Problems with 2006 Chrysler Pacifica ENGINE

On average, the 2006 Chrysler Pacifica starts to “feel” problems with the ENGINE and its various aspects after 111 454 miles.

Recently reported ENGINE problems on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica

I have failed motor mounts and was told i should make a report as it is such a common issue that a recall should be issued.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrysler pacifica. while driving various speeds, the vehicle stalled, lost power, and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. when the vehicle was turned off and restarted, it resumed normal operation. the vehicle was taken to a repair shop, but was not diagnosed or repaired. the failure recurred multiple times. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the crankshaft sensors needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. the contact stated that the crankshaft sensors were replaced two times. the contact referenced nhtsa campaign number: 06v432000 (power train). the manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 200,000.

The engine cradle is completely rusted through and motor mounts as well.i took into a shop,he refused to fix my idle pulley and told us it's unsafe to drive our 2006 chrysler pacifica.

Engine cradle mount (severly rusted through). it is so bad, i can no longer safely drive this car.

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrysler pacifica. while the vehicle was undergoing state inspection, the contact was informed that the engine cradle was severely corroded. the contact was concerned that the engine could separate from the subframe due to the severe corrosion. the vehicle was not repaired. a dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was notified. the approximate failure mileage was 100,005. *bf*jb

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrysler pacifica. while driving 65 mph, the contact experienced sudden engine failure without warning. the vehicle was towed to the contact's home. the manufacturer was notified of the failure and was informed that she should have the vehicle towed to a chrysler dealer. fred martin superstore (3195 barber rd, barberton, oh 44203, (330) 753-4444) diagnosed that the engine rod bearing was defective. the contact associated the failure with nhtsa campaign number: 06v432000 (power train). the contact called the manufacturer back and was informed that the remedy for the recall had already been performed on the vehicle. they also informed the contact that because they found no defect with the vehicle, the recall repair was never performed. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 107,000.

I have been told that my engine cradle is rusted beyond repair and will need replacing. chrysler recalled 2004-2005 in rust belt areas to replace engine cradle. this issue affects 2004-2008 which my car is a part of. this rust issue could cause the motor to fall out from the engine cradle and cause serious safety risk

Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrysler pacifica. an independent mechanic noticed that there was extensive rust and corrosion to the point that the engine cradle could fracture. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a dealer. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 94,000.

The front subframe is rusted threw with a fist size whole .. now i have to pay labor and buy piece chrysler refuses to help knowning the issue they cause could hurt my family an kids driving in this truck is unfar

Car engine sometimes shuts off when doing left hand turns, the engine looses complete power when this happens. i have to shift the car into park to turn it back on. there are evap codes on but the check engine does not turn on for these codes, smell of un-burnt fuel sometimes makes it in the cabin. thankfully the stall has not happened with cars coming towards me. the gas cap warning on continuously even though i have purchased many new oem gas caps. this may be related to: nhtsa campaign number: 04v113000, 06v432000, nhtsa action number: ea06013, i informed chrysler but they said my vin is not in the current recalls and was referred to contact nhtsa. my pacifica has also developed a ticking noise that has reduced the gas mileage and engine power which i believe this to be part of an internal recall which again chrysler says my vehicle is not part of even though my vin matches the specifications below: customer satisfaction notification f35 engine connecting rod bearing debris effective immediately, all repairs on involved vehicles are to be performed according to this notification. rapid response transmittal rrt ...

The car stalls while in motion on an incline, making a left or right turns up an incline, and making u-turns on flat surface. the engine would just die, then i would have to put it in park and it would restart. this happened in city streets in speeds under 25mph. this has happened over a dozen times, 3 times this month. mechanic cannot fix the problem.

Took vehicle in for exhaust repair. when hoisted up the mechanic informed me of engine cradle rot. he said the drip hose is dripping onto the engine cradle. called chrysler custome assistance, they sent me to roseville chrysler in roseville, mi for inspection, under case #32879012. service advisor bryan collins told me the same thing engine cradle rot due to drip hose dripping on engine cradle. chrysler customer assistance said no recall on vehilcle and it is out of warrenty. my responsibility for repair. i explained that it was an enginering design error and the drip hose should have been long enough to route it past the engine cradle.

Wgen i put the gas pedal no runing like aspec and tge crudle is rust
