Car would not start at grocery store, had towed and was told ignition module bad. parts ordered saturday afternoon and called back on monday and told price would be double estimate. auto body shop contacted dealer and was told know problem with the wind module/ignition and no longer made that lower price part. now have to buy another module and 2 new remotes since old ones will no longer work with this module. contacted chrysler/dodge and they said yes there were recalls on this item but not listed on my car/vin #. asked why not and said had not reached my car, said need to file so it would help to include more cars. now i have to put out over 700 to repair this know problem. please help to get this fixed. *tr

Chrysler has a recall of the wireless ignition node. i had the symptoms exactly as stated on on their recall but they are not honoring the repair. specifically the car would just turn off for no reason and they could not diagnose it. they told me they were not sure what was causing it. they did not charge and said when it gets worse come back and it will be easier to diagnose. when it would only intermitettenly start they were able to diagnose it. now they are stating it inot covered.

Vehicle intermittently shuts off while driving resulting in the loss of hydraulic systems (power steering, brakes, etc.) once restarted the vehicle will perform within normal specifications. no code is generated by the on-board computer regarding the malfunction. *js

Window vent and lock switch started smoking and start a fire on driver side door door panel is also melted dodge refusing to fix under the recall for the vent switch. *tr

I was pulling out of a side street onto a main road when the engine shut off. this was the second time within the past month that this happened. about a week after i had the second ignition failure i received a recall notice (l25) from chrysler telling me that they had a problem with their frequency operated button ignition key (fobik) that causes the engine to shut down while driving. when i called the chrysler group recall assistance center (1-800-853-1403) they told me that the parts to fix the problem were not available and, even though the vehicle had shut down twice, they didn't care and wouldn't provide a loaner/rental vehicle until the repair was made. this is a similar situation that gm dealt with recently and did provide temporary replacement vehicles. *tr

Van traveling at 70 mph and the horn goes off. pulled over to the side of the road, turned ignition off and on, horn still activated. had to pull two fuses for horn. 8 hours later, tried to re-install fuses, horn still activated. three days later; horn is still not in operation. numerous complaints have been made without resolve. the tipm is on back order and that is the part that needs to be replaced. *tr

Must turn ignition/module 3-5 times before contact is made to start vehicle. problem is persistent, on rare occasion it will start on first attempt. *js

I cranked my van at work and started out of the parking lot. all of the electrical system completely went out. this includes the radio, air, inside lights, all of the dash panel electronics. etc. this is the second time this has happened since i bought the vehicle on 6/19/13. i did take it to the local dealership and they stated that they would need for me to bring it up there the next time it happens and they would have to trace the problem.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that she attempted to start the vehicle but the key was not recognized. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was found that the win module needed to be replaced. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified and informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign number 11v139000 (electrical switch). the failure mileage was approximately 96,000.

In august the check engine light came on we took the van to local auto part stores to get a diagnosis but they were unable to get a reading. we then went to the local dodge dealer to have it checked only to find out their diagnostic equipment was inoperable. that weekend the van would not start so we replaced the battery thinking this was the source of the check engine light. a couple of days later the light was back on. we went back to the dealer and were told that the totally integrated power module needed to be replaced and that it will cost $790 to repair. we went online to possibly find one cheaper and we did but apparently because of the high demand for this part it is on back order. also the turn signals have had a slight malfunction for over 3 1/2 years. when you manually turn the signal off it continues to operate for another 5 seconds. i usually just. ignore this but now wonder if it has some connection to the faulty tipm. *tr

Vehicle won't start. makes electronic clicking noises and lights and won't stop. battery is good. odometer reading flashes also. *tr

Headlights work intermittently. they will quit working unexpectedly while driving. mechanic has been working on them for a month trying to figure out which component is causing the problem.

