The vehicle has an unusual amount of rust on the door panels and bottom chase. i've had to replace the muffler due to rust and you can visibly see near the door panels a hole is forming due to damages from rust/corrosion. the vehicle is typically kept indoors and should not be experiencing these kinds of damages.

Individual was trying to close the rear door of the van by pulling it down. the door suddenly stopped and snapped back and upward forcefully, hitting the individual, breaking a tooth and lip open. *tr

The airbag light turns on at the beginning when a child or a light load is in the passenger's seat. it then turns off once i start going. i don't know if that means that it is on or off and am concerned. secondly, i recently had to repair the runner on the drivers side back sliding door. the wire that went through the middle of it was in jeopardy of getting damaged if i didn't. i had to pay $350 to get this repaired. it looks like i'll have to be repairing the passenger's side in the future as it is showing signs of deterioration. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 dodge caravan. the contact stated that she activated the sliding doors and as the contact entered the vehicle, the sliding doors closed and crushed the contact between the door and the frame. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection where they informed that the failure was not able to be determined. the failure recurred several times later. the contact also stated that while driving 60 mph, the door opened independently. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified and wanted the contact to take the vehicle to an authorized dealer to be inspected. the failure mileage was 65,000.

2007 dodge caravan rear hatch problem. this problem first occurred in july of 2007 and is becoming worse. the rear hatch door seems to be effected by temperature. when it is hot the hatch will not open with the use of the electronic key fob or buttons located in the headliner above the driver. when it is cold the hatch will open appear to come to a stop in the open position and then on its own will close. it does not sense when a person or object is in the way and will continue to close. it will also close and reopen when you attempt to close the hatch electronically. all 3 of these conditions are when you are using the key fob or buttons located in the headliner above the driver. the car has been to the dealership 7 times and they have not been able to reproduce the problem or fix the problem. on 2 occasions they have cleared an error code in the computer but this has not fixed the problem. we have a friend who has a 2005 with the same problem. unfortunately they have not attempted to have this problem fixed. *tr
