Tl* the contact owns a 2002 dodge durango equipped with goodyear tracker 2 tires, size: p235/70/r16 (na). while driving 60 mph, the rear passenger tire blew out. the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that all four tires were corroded. the two rear tires were replaced. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate vehicle failure mileage was 180,000 and the tire failure mileage was 17,000.

Was driving at low rate of speed and the spare tire fell from under durango the cable that holds it in place just broke. had i been on busy highway at 55 to 65 mph people could have been killed. there should be some kind of safety holding tire besides just the little cable. *tr

Have had numerous tread breakages, the tire tread is fine, dealer stated all tires are dry rotted. *jb

We were driving approx. 70mph on interstate 20 in georgia near greensboro exit. the tread separated from our left rear tire and sent us out of control on the interstate highway. this was at 5:30 p.m. on friday august 19, 2005 in busy traffic.we were headed across the median when my husband jerked the wheel to the right and we hit the guard rail on the right side of the highway. we bounced back into traffic and he swerved again to the right and we hit the guard rail again and came to a stop. this is the most horrific experience of our lives. my 11 year old has whiplash and bad headaches. i have knee problems and all of us have emotional trauma issues. please look into this very closely. i noticed other complaints here in this website. they are p245/75r16 long trail ta.

While driving 65 mph, the front of the vehicle became unstable. the consumer got out of the vehicle and discovered that the outside wall of the passenger side front tire was noticeably warned. the owner contacted the manufacturer who instructed the owner to have the vehicle towed to the nearest dodge dealer. the dealer refused to tow the vehicle to the dealership and would not render any further assistance. provide further details. *jb

I'm driving a 2002 dodge durango. my car pulled to the right, i got a tire rotation and now it's pulling to the left. i saw in the news that there is a problem with the front upper joint ball, so that could have something to do with my problem. the tires are fine.*ak

2003 darango has been taken to jim's dodge to have a problem fixed when you drive. they tell us that there is nothing wrong with it. while you drive the darango if you hit a dump it jumps to one side or the other it does not stay center. the transmission feels like it slips, or when it is started it like the vehicle just does not want to go. jim'[s dodge has told us that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle, but that seems to all we have had with this vehicle. one more thing jim's dodge is not a very clean place to take your vehicle to have it worked on we have got the vehicle back with oil on the in side on the vehicle, on the paint, scratchs in the paint and on the bumper. the vehicle has come back with a very bad smell in it. it took us a long time to get the smell out. we called jim's dodge and told them about the smell and they told us that there was nothing tha they could do about it. the date might not be exact be close.*ak

I had a goodyear wranglet tire failure at highway speed. without notice the tread separated from the sidewall causing an out of control condition. luckily, i was able to get the 2002 dodge durango stopped safely. i was shocked to see the tread totally separate from the sidewall (3 total pcs 1 ea sidewalls and 1 tread). i went to goodyear they said i picked up a nail or something causing a flat. i'm sorry but i have had flats in the past. when you pick up something and get a flat you loose air pressure and are able to slow down and fix tire, not explode. i filed a complaint with the ohio atty. general who passed it to the better business bureau. they said they are just a middle man without power to resolve. at this point i want to file a complaint against goodyear tire. i would like 4 different tires i would also be willing to pay for used portion of tires ( just what is used not 75% goodyear std). when the tire exploded it also caused some minor damage i would like fixed. i do have the tire in my possession and i am able to supply anything you might need. i.e. tire, pictures. *la