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that they took the vehicle to the dealer for nhtsa recall campaign id number:11v139(electrical system) for the replacement of the win module on the vehicle. the contact stated that that repair failed and the manufacturer would not replace it a second time. the current mileage was 51,000.rl

In the most serious of many no-start incidents, our van failed to start in 107 degree temperatures with our three small children in the car. we were stranded at a remote rest area, with nowhere to take refuge from the dangerous heat. after 18 attempts the engine finally started and we completed our trip to reno nevada, driving in remote areas amid deadly heat fearing our van would fail to restart if stopped. in the prior week while in fl, the van had a new battery installed at our gator chrysler, in a repair advised to solve no start incidents we had in fl. the van also underwent an inspection, with no problems reported to us. we scheduled a panicked dealer service visit while still in route, at a reno dodge on july 1st 2013. the dealership technicians retained the van to diagnose the no-start for 2 full days. they noted no malfunction and could not reproduce the problem. the van has since developed intermittent failures of several electronic systems, including stalling when placed in reverse, failing to shift into 2nd gear after sitting overnight, no power to the instrument cluster or no power to the console controls. the van at the time of purchase in december of 2011 had previously been "repaired" in the recall for its win module. additionally a pcm reflash 68050411af had been performed. our van continues to have no-start incidents and transmission fails to shift into 2nd gear, no fixes. both reno area chrysler dealerships have looked at our van and noted no failures. despite being "repaired" under recall the ignition module continues to malfunction. with a fob inserted the module shows excess sloppiness in the clockwise direction. the key fob has been stuck in the ignition on several occasions, and the engine has continued running after removal of the key. these malfunctions have potential to become dangerous in certain situations.

I opened the window slightly and rain came in which caused the master switch to smoke profusely. shortly after i realized that the power locks on the master switch no longer were operable due to the incident. *tr

The vehicle's rear a/c works only once in a while. it is only 3 years old and we are running into these problems. once in a while we are driving down the road the hole center console shuts down. lights, a/c, instrument panel shut stops but the car still runs. i have contacted the dealership about problem but the say we must pay at least $200 just to have it looked at. the car is only 3 years old and it seems we are running into one issue after another. i believe the a/c is a safety issue due to the fact it works sometimes but not always. it is something electrical but dodge wont own up to the design flaws. the same thing with the center console/ instrument panel. what happens when im going down the highway and i don't know my speed or anything. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact was included in nhtsa campaign id number:11v139000 (electrical system) and the recall repair was performed; however, the failure recurred multiple times. the vehicle stalled without warning on multiple occasions. the ignition was touched while driving and the vehicle stalled without warning twice. the instrument panel warning lights and gauges randomly short circuit without warning. the contact was able to be restart the vehicle on multiple occasions after the second attempt in park. the vehicle was not taken to an authorized dealer for inspection. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure on multiple occasions and did not provide a remedy. the approximate failure mileage was 84000. updated 05/12/14 ma updated 7/29/17 *cn

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that there was a separate plastic key to start the vehicle which was fractured on one side. the contact stated that after the vehicle was parked and attempted to shut off the vehicle, the vehicle failed to turn off. the ignition remained seized on the acc mode. the contact restarted vehicle in order to unlock the ignition and turn vehicle off. the vehicle was not taken to a repair shop or the dealer for a diagnostic test. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no further assistance. the failure mileage was 58,000. the current mileage was 58,800.

The distance was about 35 miles from our home, bout 45 minutes drive. driver didn't notice anything wrong with the engine or see any warning lights. the car was swaying like on a windy day, another car honked at us, then we heard loud road noise. we pulled over and turned off the engine. saw the rear passenger tire was flat to the rim. noticed a smoky smell. saw little puffs of white smoke coming from under the hood. to be safe we removed children from the car; two 4 yr old children were in the backseat buckled in their car-seats. infant was in the middle drivers side seat buckled in his car seat. driver and car owner were in the front. keys were removed from the ignition. we walked away from the vehicle, waited at the fence-line away from the vehicle while calling for a tow. smoke appeared to have stopped for about 5 minutes. suddenly black smoke started pouring out of the engine, embers dropping to the road from under the front of the car. we moved the children further away from the vehicle. several truckers pulled over and brought fire extinguishers. one opened the hood flames flared up the fire truck arrived after the fire had been extinguished. one said the fire appeared to have started in the fan. the chp officer said the firefighters would disconnect the battery. when we looked at the inside of the front of the car everything was burnt and melted, the hood was buckled, front grill melted. the fire was extinguished before the rest of the car was damaged. *tr

