Problems with 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

On average, the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan starts to “feel” problems with the FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM and its various aspects after 86 614 miles.

Recently reported FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM problems on 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan

Van stalls and sometimes will not start back up . this has happened a few times on the highway so i can no longer drive the van as this problem is getting worst every day my husband drives it to work and has had the same problem as i have had with the van. we are thinking of trading it in but don't want anyone to get suck in the middle of the highway

My van is cranking but not turning over. there are several recalls for the same issue for other dodge and chrysler vehicles but not mine. it states when researching it's a tipm issue.

Car will not start, will crank but no turn over. it will only start if i bypass the fuel pump relay. this is an ongoing issue with dodge/chrysler and some vehicles have been recalled for this fault tipm but the caravan hasn't. this is a safety issue as the car will stall at any moment while driving if does start to begin with.

While traveling on freeway 65 mph vehice completely stalled out after several attemps to restart in restarted has stalled multiple times mechanic says it is fuell pump relay in tipm.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle vibrated abnormally without warning. the contact depressed the accelerator pedal with excessive force in order for the shaking to stop. additionally, the service engine warning light illuminated and the vehicle stalled. the contact was unable to restart the vehicle on several occasions. the contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to immediately start. several attempts were needed to start the vehicle. the contact stated that the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and the contact was informed that the fuel pump relay needed to be replaced. jeep, chrysler dodge ram & fiat of ontario located at 1202 auto center dr, ontario, ca 91761, 909-390-9898, was contacted by phone in attempt to purchase the necessary part for repair. the contact was informed that due to nhtsa campaign number: 15v115000 (electrical system) the part was unable to be purchased. the vehicle had not been repaired. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. the approximate failure mileage was 115,000. the vin was invalid.

The vehicle does not start intermediately and has been diagnosed as a problem with the fuel pump relay embedded in the tipm that cannot be accessed or repaired by normal means. this defect can cause the vehicle to shut down without warning causing a great safety problem. this same problem was experienced by the dodge durango and other chrysler vehicles and a recall was issued to fix this problem.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts. the contact stated that the failure was intermittent. the vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed or repaired. the contact was concerned that the fuel pump relay failed and needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 72,000.

Our vehicle was hard to start, and would sometimes stall while driving. after doing a bit of research on all possible solutions, it only worked when bypassing the fuel relay. this is the same problem that affected the durango and grand cherokee with their tipm. *tr

My tipm failed while driving on a highway near my house. fuel delivery cut off while driving. the vehicle fortunately had enough momentum to get back home, but will not start at all. diagnosed as a faulty tipm module. doing some research, nhtsa has previously recalled a very similar tipm in the grand cherokee and durango, essentially allowing chrysler to recall the vehicles and install a new relay that bypasses the tipm and allows fuel to flow. i encourage nhtsa to expand this recall to all affected 2010+ chrysler vehicles with tipms in the strongest possible terms. i am very lucky that i wasn't stranded or seriously injured. many other similar complaints exist online and even in the nhtsa forums.

Accelerates on its own while it was stationary and going down the highway. it would not start when turning on. had to replace the fuel pump and now being told that it needs the tipm replaced to start.

We have had our van now for almost 2 years with no problems. in mid-august, my wife was taking my daughter to marching band practice at 5 am. she told me that as she was going through an intersection, it just stalled on her. thankfully, it was only 5 am and not during rush hour. being the skeptical guy i am, i though maybe she had hit the key somehow and shut it down. then it happened to me and i was nearly rear-ended. i checked it out and didn't find anything, but from that day forth, it became hard to start at random times. sometimes when we turn the key, the ignition will crank, but the engine won't start and we'll have to turn the key off to make it stop turning over. other times, it will attempt to start, or even start, then immediately stall. eventually, and sometimes after 8-10 attempts, it will start and run until the next time we park it. ever since i checked it out, i have noticed that, at times, you can't hear the hum of the fuel pump when you turn the key, while other times it doesn't seem to stop making noise. just this morning, i left to go to work, only to find that the van won't start. apparently, one of the other obvious signs of a bad tipm is the occasional dead battery....caused by a fuel pump that the tipm fuel relay fails to shut off.at this point, my van has been sitting since october of 2016, as we cannot afford the high repair cost. the repair estimate that i was quoted for the tipm will cost around $1100. had this been taken care of by chrysler, i may have saved what i spent on batteries and the alternator.

