Engine light on/225+k miles, car mechanically sound, code p0601, runs good. bought in 2003 off daewoo lot. used. with 12+k miles. changed: valve cover,3 pcv's,egr tube,intake. normally change synthic oil sae 5/30 oil every 14k miles. with two oil filter changes every 7k miles., spark plugs every 6mos,with wires. mechanic takes off light, goes back on after the engine is turned back on. *tr
2001 pt cruiser. horn and radio display light intermittent . when the radio display light goes out so does the horn. *tr
My led light on the radio and the horn both cease to work at the same time. we have replaced fuses, lights and radios. still no working horn. *tr
Cd player read error 1 month after the warranty was up, dealer said it was dead and it would cost $300 to replace combination stereo/cd. excuse me but a cd player should last longer than 3 years. an american motor dealers wonder why we do not want to buy their products. *jb
Brakes: noticed squealing and lots of brake dust (6/04). had to replace pads and rotors. after repair, passenger front brake still squeeled. took back, rotor replaced again. my front right break still squeels and both front brakes are shooting off much break dust. this is very frustrating. i would think after a month the semi-metalic breaks would have been broken in by now.*ak
2001 chrysler pt cruiser - engine compartment fuel line abraded in two by a/c valve cap. *nlm
Vehicle was parked for approx. two days, started vehichle and all lights on the instrument panel stayed on; brake light, abs light, engine light, security light, crusie control, etc. as well as words "no bug" over the odemeter/mileage gage. these lghts would not go off after turning the engine on and off several times. the engine light stays on and will not shut off. scheduled an appointment with dealer to connect to computer. *ak
The jack failed while the car was up on it. while changing a tire, the supplied scissors jack twisted and bent allowing the car to fall. the part # is 05008275aa 17763. the weight of the car bent both the jack frame and the adjustment screw. mr
Air conditioner is blowing out strong fumes ,making it hard for consumer to drive. dealer notified.*ak
The air bag light illuminated on the dash board. the air bag swtich has been changed several times but the problem remained. *nlm the code on the left side seat squib open was found, which was taken apart and reinstalled. the stereo was defective. scc
5 batteries, radio, speakers, door locks, paint, speed sensor on transmission, fan motor on engine, output speed sensor, t14 circuit all within 27 months. can't find cause of all these electrical problems. chrysler is no help! customer care hung up on me. lemon law ran out 1 month ago. upside down can't even trade in. help!!!!!
