Tl* the contact owns a 2000 dodge intrepid. while driving approximately 50 mph, the vehicle crashed into a brick wall and severely damaged the front passenger side of the vehicle. the air bags did not deploy and the front passenger seat belts malfunctioned. the driver sustained a back injury and body bruises and the front passenger sustained broken ribs. the rear passenger sustained multiple lacerations. medical attention was required. a police report was filed. the cause of the failure was not diagnosed. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 250,000.
As i was driving along and approached my exit, the steering wheel locked up and would not allow me to control the car. i was able to stop the car safely hitting some brush on the side of the road. no damage or injuries were incurred, but this was very frightening! now, the steering is still getting stuck on turns and i have no horn! the airbag light is now showing and i don't know whats going on with this car! something needs to be done. no warnings, or recalls have been made, and there a many concerns of others going through the same issue with this car. please advise on what is going to be done about this problem before someone gets killed! *js

Tl*the contact owns a 2000 dodge intrepid. while the vehicle was in park the air bags abruptly deployed without any level of impact to the vehicle. the driver sustained minor injury. the authorized dealer was notified of the malfunction. the vehicle repair cost was approximately $3,500. the failure and current mileage were unknown. the vin was unavailable.
Dt: 2000 dodge intrepid bought in april used with 11,000 miles. since then it has been in shop 9-10 times, mostly consisting of steering problems, such as rack and pinion and the steering coupler. there were other issues, but this was the main concern. one week ago the consumer was involved in an accident, front end impact for which the air bags did not deploy. consumer sustained injuries. no repairs after the accident because there was over $6,000 worth of damage. *ak emergency brake handle was loose. the dealer determined the it was not connected. the dealer repositioned/reassembled the emergency brake. the key wouldn't come out of the ignition because the shift interlock cable broke. the check engine light illuminated. the dealer replaced the wiring to the brake light switch. *nm
The consumer was involved in a 25 mph frontal collision and both frontal air bags failed to deploy. no injury was reported dealer / manufacturer were both notified.*jb
When driving at undetermined speed steering wheel failed, causing the driver to lose control the vehicle and hit another vehicle head on. consumer stated that steering wheel locked up, and both front air bags did not deploy. consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealership for inspection, and mechanic determined that the steering column bolt snapped. *ak
The consumers vehicle was hit on the front right side yet the air bags did not deploy. the seat belt also failed to properly restrained the driver and as a result the driver was thrown into the passenger seat. the consumer sustained injuries to the face, right shoulder, side and eyes. the vehicle was a total loss. *nlm
Vehicle hit a concrete post at less than 15mph. air bags deployed hitting the driver. i do not believe the air bags should have deployed. i am concerned for employee safety. we have had two intrepids deploy the air bags at less than 15 mph.
While starting my vehicle in my driveway the air bag deployed hitting me in the side of the head while i was leaning forward to get my date book.
While traveling 25-30 mph, another vehicle pulled out in front of the consumer resulting in a frontal collision in which neither air bag deployed, both the driver and passenger sustained injuries. ts *nlm *dt

While daugther was driving about 55 mph vehicle crashed into a guardrail. upon impact, air bags did not deploy. *ak

Consumer was in an accident traveling 70mph. accident damaged right front corner panel, every thing electrical was knocked out, air bags didn't deploy, 2-3 inch crease right underneath left head light. since accident fuel emissions light has been off and on. vehicle has been in 5 times since first week in november. dealer said it was a fuel emissions leak, consumer didn't know how to put on gas cap. *ak after the vehicle was repaired for damages caused by the accident, the ses light came on and the vehicle was serviced four times for the same fuel emissions leaks. finally, a broken fuel line was found and was fixed. *yh
The problem i have with this vehicle is this. my daughter got into a rear end collision with this car. she hiot a van with very minimal damage to it. air bags never deployed but vehicle had 5000 dollars woth of damage. something is wrong. not getting any response from dodge. *ak
When vehicle was put in park it suddenly and unexpectedly accelerated, resulting in a collision which caused property damage. also, upon impact, airbags did not deploy. *ak *ml