My automatic detector for windshield wipers is inop. my vehicle will not start up in the morning. replaced numerous items and was told it was tipm which is a known issue searching throughout the internet.

Several things has been happening. van would speed up for no apparent reason, it has stalled while driving, two front windows went down by themselves, i've had to try several times to start the van, its gotten a lot worse! took it to cr dodge dealer in adrian mi had to pay $60.00 to diagnose it. they came up with thermostat and crankshaft position sensor labor $297.05 parts $76.20 took it home a couple days same crap. put 02 oxygen sensor because it was also running really bad at times. a couple days later same crap. took it back again said it needs a new fuel pump module. had to take it to a different mechanic because it would take them at least 2 weeks to get one in.so around $500.00 for the pump. a few days later again hard to start, it seems like if there were a lot of moisture in the air or rain it was worse. so yesterday went out and was completely dead! got a jump it finally started. turned it off tried to start it with the aftermarket remote starter wouldn't start again at all after that just cranks and i don't hear the fuel pump coming on. i told the "dodge" service man that i read about the tipm and i thought it was that. he said no, he said it depends when and where the van was made???? dodge does not care about their customers!!!! i am sooooooo aggravated!!!! *tr

My 2011 caravan has 68k miles on it. for the past few months, it will intermittently have problems starting. everything seems fine until you turn it to crank and then it just makes a click noise. it will do this anywhere from 2 to 20 times until it finally cranks. it will be fine for days and then suddenly... no start. i've left it at my mechanic for one week last month and one week this month. they replaced the battery, but no avail. they have seen it in action (actually came to me because they are totally stumped too), but cannot replicate it. so i'm out $800 in car rental fees and no one can figure out why the thing is acting like it is. i'm worried i'm going to be stranded with a hand full of kids and a car that won't start. i don't like feeling like i can't trust my car. dodge has been unhelpful as well, although i'm giving the dealership a shot at this problem again and taking it there. another week of rental car fees - yay! from reading online and a quick youtube search, it appears i'm not alone with this problem. i just want it fixed, whatever the problem is.

Car (2011 grand caravan) would crank but not start. i had it towed to safford dodge in springfield, virginia. they diagnosed the problem as a bad fuel pump. i paid $950 for a tow and a new fuel pump. as soon as i drove the vehicle home, it was doing the exact same thing (crank but not start). eventually, it started but, later in the day, it would not start at all. i contacted the dealer and made arrangements for it to be towed in again. eventually, the service guy calls back and says they are having trouble pinpointing the problem. before this point i had researched the problem and discovered the multiple issues with the tipm module. the next morning he calls my wife and tells her that we need a new tipm module and it's going to cost $1200 to replace it. she told him that we would pay for the tipm module provided they deducted the cost of the new fuel pump which we believe was replaced in error. service guy was adamant that fuel pump was bad and that it had to be replaced. he said they had isolated the pump and confirmed that it had power coming to it before diagnosing that it needed to be replaced. this may be true but i have zero faith that this guy was telling me the truth. i have read several reports on the internet where people had their fuel pump replaced in error. i eventually went to the service manager. he was also insistent that the fuel pump failed simultaneously with the tipm module. i also asked him if they had replaced multiple tipm modules and he acted as if this was a very rare repair; however, when he insinuated that my fuel pump and tipm had failed simultaneously, he acted as if he had seen this several times?! my central concern is that there have been several reports of the tipm module failing abruptly at highway speed.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. while attempting to start the engine, the fuel system failed to engage and the vehicle stalled. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed a failure code for the fuel pump. the vehicle was repaired and the fuel pump assembly was replaced. the manufacturer stated that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 14v530000 (electrical system). the failure mileage was 77,000.

Vehicle began having issues starting, intermittently at first, about 3-4 weeks ago. 4 days ago, vehicles battery was dead, wouldn't start for several attempts. stalled twice while driving 60 mph continued to not start, battery, alternator, starter, wiring all checked out okay with local repair shop. the fuel pump relay in the tpim (total integrated power module) was bad, required whole tpim to be replaced.

