After starting my car before work in the morning, the drivers steering column/dash area burst into flames that were bright blue/white in color and unable to extinguish. the fire department report stated an electrical fire in the drivers dash area or steering column. this fire engulfed my entire car very quickly, and nearly burnt down my house! the car was in my driveway about 6 feet from my home. as it was burning, i heard the engine keep restarting itself as if something was going on with the ignition cylinder or system. it was stationary. please help!

My molding and striping around all four of my doors have shrunk. i took it in once with a complaint of noice around the windows. i was thinking there was a problem with my window. they replaced the molding around the drivers door and said that was all they could do. i did not noticed that all my doors were doing the samething until three months after my warrenty was up and my extended warrenty didn't cover it. my miles were still under 36,000 at the time. i have another friend that i work with that said she had the same thing happen to her 300m. i was told at one of the dealers that this is a big problem with these cars. could someone please help me with this problem? i'm a single parent and do not have the 1, 000's to fix something that should be covered. thank you.
