Recently reported UNKNOWN OR OTHER problems on 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Many other drivers complaining about same issue: 1. driving at low speed (10mph or less) transmission does a hard shift as if it was trying to engage 2nd or 3rd shift. car does a huge bump when the shift is engaged. 2. at high speed (65mph ~) is possible to hear a rattling noise coming from left side panel / drivers side. this is very concerning for us. already have dealer check the vehicle but they always say they could not reproduce the issue. this is happening since the very first recall for this car. before the first recall, no issue.

While vehicle is both stationary and moving the shift selector or dial turns off. you cannot see what gear you are in when this happens. the vehicle has turned off while in motion! the tie rods on this vehicle broke at less than 20k miles. the vehicle has had multiple recalls which have been fixed but continues to have intermittent electrical issues. all of these have been reported to chrysler.

Transmission issues are out of control!!! vehicle looses power at low speed then lurches into gear thrusting forward at an alarming rate. this has put us in danger several times. chrysler fails to acknowledge the issue saying they can't recreate the event. on christmas eve the transmission gave out completely going through a light on the highway and lights came on and were flashing. towed it to the shop where they told us it needed 'reflashed' basically recalibrated and that every pacifica would need this update in order to continue driving. they also charged us $150 to do this mandatory update. sounds as if that should be considered a recall. i'm not happy to announce the vehicle is back to the same issues and i know it's only a matter of time before it happens again. we have also have to replace all spark plugs and all ignition coils as because the vehicle just breaks downs suddenly cause lights to come in and be flashing while shaking and not shifting correctly. it seems related to the transmission issues but we will never truly know as we are lied to so often when it's in the shop. chrysler cares is no ...

Automatic engine shutoff system shuts off vehicle on hills causing a rollback issue, safety problem. it also shuts off during heavy traffic heating up vehicle considerably. so far two different service departments cannot find any issues. 3 batteries have been replaced in 2 years time. transmission pops in and out of gear between 2nd and 3rd during city driving. no spare tire!! patch kit, good luck using it if you have a flat.

Navigation system locked up in traffic and caused a distraction contacted fiat chrysler uconnect was told that a update was needed and neither they or dealer could affect the update tthe specialist at uconnect was kym phone 8008266632 ext 3024871 case 68253619

The vehicle stalls when stopping on city street.

We have had to replace all spark plugs and all ignition coils as because the vehicle just breaks downs suddenly cause lights to come on and be flashing while shaking very violently and not shifting correctly. this is usually following the issues we have with the transmission stalling and hard shifting forward more often than usual. it is underivable in this condition and requires a tow to the shop. we are told this is normal maintenance but starting at 6,000 miles hardly seems normal. spark plugs shouldn't even need replaced until at least 100,000 miles let alone any sort of coil.

When driving an turning makes clanking noise under car, car get stuck in cars an then jerks when changes, been telling chrysler dealer where i get my repairs an tune ups i'm told it all part of the electrical system been telling them this since i got the car new 2017

The start/stop icon appeared on the dash and alerted that the system is not working. it was taken into dealership where they said the auxiliary battery was dead. auxiliary battery was replaced but light did not go off. taken back into dealership and was told that it takes time for it to charge and alert should go off after driving. alert did not go off and was taken back to dealership where they said that the battery system is not charging. had to reschedule another diagnostic appointment for next week as they did not have time to fix it. none of this covered under warranty as 2017 pacifica has 45,000 miles. also alerted the dealership about the 'hard stop' jerking that occurs at shift change around 15-20 mph intermittently. they said that this could not be investigated due to the auxiliary battery not functioning.

Since purchasing our pacifica, we have had nothing but issues that seem to not be getting resolved with chrysler besides continuously in the shop. we purchased the vehicle brand new so we would not have the hassle of an unreliable vehicle. the vehicle has left us stranded with less than 30,000 miles on it. while driving down the interstate, the back hatch came open. after pulling over to fix this, as i had kids in the car, the vehicle kept opening. the dealership explained that there was a recall and fixed the issue.chrysler was very difficult to work with through the first issue. the case manager said that i was exaggerated over the issues.we then had the automatic start/stop go out, this caused our display screen to freeze up as well to where we could not use our controls. at this time we again begin experiencing issues with the back hatch again. upon contacting chrysler a new case number was given and we were once again sent to the dealership. shortly after being in the shop, i dropped my child off at soccer practice. when i returned to my vehicle the whole system shut down and doors opened and would ...

After several stops for shopping the van would crank over but not start, repeatedly. after 15 minutes of trying and a 5 minute cooldown the van started.

Driving vehicle and it just turns off. i am 80 and it turned off in traffic circle. it has happened twice and is exactly described in june recall. vehicle has no open recalls and has happened twice in last week.

I was hit head-on by a driver travelling in the opposite lane who went over a median on a 45 mph city street. i had a split second to start braking but the other driver did not even attempt to stop. none of the airbags in the van deployed. i was injured and the van had extensive front end damage.

The car simplywont start. check engine light turned on, service abs, service esc, parking brake unavailable, power steering unavailable. the power doors dont work. shifter is lockedand the auto park brake was locked. the car wont even shift to neutral so it can be towed.

My 22 month old went out the front door while at a family party. he went to our parked car, pushed the button on the chrysler handle, went to the front seat, locked the car, and turn the car in the acc position which blew out hot air. the car was able to turn on because the keys were left in the car. he tried climbing in the back to push the button to open the door again but because the car was locked it wouldn't open. all he had to do to get in the car was push a button but once the car was locked it was impossible for him to figure out how to get out. having such an easy way for a van door to slide open is a huge safety hazard for small children. i have a video of how easy it was for him to get into the car as well.