Was driving and van shut down with no power steering it was difficult to coast off highway almost got hit by another car. when i did it would not start again right away but eventually after several attemps it cranked up. this has happend multiple times and i have young kids to have to be taken to school in it. thx dodge

Would not start on several occasions. purchased new battery. took it to local mechanic. almost put in a new starter but researched it first on the internet. seemed like it was a faulty tipm. called local chrysler dealer and told them the issues. after a week, they said i needed a new tipm ($1200) and would not cover the cost. said that they did not know anything about a tipm recall. i did not get it replaced. called chrysler customer care and they said that i did not qualify for a recall. i have driven chrysler dodge caravans for over 25 years and i am greatly disappointed that they are not standing behind their product. they know that there is an issue with all the tipms in their vehicles and they only recalled certain makes and models. meanwhile, i hold my breath every time i try to start my car. i am retired and cannot afford to replace that part for that price. i had this car as a company car starting in january of 2011 and purchased it from ari in july of 2014.

For the past year or so we have had check engine light on and off and have had it checked at dodge dealerships and private mechanics. the code they kept coming up was a general code of "misfire" so dodge convinced us to get the spark plugs fixed and to do fuel cleaner to our fuel tank because it was "probably that". after the fixes were made as a result of what dodge told us to do, the same problems continued to occur. after several more times of the van "sputtering" down the road in both city and highway driving feeling like it was about to stall out which could have caused injury to my family or myself, it got to the point it would not even start. we took it to get fixed yet again thinking it was the fuel pump to find out it was the tipm. this is a part that is known to go wrong in dodge vans yet there is no recall on it or any fix for it. i transport my three kids in this vehicle that we still owe money on to find out one of its main components is faulty and there is no fix so it is over a grand out of our pockets (and several 100 other people) to get this part fixed. not to mention the fact that our car is rendered useless until this is done. dodge needs to be held accountable for this part that is faulty in 2011 grand carvans. families don't need to be seriously hurt or even killed because this little part stops working mid drive (which happened to us but we were pulling out of the driveway with no one around). please hold them accountable. if you can't then make someone else! it is not fair to the consumer who put their trust in dodge! this has been a year and a half of constant issues that have come out of our wallets while the car maker sits pretty.

Car has a hard time starting or will cut of while driving. almost got in accident while slowing down for red light.

Car shuts off suddenly up (stall while driving on the highway), lost all power, brake and steering wheel are affected make impossible to drive safely the vehicle. this causes problems to safely put you out off the road. also, we have problems to turn on the vehicle in the mornings, and consumes up to the death a new battery car in months (less than a year). as per the dodge dealer this problems is caused due a faulty tipm and a bad fuel gas pump. replace both will cost around $2,000 usd. looking over the web this security threat it is a common issue for dodge grand caravan 2011-2012. grand cherokee and durango for the same years have recalls for this situation, but not the grand caravan. this is a security issue documented for the cherokee and the durango that should apply to the grand caravan as it is the same problem. i hope that your agency will be able to intervene with this serious problem.

Just purchased the van used, have a loan on it and now apparently there is a $1,000-$1300 repair that needs to be done because dodge fails to admit any wrong-doing. this is of serious safety concern. when i was finally able to get my van started, i went to put it in reverse and it wouldn't move. turns out it had died on me. as with many other people, the tipm is to blame. the van can die at any point because of the loss of power to the fuel pump, if there is no fuel getting to the engine, then there is no power steering, and no power brakes. how is it that there are other models with the same issue that got recalled, but not the grand caravan?!

Power to the fuel pump. i have noticed that sometimes the vehicle will not start after the first try. some times i have to turn the key to off then to run three times and then go to start. at that point the vehicle will start. i sometimes can't hear the fuel pump turn on when i go to start the car. i just keep turning the key off and on until i can hear the pump run. it always starts after i can hear the pump turn on. another problem is every once in a while i will just hear a cling when going to start the vehicle but the starter doesn't turn over just cling. that has happened twice. i got the battery checked out by aaa the battery was just working great.