Vehicle was sold to customer without recall nhtsa 11v-139 being installed in nov 2011. customer never notified; however, the vehicle had a window switch failure in feb 2012 at about 60k miles at which time the dealer used l25 instead of a complete win module replacement. custumer was not told of the replacement and it was not reported to carfax or other entities. may 13, 2013 after a distance trip, custumer parked the vehicle for 2 minutes. when attempting restart the vehicle had power but would not start and shifter was locked. diagnosis shows full failure of the win module. the l25 recommended partial replacement did not prevent failure. even though no accident occurred, customer was travelling from md to va and shutdown could have occurred on highway 301 or i95. upon confronting the dealer, dealer stated that they do not have to disclose the recall or have to perform the work even though the dealer service instructions on july 2011 stated that the dealer must complete the recall before retail delivery. consequently, this vehicle was one of the ones that needed a full replacement and not a partial. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle stalled. the failure recurred three times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnosis. the technician stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 11v139000 (electrical system). the vehicle was service per the recall however, the failure continued. the win module was replaced a second time but to no avail. the technician was unable to diagnose the failure. the manufacturer was made aware of the problem. the vehicle was not further repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 32,000. *tr

Jan 31, 2:00pm i parked the vehicle to pick my son up from pre-school. after securing my children to their respective car seats, i buckled myself in and proceeded to start the engine, the vehicle's engine would not start. strong electrical-smelling fumes were emitted and the etc light came on. we had the vehicle towed to a jeep, dodge, & chrysler dealership for servicing for 5 days. the service tech insisted that nothing was detected aside from slight corrosion in the battery plugs, which needed to be replaced. we did what was advised and took our vehicle back on feb 6. feb 13, 9:45am after making a quick stop at a grocery store, the same problem occurred. the vehicle engine would not start, but the radio was coming on. i turned off the vehicle and proceeded to restart the vehicle. once again the etc light came on and this time, white smoke was coming out from under the hood. after seeing the smoke, i quickly turned off the vehicle and took my child out. our vehicle is now stranded in the parking lot of a grocery store waiting to be towed to the same dealership. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph the vehicle stalled without warning. the failure recurred five times intermittently. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. the technician was unable to duplicate or diagnose the failure. the contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 11v139000 (electrical system) but was advised by the manufacturer that the vin was not included in the recall. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 27,500.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that the vehicle cut off while driving at 70 mph. the contact was able to coast the vehicle onto the shoulder where it was restarted. the vehicle was able to be driven to a private mechanic where it was found that win module had failed. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer informed the contact that the vehicle was not included in nhtsa campaign id number: 11v139000 (electrical system: ignition). the failure and the current mileage was 67,477. updated 2/19/13 updated 02/25/13 updated 02/28/13 updated 04/18/2017 *js the consumer stated after the vehicle was purchased, it began to have mechanical problems. the dashboard lights to be serviced would turn on and off. the van occasionally cut off but would start up with the turn of the key. the light indicators were malfunction indicator light. electronic stability light, and the electronic throttle control. the win module, battery, starter, and oxygen sensors were repaired by the owner. the consumer requested to be advised on what to do next. updated 06/19/2017*js

I was driving down the express way at 75 mph and the car completely shut off. the car died and everything shut off (lights, heating, engine) i was able to coast to the side of the express way. i calmed myself down and started the car up again and drove home. the ignition ring recall was already replaced back in 2011 before we owned the van. we had a 2nd incident that happened on february 6th. this time i was driving in a parking lot and it died again. i turned on my hazards and started the van again and it started right up. *tr

