I bought a 2007 dodge caravan, the drivers side window switch seems to be burning out not allowing me to roll the window down on the electric switch and when it does, has a hard time trying to go back up. then my drivers side passenger van door has a button on top in the front that you can hit it and its suppose to open that side of the van door, the van door also doesn't open from the inside it has to be opened on the outside posing a dangerous issue. but the other switch opens the passenger side van door fine. my 3rd row seats don't want to stay up , they want to lay down posing safety hazards. my bearings or something sound bad, and my passenger side door has to be opened on the inside and wo'nt open on the outside.

On the way home from a nice vacation (until this happened)with son and grandkids we were getting back onto the highway (thank god it happen before entering highway the right front axle fell apart caused a fire as well. there was no warning at all. a lady that saw this happened was blowing horn to make us stop. i saw the smoke we pulled over got the kids out called 911. a man from the hotel grabbed fire extinguisher and put the fire out. van had to be towed. it cost me 400.00 for the repair and had to stay in a hotel for 2 more nights. my son had to get a rental car to drive home to get back to work. the garage said he's never saw this happen. i read this has happened on a 2006 dodge caravan as well. is this a common problem with the dodge 06 and 07 caravans? has there been any recalls about this or are they waiting until someone gets killed!!!!!!!!! thank god we were not yet back on the highway. *tr

I was about to take my vehicle out of town and had my oil changed on march 10, 2010. my husband said he would change the oil at dodge dealership and at the same time, check why the steering wheel was shaking. the write-up tech or adviser told him without looking, that the cause was due to the tire. since the dealership was closing and we have warranty on our tires from sears, he headed there for service instead. after the technician from sears couldn't figure out why the tires were causing the shakiness, my husband wanted the tires balance to see if the shakiness will stop. during that procedure, the technician came to found that the tie rods on both side (inner and outer) were damaged. this was causing the front steering wheel to shake. the tires may go in different directions. this is on a 2007 dodge grand caravan model. we are getting sears automotive to order the new part and replace the old ones. we also talked to other people who has the same vehicle, and they have the same problem. therefore, we want to report this to you. *tr