In the year that i have owned my van, it has exhibited multiple problems, that i thought were different issue, but i now find are all related to a defect in the tipm. sporadically, whether vehicle was cold, or not, i would put the key in to start it and nothing would happen. no sound, as if the battery was completely dead. i could shift the car out of park, put it back in park, and the car would start. the next symptom that exhibited was that i would try to start the car and it would turn over, but sound as if it was out of gas. it would eventually start. finally it got to the point that it wouldn't start at all. testing showed that the battery was dead. it was recharged and the vehicle driven and tested to determine that the battery was holding a charge, and that the alternator was not the issue. through different testing it was determined that the issue with tipm. the fact that i am going to be tasked with a $1500 repair on a car that i still owe $14,000 on is ridicuous. called the dealership to see if there was any chance that they might be acknowledging this issue and fix it. the asst. manager stopped just short of laughing at me. if this is where your are at check out http://www.verticalvisions.com/

Vehicle does not start easily and at times experiences total power loss i've changed every fuse and relay as well as fuel pump and any other module or relay that can be replaced and much to my dispare the problems are still there to the point i don't feel safe driving with or without my whole family when it finally does decide to start it runs great but then you have to worry about the complete power loss issue which renders my brakes power steering and stability control completely useless! i don't know what else to do i'm stuck paying my finance company for a vehicle i can't drive and basically serves as little more than a pretty yard ornament we just got this vehicle in november 2015 the first sign of an issue was less than a week after purchase after little more than a month after driving off the lot and the third time losing power while driving the final time being on 275 in cincinnati 1/5/16 i decided that it's probably best to park the vehicle and not put our family in jeopardy especially during the cold cincinnati winter until we can figure it out or afford both the car payment and the trip to the ridiculously expensive dodge dealership to pay for their technicians figure it out and then pay again to have it repaired

After months of vehicle sometimes starting, sometimes not, it finally would not start. would crank but not turn over, the week prior to this, press on gas pedal and nothing happened (while driving) - very dangerous. diagnosis = new fuel pump. car is 4 years old with less than 60,000 miles.

Vehicle not starting after several attempts or stalling at speed. tipm tested and found to have a faulty fuel relay. this is the same exact part involved in the recall of other models in the same year by dodge.

The vehicle was hard to start and often would not start, faulty tipm.

First i was told it was the battery then it was the alternator then it was the key fob. after all these repairs the dodge dealership says now it's the timp module. this van only has 65000 miles. i have seen hundreds of complaints about the very same issues for customers with the same type vehicles. i have also seen the lawsuit and recall for defective timp from 2013 and 2014. my vehicle is one that was listed as an addendum lawsuit that may be affected by this module. this vehicle was purchased in florida in 2012.

Van would crank but would not start. after several attempts it started but ran erratic. after driving van for ~20 minutes van began to hesitate while driving at 55 mph on a state highway. i researched problem on internet and noticed other with a similar problem. i also noticed chrysler announced a recall on 2011 dodge durango and jeep grand cherokee suvs for a very similar problem but not for the grand caravan. the root cause of the problem appears to be the fuel pump relay in the tipm. i discussed the problem with my local chrysler dealership and the service adviser indicated that he was aware of the recall and had also seen the similar issue on vans. the dealership bypassed the relay using mopar part cbwpr091aa wiring - fuel pump relay. part was $18.88 and total bill with labor was $176.00. the van appears to be operating normally at this time.

Fuel relay is stuck in the open condition causing a no start. vehicle will crank but will not start. further testing revealed open contact on the integrated fuel relay. vehicle will run if /when relay is by passed. vehicle was towed in due to no start. replaced (alternator and starter and serpentine belt) all were tested and found to be defective (internally electrical burnt). vehicle is a modified wheel chair van with a kneel-er and under floor ramp. modified by vantage mobility international llc date of conversion 04/17/2012 vmi# u1204166

*the fuel pump does not turn off *trouble starting car and some days just will not start at all *the engine stalls while driving; twice on the freeway luckily no accident. *the horn randomly will go off. * said the key was in the ignition when it wasn't

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that after the vehicle was turned off, the fuel pump continued to function. the failure recurred on numerous occasions. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic but the contact was unsure about what needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 59,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. while in park, the vehicle failed to start. in addition, while driving at 40 mph, the vehicle stalled. the contact was able to restart the vehicle. the dealer diagnosed that the battery needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. the vehicle was taken back to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer who was unable to diagnose or repair the failure. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 150,000.