When driving on the freeway at night the headlights suddenly shut off they would not come back on, neither the headlights or the high beams would work, i put the hazard lights on and got off the road, after that the headlights blinked when turned on and then would not come on at all, after that they came on and then shut back off again while driving on city streets, the headlights turn off while driving or do not turn on at all. *tr

2010 dodge grand caravan. consumer writes in regards to vehicle shutdown while driving. *smd shortly after the vehicle was purchased, the vehicle would fully shutdown; engine off, radio off, power locks disabled, windshield wipes off etc. the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times, only to get the vehicle back, with the problem still present. *jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. while driving various speeds, the ignition switch turned off without warning. the contact lost power to the brakes and steering wheel and had to shift into neutral to restart the vehicle. the contact stated that the failure occurred on several different occasions over the years. the contact took the vehicle several times to butler chrysler dodge jeep (1555 salem rd, beaufort, sc 29902 (843) 474-0026), but the failures could not be duplicated or diagnosed. recently, the contact spoke to an independent mechanic who stated that they would need to keep the vehicle overnight to complete diagnostic testing and attempt to duplicate the failure. prior to this, the failure recurred. the vehicle was towed to butler chrysler dodge jeep, but the diagnosis was unknown. the contact's insurance company informed her about nhtsa campaign numbers: 11v139000 (electrical system) and 14v373000 (electrical system, air bags); however, the vin was excluded. the contact tried contacting the manufacturer four times by leaving voice messages, but had not received a response. the failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Driving on interstate i-90 when i lost power to wipers, turn signals, radio, power windows. i took the van back to the dodge dealer since they had fixed the wireless ignition module under a recall notice in august of 2010. i was told to touch the key and the power would return which it did do.i was also told that the problem of the key turning off the engine was fixed under the recall but they now have this problem. since first reporting the problem in october this has occurred more frequently. *tr

The car shifts hard. when first started in the morning it ruins up high prm's before the car shifts. the car transmission sometimes fails to engage when i attempt to pass a car on the highway or when i just want to speed up. this can happen when i am going 30 mph or 60 mph. it happens at random times. recently the electrical system has started acting up. last week when i went into the grocery store the window went down by themselves while i was in the store.(it was raining out so i am sure the windows were up when i locked the doors to go inside) the driver's side door does not lock or unlock with the remote control. also when i go to exit the car the lock is sticking and it is at times difficult to open the door. today when my wife went out to the van the car had unlocked and the front lights were on. i re-locked the car and it unlocked itself again. i have had the car into the dealership where i purchased numerous times(5 or 6) to have the transmission looked at but they don't get an"error code" so they say there is nothing that can be done. *tr

My vehicles is having strange electrical issues. the gauges move erratically, my dash lights and head lights flicker, my radio and air turn off by them selves. all the warning light flash and the warning chime sounds. all these things happen without warning. i called the dodge dealer and they told me that it sounded like the tipm. this component has affected thousands and thousands of caravan owners. they quoted me $900 plus dollars to get fix. that is $900 plus dollars that i don't have. with the numbers of incidents and the amount of potential dangers that this issue puts the community in, i believe that this should be a recall issue. unlike me who has a family, and i am still am making payments on the vehicle, a costly repair like this that i cant afford, could be afforded by dodge to recall it. i mean they are a huge company. *tr

Prior to 9/6/2012, engine light came on for what the dealer said no reason. then on 9/6/2012, van broke and would not start. it appeared as if stuck in all gears and i was told this was an electrical problem. there is a recall on this type/year of van for electrical problems, recall #11v139000;however, no recall shows up for my van vin #. i don't feel this vehicle is safe. the dealer has had my vehicle for a week now along with another one same make and model/year that they are having the same issue. there is a definite problem with this model vehicle. my vehicle is still not repaired or exact problem diagnosed. yet, they expect me to drive it again when i get it back. these electrical issues need to be further evaluated. yes my van was in a parking lot but that was lucky. please look into this further. the dealer don't even understand the problem on these 2 grand caravans per our last conversation we had today. *tr

