Recently reported SEAT BELTS problems on 2002 Dodge Intrepid

I was recently installing my britax regent as directed. and used the carseat belt for my daughter who is now about 55 lbs. while installing i saw how if we were in an accident the gen 3 seat belt acceptor would fail when it made contact with her carseat. so my child would no longer be protected. in order to install her seat i had to twist the connector about 8-10 times to keep it as far away from the seat as possible. i twisted the connector until it could not twist any further. i am still do not want to have my child ride here but i have no other choice. i will be replacing the connector as soon as i can. i want to have daimler chrysler replace my seat belt connectors with either gen 2 or gen 4 connectors. all gen 3 seat belt connectors need to be recalled and replaced! note for below numbers. i have not been involved in a crash yet. *tr

I have a 2002 dodge intrepid that i purchased on april 11th, 2003 and i have been hearing a lot of reports on the gen 3 seat belts, and i would like to have mine replaced. i have two small children who use the seat belts, a 5 year old and a 2 month old. *jb

The driver's seat belt housing attachment blocked the view from the window when trying to overcome blind spot. the belt housing attachment to the vehicle's frame was very wide. the windows glass also seemed difficult to see through. the vehicle was taken tot he dealer and was traded in for another vehicle. *jb *nlm
