A few weeks ago we had a car accident, it was a front impact between 40 and 45 mph, the vehicle was a total loss but the airbag system didn't deploy with the impact.
While driving at cruising speed on the highway, the front passenger "active head restraint" deployed for no reason. no impact, no large bump or pothole...just random. it hit my wife in the head/neck.
Tl* the contact owns a 2016 dodge durango. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags); however, the part for the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the contact stated that the air bag warning light illuminated. the approximate failure mileage was 58,000. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