The key fob will not come out of the ignition. it stays in the accessory point. if you move the car forward and then backward, then place the shifter in park, some times the key fob will come out of the ignition. *tr

We had our ignition repaired 2 times already. once because the ignition shut off the engine at 60 miles per hour. then again for the recall for the ignition modular that was why the engine was getting shut off by the ignition and now the key will not come out of the ignition. we took the van to the dealership and explained that the key will not come out unless we play with turning on and off the van, putting it in reverse then forward, out of park into drive and wasting a lot of time and gas just to get it to come out. the service tech said first the key was into too loose before the recall and now it is in too tight after the recall part was put in. so after driving 100 miles for service we are told make sure to put the van in park and the key should come out. well it does not. nothing shows up on their computers so they will not fix the problem. the key will not turn off the engine so if the key is left in the battery could go dead. i have to go through off and on, drive, reverse to get the key out. i am afraid that the ignition problem could turn the engine off again at 60 miles an hour. no one is helping us because, in my opinion, this is the third repair on the ignition, making the van a lemon. so this is why we got no receipt of service for the tech telling us to put the van in park. my husband was a state trooper and taught defensive driving classes at the police academy. i have been driving for 45 years. so we both know how to put the van in park and how to remove a key from an ignition. chrysler has not responded to our complaint. *tr

After approximately 30 minutes of operation at 50mph my entire dash light warning system light up & then went dark. the vehicle engine died. as i was slowly coasting to a stop, the lights & vehicle spontaneously came back on & resumed normal operation. a check of the diagnostic codes recorded no incident & i cannot recreate the failure. about 2 weeks after that incident, i started my engine, began to reverse out of a parking spot, when the a/c unit stopped blowing & lights went out, clock & dash went dark. i pulled back into the spot, parked, turned off the ignition & restarted the vehicle, and the a/c, radio, panel has worked fine ever since. still no codes reported during a diagnostic. someone is going to get killed driving the 2010 dodge grand caravan! all the while, the manufacture denies that there is a problem with their vehicles. i purchased this vehicle new, this isn't the first time i've had problems with this vehicle. i am fastidious about service & maintenance of my vehicle, and have the receipts to prove it. *tr

The windshield wipers came on but would not turn off. the windows would not work, the control panel would not register. all warning lights lit up. the possible complications are multiple. the vehicle is considered unsafe to operate by the owners. *tr

Rear passenger wheel gets extremely hot while driving. it appears that the caliper may be locking up. the rear wheel on the driver side also makes a high pitched whine, which is intermittent and usually goes away by tapping the brake pedal. we took it to the dealer and they said we needed a rear brake job. however, i believe this is due to defective calipers which are not releasing the pads from the rotors. the rear brakes on every car i have owned always last significantly longer than the front. the fact that the rear pads are worn excessively while front are not indicates a defect in the rear brake assembly. the ignition was repaired as part of a recall. however, after starting the car, the key does not return to the "on" position. this allows the car to run and be driven, however none of my lights or directionals work. i can wiggle the key to get it into the correct position, but sometimes it is not obvious that the key is in the wrong position. this results in me driving without headlights in the rain and thinking that i am signaling properly in turns when in fact everything is off. *js

After placing shifting lever in park, stepping on the emergency brake i tried to remove ignition key and it would not come out. i doubled check to make sure i was placing in the off position. placed shifter lever in various positions and then back into park and the key still would not come out. sat there for about 5-10 minutes and then the key finally came out. took to dealership and they could not duplicate issue but dealership lubricated the ignition cylinder and it seemed to help. then it happened again about 6 months later and i again took to the same dodge dealer (rockwall dodge in rockwall tx 75189). they removed the ignition key and removed a spring or replaced a spring and stated this should fix it. however, over the last several months it is doing the same thing...ignition switch stuck. i am afraid someday i will not be able to turn engine off or get key out. have others had this problem? *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that there was a progressive failure, which randomly occurred for longer than two years in which the vehicle stalled without warning. the contact had to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road to restart the vehicle. the instrument panel also shorted out and the functions failed to work on the vent controls for the heating and air conditioning. the dealer was notified of the failure more than twice and was unable to supply the part to repair the vehicle. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 14v373000 (electrical system). the dealer stated that the part was not available within a reasonable timeframe to schedule the recall repair. the dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. the manufacturer could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. the contact stated that the vehicle stalled without warning. the failure mileage was not available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated the vehicle was repaired under nhtsa recall campaign id number 11v139000 (electrical system:ignition); however, after the repair was performed the ignition key fractured when inserted into the ignition cylinder. the failure occurred six times. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 60,000. updated 07/06/12 *bf updated 07/12/12.*jb

