Takata recall called multiple times to dealership to have this taken care of and it never happens. always told they are out of airbags. then receive another card in the mail saying there are in. call and they don't have any. sick of this same thing time after time.
The vehicle will shut off without any warning. no warning lights or anything, the vehicle just stalls in the middle of traffic, brakes or power steering doesn't work when vehicle shuts down. this can cause a very serious accident or death to myself and others around me. help! this happened several times and when i take it to the shop they can't find anything wrong with because no error codes come up.
Takata recall was placed may 2016, i had bought the vehicle in feb 2016. october 24, 2017 is when i received the post card in the mail notifying me that my vehicle is included in this recall. i have been driving this car w/o knowledge of this and when i contacted the dealership i was placed on a wait list for repair. i was told the wait is due to the parts not getting to the dealership in time. i think the entire process of notifying consumers of potential dangers is shameful! a post card? seriously?! it's just my life and those that sit up front with me. no worries....
Takata recall. i recently had the second recall done on my truck and was told that they could not get the air bag light to go out. from what the service tech told me is that it is happening to alot of the cars that come in for this recall. this causes me a huge issue as now i am without a vehicle because i cannot get a passing inspection sticker.

Takata recall. no parts ever available and airbag light is on. what if someone dies because of this and it could have been prevented? this recall started well over a year ago and still no parts for this major safety issue. many people have died because of this. manufacturers should be held to some standard when a safety issue of this magnitude is found, and a very tight schedule for repair be maintained. if anything happens to me or my family because of this issue, i won't stop until i own chrysler/fiat as well as making sure nhtsa is found guilty of negligence for allowing this to go on as long as it has.
