Front brake failure excessive wear brake pads- about two weeks from acceptable pads to nothing metal on metal caused by hub bearing failure - allows the wheel to move horizontally on the axle shaft. there was no indication of bearing failure prior to brake pad wear failure of the hub bearings could be the reason for many of the brake pad wear problems on these vehicles had to replace the rear bearing hubs 6 months after purchasing the vehicle in 2005- replaced left and right front bearing hub assemblies, rotors, and brake pads also abs failure - sensors are controlled by the computer module which is prone to failure - controls all the electrical systems of the vehicle. so replacing individual wheel sensors does not fix the problem - only replacing the faulty computer control module will eliminate the problem until it fails again. *tr
