Problems with 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser EQUIPMENT

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrylser pt cruiser. the contact stated that the air conditionaer would not blow cold air. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the contact was informed that the evapurator was leaking and needed to be replaced. the mechanic notified an authorized dealer and was informed that all of the parts were on back order. the manufacturer was then notified and the contact was informed that all vehicles under 70,000 miles would be covered, under warranty, for the repairs. after informing the manufacturer of the mileage, they denied to cover the repairs under the warranty. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 50,000. joann graham. updated 09/07/2011 *ln

I was driving my 2006 pt cruiser and a girl driving a grand cherokee jeep ran a stop sign and hit me in the driver side front fender and driver door. my three children were in the car with me. the impact flipped my car 3 or more times landing us on the drivers side. neither of airbags deployed from the impact. i was driving at approximately 45 mph and she was coming down a hill to the stop sign but showed no sign of slowing down. her speed was probably around 50 mph. the point of contact was at the drivers door and fender and it was crushed. the car was a total loss. i have a neck injury from the whiplash and the flipping of the car and not sure at this point if it will ever get better. it has been 7 mths. i believe chrysler should be made liable for the airbags not deploying with such an impact as we had. *tr

I have 2006 pt cruiser and i am having tons of electrical problems sometimes the stereo will not work.brake light stays on and run the battery down. if you have the dome light one and put your blinker on to the right the light goes out doesn't do it on the left, the ignition switch sometimes hangs up and will not turn stuck for a little before i can get it to turn over and start, then the ac spouse had to rewire it because the compressor wasn't kicking on and off, i have always owned a chrysler and after this experience if chrysler is not will to help repair the vehicle i would not own another, my husband is out of work and i cant afford to repair all the issues this car has..... this could be a fire hazard waiting to happen. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 chrysler pt cruiser. the vehicle has goodyear eagle tires, size p/205/55/r16 with schrader valve stems, model tr413(na). while checking the air in the tires ,the valve stem on the front driver's side tire failed halfway in the threaded area, which caused the tire to blow. within the valve stem, the contact noticed green corrosion on each tire where the stem was located. the vehicle was towed to a local repair shop and the mechanic stated that the valve stem failed and caused the tire to blow. the valve stem has been replaced. the contact called the manufacturer and they stated that there were no recalls on the tire stem; therefore, he would not be reimbursed for the repairs. the failure and current mileages were 14,272.

I have had this 2006 pt cruiser for over a year and a half. within that year and a half, i have now had to replace the tires, brakes. the air conditioner just went out. this car has been horrible. i can't blow the horn without pounding it. the lamp assemblies hold moisture, the thing drinks gas and right now with gas prices this is a problem. yet, nobody wants me to trade it because it isn't worth a penny because nobody wants them. they need to recall the fact they lied on the stickers about gas mileage. i may get 17 miles per gallon. horrible car. i hope people stop buying them until they fix the problems they already have. *tr

The speedodometer dropped to zero. comes and goes and the dealer can not get a reading because it does not do it when they check it. next the ac kicks in and out of cool air. next while driving down the road the car dies. i had to put it in neutral and manually turn because it died. i nearly hit a cement wall. now the dealer says he can not find anything wrong. *jb
