2013 dodge caravan driver side head test deployed for no reason while stopped at a red light on the morning of september 8th, 2019. my vehicle was stationary. no accident or rear collision occurred. photos of front and back of vehicle will prove no damage. it appears the plastic retainer which holds the component together failed and snapped on its own accord. this is a safety issue and needs to be addressed by dodge/chrysler.

Vie owned the van for a year now . and then without being involved in any kind of a bump or accident. no damage shown on the of any .the air bag light stated blaring on the dash .im very concerned that if i was involved in a future accident. they would fail.

The airbag light goes on and off every so often also blinks when going a certain speed.

Air bag light comes and goes when corner is turned.

I have installed a blue driver diagnostics tool to my vehicle and reported that i have a recall for my vehicles airbag (please see attachment), but when i called chrysler/dodge help desk and said that i don't have any recall listed in my file. when i called blue driver company they said that information is came from chrysler. it's says in the recall info (blue driver) that its free of charge, but when i called chrysler help desk, the dealer will charge me for diagnostics. i just want to know if this recall from blue driver car diagnostic company's recall reports an accurate recall information, this is a safety issue information so that is why i'm concern about it. hope you can help me. thanks!

I purchased this auto on 8/12/2013. according to the dodge website the car has an outstanding recall on it (safety recall n44 / nhtsa 13v-283 reprogram occupant restraint control module). i specifically asked the dealer when i bought the car if there were any recalls on it and was told "no." now i learn that not only does it have an open recall on it, but also that chrysler announced over a month before my purchase date. *tr

The air bag light turned on while sitting at a complete stop. i noticed that when i get up from the seat the light will go off and then back on again once i sit back down. i seemed to do it more when the car had been in direct sun light. since the first time it came on the light is random and comes on and off at any given time. dealer has been notified and service is scheduled for later this week. *tr