My grand caravan has issues starting, it just cranks and does not start. i had a dodge mechanic check it out and he found it had the common issue of a bad fuel pump relay in the tipm. this same issue exists in the durango of the same year and it has a recal, why tfk aren't the caravans included. it's the same fix installing an external relay bypassing the one on the tipm.

We have had our 2011 dodge grand caravan for 2 years and approximately 30,000 miles. we had to have the tipm replaced in july 2015. we have had several instances that required a tow as the vehicle would not start or stay running. the tipm burned the fuel pump out and that was the last straw. the tipm was replaced under the after market warranty that we paid for but what other damage could this part have caused to our vehicle? it controls everything the car does for the most part. will there be an investigation of the dodge tipm? there needs to be a recall for all vehicles affected which seems to be quite a lot.

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated to start and stalled several times while driving. the contact's independent mechanic diagnosed that the fuel pump relay failed and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 15v115000 (electrical system). the approximate failure mileage was 70,000. ma 10/22/2015 *cn

The car have 5 problems : a) the car not start the engine in the morning ,consume the battery power without any reason ,the fuel pump continue to run and the car is off. the car stop running while driving put at risk the people in the car.sometimes i have to crank the engine for about 15 minutes and then the car run. i know that this problems is the same as about 188,723 more vehicles . i talk to chrysler and they said my car is from canada and don't have that problems .but the car do exactly the same as the others and have the same problems .please some body help me quick.because i need the car and i am still pay to the bank the car that its not running well .i am afraid to use the car or have an accident. *tr

My car was not on and was stationary, in my drive way. i went to start my car to move it and it wouldn't start. i did some checking on the internet and found that the tipm was having issues. i made a bypass from the passenger outlet to the fuel pump relay to get power. this is a temporary fix but it has worked so far. i have added a picture of my bypass for documentation.

Fuel pump wouldn't disengage causing me to keep taking out fuse which burned my thumbs. won't start at all now. shut off two times while driving on street almost causing accidents both times

For 1 month the vehicle was difficult to start. it would crank just fine, but the engine would not 'ignite' (especially when cold.) the vehicle would finally start after 5-10 long attempts (turning the engine over and over and then turning the key to the off position before trying again.) this difficult startup issue lasted for 4 weeks. at that point the vehicle began to stall after running for 10 - 20 minutes (sometimes while driving.) finally, after parking the vehicle one evening, the fuel pump continued to run after the engine was shut off and the key was removed. it wasn't noticed right away, so by morning the battery was completely dead. all my research indicated the fuel relay is faulty. but the relay is built into the tipm and there is no easy fix. this seems to be happening on all 2011 chrysler/dodge vehicles and there is even a recall on the dodge durango for the issue. this faulty tipm needs to be recalled and replaced. my local dealership has suggested that i get the relay 'fixed" using the fix mentioned in the durango recall. the service adviser suggested it would be around $400 (no guarantee) and that it would be reimbursed if the recall was extended to my make of vehicle at some point in the future. i'm worried that they are going to make it worse and wreck the tipm, which is a part that costs over $1000 (and hard to find.) i hope to update this complaint after the vehicle is 'fixed.' *js

After being told by the dealer our van wouldn't start due to the alternator, we decided to have the alternator looked at. the other mechanic found nothing to be wrong with the alternator. the dealer also said we needed our fuel pump replaced. we have had other vehicles that needed fuel pumps replaced and when the fuel pump went out we were not able to drive it at all. my husband was at an appointment and after turning off van he heard something running. the sound was tracked to the fuel pump. so the dealer wasted our time and money all the time trying to have us replace parts that would not have corrected the problem. after calling and trying to get a fuel pump regulator we discovered the fuel pump regulator is built into the tipm. we have a faulty tipm. i wish dodge would get off their butt and issue a recall already. the only way a can shut the fuel pump off is to unhook the battery. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2011 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that the fuel pump failed to shut off after removing the key from the ignition. as a result, the battery was drained and needed to be replaced. the contact also stated that there was an abnormal noise coming from the rear driver side tire. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