Tl*the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that while driving at 67 mph, the entire electrical component became inoperable. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the vin was not available. the approximate failure mileage was 100,000.

Bought vehicle used from a dodge dealership in 2012, after several months engine shut off while driving on highway and then spontaneously restarted. this happened maybe once a month but then became more frequent until it is now almost a daily occurrence. when this occurs sometimes car will restart if you slightly turn the key towards start quick enough, otherwise you have to shift into neutral to have some control and then turn the key to restart (not fun or safe in traffic at highway speeds). this can happen while sitting in the driveway before moving or at any speed, bumpy roads especially bad. once we realized what the problem was with the ignition switch/key i did some research and found the recall 11v-139 and determined that our van was built during the recall manufacture dates. called dodge 3 times, first two calls was told recall did not exist. on the 3rd call was told it did exist but my vin was not included in recall. i asked to at least have the ignition scanned with the witech scan tool (as described in the instructions in the l25 recall notice sent to dealers) dealer to determine if it was a marquardt, siemens or continental win module. i was told i could do this at my expense but even if the results showed it was a recalled ignition it would not be covered since my vin was not in the recall. this situation is extremely dangerous and if it has not caused any deaths yet as with the current gm ignition problem it will. something needs to be done. p.s. vehicle also has the transmission bearing noise problem and the leaky/noisy power steering problems that dodge has described in service bulletins but has also not recalled. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the vehicle was included in the recall under nhtsa campaign id number: 11v139000 (electrical system:ignition) and was repaired. after the repair the contact was driving approximately 35 mph when he noticed that the electronic functions of the vehicle failed. the vehicle did not stall but the turn signals and the instrument panel lights would not illuminate. the failure occurred two different times. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic. the vin was not available. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 48,000.

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 dodge grand caravan. the contact stated that after having repairs performed on the vehicle under nhtsa campaign id number:11v139000 (electrical system:ignition), the turn signals, windshield wipers and the power windows failed intermittently. the contact stated the failures were non-existent prior to having the recall remedy performed on the vehicle. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not further repaired. the failure and the current mileages were 7,000.

Electronic throttle control light comes on periodically, causing inconsistent, poor or non-existent throttle response. traction control light may also light up. restarting the vehicle usually makes the problem go away, but this is not an acceptable solution. occasionally, with the etc light on, throttle response does not occur at all, which is hazardous in traffic. *tr

2010 dodge grand caravan. consumer writes in regards to vehicle ignition key problems. *smd the consumer stated after a repair was made on the vehicle, the keys were extreme;y snug and it was difficult to turn the ignition to the on position. in late december, the first key would not start the vehicle, but would un-lock it. on january 7, 2014, the second key failed in the same way. again, the consumer had to pay hundreds of dollars to get a new key, as well as the first key, since it was defective and kept opening the rear door on its own. *jb

While traveling southbound on i-75 at milepost 263.3 a faint alarm of some kind came on. then the engine began making a noise and quit. when i pulled over to the side of the highway the engine compartment shot flames and smoke from under the hood. i was attempting to release the hood latch when flames burst in through the firewall under the dash. we then abandoned the vehicle and called 911. by the time a fire truck arrived the van was totally burned. i have the vehicle serviced regularly and had just replaced the tires and brakes. i have no idea what the cause might have been but it bears looking into. *kb
