Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that with the vehicle turned off and the key out the ignition, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine. the contact stated that there were no warning lights illuminated. the vehicle was taken to (anderson chrysler dodge jeep ram located at 5711 e state st, rockford, il 61108) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump relay was defective and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired.the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 151,774.
Vehicle pulses while shifting through gears, google shows a recall s44, for transaxle oil pump. i called dodge customer service and was told by operator that it does show up in the service notification. so i called dealership to schedule appointment, and was told it's not a recall. so i called customer service again, got a different operator, who told me that she also sees it in the service notification, she called the dealership and talked to them, patched me through to schedule appointment, and dealership told me it wouldn't be covered, and that i will have to pay.
While driving on the interstate with cruise control on, the car shut off entirely after hitting a bump. the rpm went down to 0 and the gas pedal did not work. everything seemed fine as we were driving. we did not have any warning lights or check engine lights. the car simply shut off at 80 mph. attempts to turn the car back on did not work. this has now happened on two separate occasions. thankfully we were able to pull to the side of the road safely each time. we aren't sure if this is an electrical problem, since cruise control was on when the car shut off.

The fuel pump relay on the totally integrated power module (tipm) on my 2011 dodge grand caravan is operating intermittently which is causing engine stalls and hard starts. after researching the problem, i found that there is already a recall (safety recall r09 / nhtsa 15v-115) for the same issue for other dodge and jeep vehicles equipped with the same engine & tipms. troubleshooting has verified that the fuel pump relay is indeed the issue. an attempting to purchase the relay kit cbwpr091aa specified in the recall from my local dodge dealer in conway arkansas failed. they tell me they can't sell me the part because the recall does not cover my vehicle and that i would have to bring the vehicle in for a $1000+ tipms board replacement. dodge is extorting exorbitant amounts from their customers for expensive repairs that could be done at a tiny fraction of the cost if customers were allowed to purchase that simple relay kit. meanwhile i'm having to operate an unsafe vehicle until i find another source to obtain the specified part in the recall. this model vehicle should also be part of that safety recall and dodge/chrysler should be investigated for ...
I have previously reported an issue with my vehicle. the problem has persisted. the issue at hand is the vehicle loses power without warning while driving. it has happened at low speeds (25 mph), middle speeds (45 mph) and high speeds (65-70 mph). all warning lights are disabled when the events occur, so there is no way to warn other vehicles of the issues at hand, increasing the probability of a crash. i have taken my vehicle to cutter dodge in honolulu only to have been told that the battery cables were loose ($150 service fee) and that the primer that is included with new batteries to apply on the battery posts was something that they'd never seen before. the problem has persisted. i currently have my vehicle at a repair shop with a battery that won't hold a charge because the intergrated power module is malfunctioning. as seen is previous complaints, this issue is ongoing with 2012 dodge grand caravans. this issue presents a significant safety hazard and should be recalled. i will repeat that the driver has no warning that this issue will occur and it puts lives ...
February my husband and i financed this car and within less than one month we been experiencing one issue after another. first, the heater hose had a hole in it then after that was the radiator then after we replaced those two now we have a issue with the exhaust modifier as well a issue with the brakes today the tires locked up on us. could be related to the issues thats been reported on the newer dodge grand caravans.
I turned off my 2013 grand caravan and noticed a sound like a fan buzzing coming from the rear tire area. in a few hrs i came back out and tried to start it and the battery was dead. research tells me it's the fuel pump relay.

After almost every fill up vehicle stalls when going down road. after researching the problem i found the vapor/liquid separator valve is defective. evidently this is a common problem and a safety issue in my opinion. to be driving down the road and your vehicles shut down is dangerous. why does the manufacturer not have a recall on this problem.
