As i was driving home, all of the dash warning/service lights came on. at the same time, my turn signals, brake lights, windshield wipers, hazard lights, and all gauges malfunctioned. i believe this to be an issue with the "front control module".

Low beam headlights will not work properly. headlights will act as daytime running lights, even at night. if the automatic lights are selected, only the driver's side low beam headlight works.

Interior lights won't go off. smell burning wires inside the vehicle.

When filling the gas tank, a large amount of fuel always shoots out of the filler neck and spills onto vehicle, ground, and objects around vehicle. also the vehicle does not come with tpms, however the tpms warning light on the instrument panel stays on all the time. also if the rear lift gate is opened the cargo light indicator on the instrument panel stays on until you open and close the lift gate a total of two times.

Beginning friday, january 31, 2014 in the evening the dome lights of my durango would not turn off after the normal delay. we tried several things to shut them off but they stayed on. the car started fine saturday, february 1, 2014 in the morning and i took it to run errands. i noticed again though the lights stayed on. that evening we parked the car as normal in the garage. at about 3:30 am sunday, february 2, 2014 we were awakened by smoke in the house. we found the heaviest smoke in the room connected to the garage. we got our children and pets out of the house and called the fire department. when they arrived the durango was on fire. the entire interior burned. there was substantial damage to our garage and some damage to the interior adjoining room. the fire inspector told us that the fire originated in the interior headlining of the durango. starting at the front by the windshield and then moving to the back of the vehicle. the fire department put the fire out and the vehicle was towed to a body shop. *tr

When actuating the left turn signal, the right turn signal comes on. problem occurs for a short time (a day) and then disappears. problem appears intermittently. if you are watching traffic, you will not even notice the problem and that you are signalling the wrong direction. *tr

I was riding down the road and my lighting system on my car begin to dim and the my speedometer begin to drop down and the car begin to slow down loss power to the car the car shut off. i was so scare at this point. i do not want to drive my 2005 dodge durango please help me with this matter. *tr

The multi function switch in the steering column fails and causes the wrong turn indicator lights (both on the dash and on the exterior) to activate. for example, when pushing down on the stalk to indicate a left turn the right turn lights are activated. so, if you are in a left turn lane and you try to indicate that you are turning left the right indicator lights will activate and confuse the other drivers and could cause a very dangerous situation. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2005 dodge durango. the contact was driving approximately 5 mph and attempting a turn. when the left turn signal was engaged, the right turn light flashed as opposed to the left. the contact stated that when shifting the steering column up or down, it would correct the failure. the failure was initially occurred sporadically but progressed into a frequent failure. the vehicle was neither diagnosed nor repaired for the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 60,750 and the current mileage was 60,846.

Tl*the contact owns a 2005 dodge durango. the contact stated that the turn signals on both sides of the vehicle have failed. the failure began two days ago, but now they have stopped working completely. she called the dealer to inquire about having her vehicle repaired and was informed that she was customer number 681. they further stated that they did not know when the parts will be available to repair the turn signals. the failure mileage was 37,000.

I bought a 2005 dodge durango in june 2005. the first 9000 miles were great. no problems. in october 2005 the headlights/fog lights started to go on and off by themselves. the dealership moved the inspections sticker. did not resolve the problem. they then replaced the sensors and switched, did not correct the problem, they then replaced the circuit board, did not correct. they then had a tech from the factory look at the vehicle. they replaced the module. i picked up the car yesterday and on my way home from the dealer the lights went on and off again. i have sent the lemon law card to chrysler. i contacted chrysler again today about this issue. they basically have stated that it is up to the district manager to resolve this problem. i am waiting once again for him to call me back. the horn also blows by itself (this has happened twice), the radio has turned itself on and off by itself twice, the passenger side airbag light has came on when it should not and the drivers side airbag showed that it had deployed when in fact it did not. the outside temperature gauge on the overhead console did not work correctly (only one time.) i feel that i have been more then patient with these recurring problems. they have put a co-pilot on the car to no avail.*jb