Bases on what i found with my local mechanic and online my van a faulty tipm. dodge currently has a recall out for other vehicle with a bad tipm but claims my van in not affected by it. my van has hard starts or it will start the stall. it takes about 8-10 times before it will start and stay running. also my fuel pump will stay running even after i take the key out. if i do not remove the fuel pump fuse the pump will until the battery dies. *tr

2011 dodge grand caravan 3.6l - problems begin around september with issues cranking the vehicle. the engine would turn over but it was having trouble picking up the fuel. after several attempts the van would start and run fine in the beginning. the issue progressively got worse and more complex. on several occasion while driving, the vehicle lost fuel pressure and stalled momentarily , then picked up fuel again. in november the fuel pump begin not shutting off after the ignition had been switched off and other times it would not pump at all. around the first of january the vehicle stranded us on vacation for 7 hours only to crank once we jumped the van with another vehicle. after that the only way i could start the vehicle in the morning is by jumping it with another vehicle. this week, thinking that there was a short in the fuel pump i replaced it ($300.00 parts only) and the problem continued. the fuel pump fuse (m25) was not blown but there was no power on it. i bypassed the fuel pump fuse with the rear power accessory fuse (m7) and the pump came on with the ignition switch. while the fuse is bypassed the vehicle starts and runs fine. after researching the problem online it appears that i may have a common problem with the tipm. hoping for a recall to help with this costly issue. *tr

About a year ago the vehicle started sporadically not coming on. battery was replaced, that was not the issue, alternator was tested, that was not the issue?about 3-4 months ago the problem got much worse and would sometimes take 2-5 attempts before the car would start. sometimes it would start then immediately stall. last week it just stopped running; would not turn on at all. turns out it is the tipm that has gone bad not allowing the fuel relay to work properly. the part is around $1200 to replace, if you can even find one. chrysler/dodge has recalled this in various other vehicles but still refuses to recall it in the 2011-2012 dodge grand caravan. we have friends who also have a 2011 grand caravan and were having the same problems before us. their dealer replace all sorts of other parts on the car before they took it to a shop that told them it was the tipm; the dodge dealership said they doubted that was the issue but if it was they would replace it for them at no cost. guess what? it turns out that was the issue and now it has been replaced and they have not had an issue since. i have since, after much research on the internet, made a bypass for the vehicle; which will work temporarily but it will not be a permanent fix. i want them to fix my vehicle! *js

In august 2014 our dodge grand caravan (2011) began having problems starting up immediately. this continued and progressively got worse as time went on. we were forced to try and coax the van to start by turning the ignition back and forth from accy (accessory) to start repeatedly, at times for up to 30-45 minutes before it would start. we experienced the van's engine shutting off for no reason at stoplights and in the middle of driving. at one point, the fuel pump would not turn off even though the van was off and the key removed from the ignition. we were forced to disconnect the battery every time we got out of the vehicle so as not to cause possible overheating of the fuel pump. once the fuel pump stopped running we were unable to start the van at all, leaving my stranded in my vehicle until i could be picked up. because this is our only vehicle we were forced to get the tipm replaced which cost $1114.68. *tr

Trouble starting vehicle, draining battery, fuel pump continuously running after vehicle is shut off and key is removed from ignition. i have looked up complaints online and hundreds of other owners have experienced the same problem for faulty tipm.

I have a 2011 dodge grand caravan with about 52,000 miles on it. on day the radio just went off and then turned back on. it did this multiple times before we sent it in to the shop. then one day it would not start. it would turn over but would not fire until i tried it 6 to 10 times and then it would start. we took it in to the dealer for a misfire in cylinder #2 ( recall on left head) but it started all the time for them, until i went to leave, and then no start. the tech was able to duplicate it and said we would trouble shoot it. a week later they called and said it is more then likely the tipm causing the problem and the part is backorder nationally and would cost me $1037 plus tax for the parts and labor. if it is back ordered then there is a big problem and chrysler knows about it. i hope they issue a recall soon so i can get my money back. *tr
