half way down then they over engage causing the vehicle to suddenly stop or significantly slow at unsafe pace. i have contacted chrysler there is no recall at this time. this is an unsafe vehicle all around and complete recall should be in effect. this problem has occurred since we purchased the vehicle and has not stopped.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 50 mph, the left and right turn signals and the horn failed to operate when activated. in addition, the windshield wipers operated independently and the air bag warning light illuminated. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and the vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v373000 (air bags , electrical system). the failure mileage was 113,609.

Multiple buttons on the drivers side door panel suddenly stopped working (front windows, side mirror positioning, and lock/unlock button) without any trauma/manipulation except for back windows buttons which still work. upon further investigation, numerous consumers had similar complaints which were found to be due to faulty front door wiring harnesses that were replaced under chrysler safety recall "k07". however, my vehicle was not included in the manufacturing dates specified by the recall despite identical symptoms. i believe that the inability to adjust my side mirrors and lock/unlock the vehicle qualifies my situation as a safety hazard and therefore my vehicle should be covered under the k07 recall issued by chrysler.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. while driving approximately 15 mph, the esp warning indicator remained illuminated. the steering wheel made a loud noise as if something was loose. in addition, the vehicle stalled and failed to start. the vehicle was previously repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 14v373000 (air bags, electrical system). the failure recurred and the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 85,000.

Tl* takata recall. the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 14v373000 (electrical system, air bags) and 16v047000 (air bags). the part needed to repair the vehicle was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was not notified of the issue. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect and vin tool confirms parts not available respectively.

Vehicle lost all electrical power while driving, engine died, with associated loss of steering power, braking power, etc. after stopping, placing transmission in park, removing key ("fobik"), and replacing it back to turn the ignition switch, electrical power returned and engine started. i had just exited the street into a parking lot (loss of power occurred as i completed returning the steering wheel to center after turning from street) and stalled blocking traffic through the lot until i restarted the engine.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. while driving at any speed, the esp and abs lights illuminated and the vehicle lost power. afterwards, all four brakes locked up and smoke appeared. the vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road. the fire department was called and diagnosed that the two front brakes had locked up. the vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and was later driven to the dealer. the dealer diagnosed that the failure occurred due to wear and tear. the master cylinder, rotors, brake caliber, and all four brakes were replaced; however, the failure recurred numerous times. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 168,924.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start when the key was placed in the ignition and all the warning indicators illuminated on the instrument panel. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine timing switch failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred a few days later. the vehicle was not repaired again. the manufacturer and dealer were not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 140,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact stated that the vehicle had trouble starting and stalled while the vehicle was operated. all the warning indicators were illuminated. the vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or dealer. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the contact was informed that the vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 14v373000 (air bags, electrical system) a year prior to owning the vehicle. the failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

Let it be noted that after the r03 recall all the following issues started occurring. first incident: driving about 30mph every light on the dashboard except the engine light illuminated, gauges spun around and back and forth, then stopped all together, the rmp's revved up to 5ooo and the accelerator went to the floor with no action as if the car was off. there was a obviuous loss of power, the car was hesitating like it wanted to stall out, and the vehicle once stopped did not start again until being jumped. once started, none of the light were on except, oddly now, the engine light which threw codes po0562 & po700. the battery read 12.2v on the diagnostic while off then 14.4 when the car was started(after being jumped for 1 minute only). 5 minutes into the drive and boom, the demon took over the car again but now the car would not go pst maybe 7mph, again in accelerator power,no shifting, all power still on in the car, but seems low on power. once turned off, it would not start but still had power. again, got jumped, diagnostic, and same codes, alternator fine, battery fine, seems to be getting poor connection. started 2 days later and loud, unstable idle, won't switch gears seems as if its on but running off of stored power. dealer now says only code is po622. symptoms are seeming to be the tipm all over again. again, none of this started until i took it to dodge to have the ro3 recall repaired. the key since also does not register at times, will say "mismatch key" on dashboard, all sensors flash then go away such as (gascap, door ajar, check engine light would ignite with no code, gate, key), wouldn't turn over, frequent :dead battery" then starts without jump few minutes later. overtime the car will act possessed with all lights on is after hitting a bump, again chrysler dealer recall department is stating tipm, dewlap will not check that while diagnosing. help!

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. after the vehicle was repaired per nhtsa campaign number: 14v373000 (air bags, electrical system), the vehicle failed to start after numerous attempts. the contact stated that the engine stalled twice without warning. the vehicle was towed to a dealer where the cause of the failure could not be determined. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 143,389.

I' got this car and the repairs never stopped coming. i've replaced the brakes & rotors 4 times in 3 years. i had to pay to have the car re-wired due to electrical problems & add a starter, replaced hoses. shocks and ball joints. this has to be the worst vehicle ever.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. while attempting to make a right turn, the vehicle became difficult to steer and stalled without warning. the front end of the contact's vehicle crashed into the front end of another vehicle. the front end of the contact's vehicle was damaged and was no longer able to be driven. the vehicle was towed. a police report was filed. the contact received neck, back, arm, and head injuries. medical attention was received. the contact received notifications of nhtsa campaign numbers: 14v373000 (air bags, electrical system) and 16v047000 (air bags); however, the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 200,000. parts distribution disconnect and vin tool confirms parts not available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. the contact stated that it took several attempts to start the vehicle. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 158,000.

Since i've bought this car in 2013 i've had problems with it starting. a few days after i bought it i had a problem took it to the dealer and they replaced the throttle body. 2 years later had a problem again and it went away. now it is doing it again and i never know whether or not it is going to start. i've been stranded multiple times and had to get it towed home. my lights radio and everything work the car just won't start and i only get clicking sound. its not the battery and not the starter. we have found disconnecting the battery for a little while will reset the computer and then it will start. however i do not know how to do that and i shouldn't have to. if it doesn't start i have to wait for my husband to come get me and do it. my car has been recalled many times for different electrical problems and i think the should be held resposible for this too. your car not starting is a major safety hazard depending on where you are or if have children with you on a hot day. we had our grandson with us one day last month and got stranded, we parked the car and came back an hour later and wouldn't start. all lights and radio came on. we called for a jump from roadside assistance and they said an hour and half wait. we went back in the store for an hour and came out to see if it would start and it did. no jump or anything! and everyday other day since then it's been the same thing. if you google the 09 dodge journey starting problems there are many many complaints of people having the same issues. please recall this car!!

Tl* the contact owns a 2009 dodge journey. while driving approximately 55 mph, the horn sounded independently. the failure recurred while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied. the contact disabled the horn fuse. the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 58,000.
