The headlights cut off while we were traveling 55 mph at night. they would work only if i held the bright light switch all the way pulled back (i tried almost everything known to man). i looked on the internet and found several complaints and quick fixes. one was to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes, did not work. the one that worked was to hit, shake or jiggle the black box (tipm) under the hood on drivers side. bingo, it worked for about 3 weeks, did it again, 3 weeks later had to do it again. now the lights will not work while holding the dim/bright switch. the lights came back on the next day. took it to the dealer and paid $98 to them only to tell me it was the tipm module and needed replacing for a fee of $1100 and it might not fix it due to being a faulty tipm part. i paid extra for extended bumper to bumper coverage supposedly covering everything only to find out, it doesnt cover the tipm module. i cant afford the repair right now so hopefully it wont go out when driving on busy highway at night. btw, this van is on the 3rd battery, probably due from the faulty tipm module (electrical system). the door locks work most of the time but not all the time. the fob recall was said to fix that problem. the interior lights come on randomly. headlights go off while driving down the road at night.

Received recall notice on wireless ignition node module in june 2015. called local dodge dealer on 6/23/15. was told it was going to be a looooonnnngggg time before they could fix it. they took my number and said they'd call when it came in. it is now october with no word at all. recall noted that it could case a crash and this my wife's vehicle that she drives our 2 young children in. please rectify with expediency. thank you. *tr

Several times in late june & early july all electrically operated equipment in our 2010 dodge caravan quit working. during a recent heavy downpour our 21 year old son was driving on a major highway in rush-hour traffic when the wipers, defroster and power windows all quit working. unable to see out of the windshield or put the driver\'s side window down he did his best to cross two lanes of traffic and pull over and stop. fortunately this very dangerous maneuver was successful and he survived the situation shaken but unscathed. we took the vehicle into the dealership and they replaced a faulty tipm. in researching this matter i see that failing tipm's are common among chrysler products and have been the subject of several recalls in similar vehicles. i also see that our vehicle is on the list of those being investigated by the nhtsa for faulty tipm's and is also on the list of vehicle in a class action suit against chrysler. we were very fortunate that our son survived this incident which was clearly caused by a component chrysler knows to be faulty and subject to failure in highly dangerous situations such as ours. we have been loyal chrysler customers for many years and also own a 2012 dodge caravan. because of the circumstances our dealer took $200 off of the price of the new tipm for us but we still paid $788.50 plus tax & labor to have it replaced. we feel it is quite unfair that chrysler should profit from placing us in a life-threatening situation. we reported this incident to chrysler using their online form but they refused to take ownership of the problem or to reimburse us for the costs to fix it.

I received recall notice approximately june 26, 2015. called blue water chrysler in port huron, mi. to order parts on june 29, 2015. still no parts available, was told on sept. 1, 2015 there were 7 people ahead of me to get it done. was told on sept. 29, 2015, there were still 5 people ahead of me to get the recall done. they tell me parts are not available. this seems like a long time to wait to take care of a recall of a problem that could potentially shut down the car while driving. i don't know if i keep getting pushed back because i bought the car used somewhere else and not from this dealer or there is another issue. three months is a long time to wait for a fix that only takes about 1 hour. thank-you!

I was pulling up to an intersection, about to make a left turn when the vehicle shut off and i wasn't able to steer the vehicle. i put it in park, turned the vehicle off and then restarted it and it was fine. it never did that again, then a little over a month later while i was driving it out of state all the warning lights kept coming on and off. when i took it to the dealership they replaced the ignitions switch which was a recalled part that we were waiting to come in. they said they didn't see any of the issues i was experiencing when they test drove the van. as i was leaving the dealership all the warning lights started flashing and the windshield wipers wouldn't work. i returned the van to the dealership and now they stated the problem is the tipm.

I have been calling about getting the ignition repaired and fob's replaced for almost 4 months. i keep being told that i am on the list to have it fixed. i have not been told where i am on the list or given anytime frame. i have been told that the dealer ship is only getting one or two kits at a time. it has not gone into the off position yet, but the fob is broken due to the first recall for this problem.
