I bought a set of yokohama tires for my 1999 chrysler 300m in july 2006. we have several problems with these tires not holding air. finally, now, the right front tire blew 2 half dollar size holes in the sidewall of the tire for no apparent reason. we were able to keep the vehicle on the road as to not cause further damage. we have taken the vehicle to tires plus for the previous problems as well as this blowout. we will obviously be replacing all four tires and will not be buying this brand again. *jb

On 04/26/06, while at a sams club store, i noticed a large bulge in the sidewall of one of the two goodyear eagle ls 225/55r17bw tires that i purchased from walmart and had installed by walmart on 03/28/06. the tire was determined by a tire associate at the sams club store to be unsafe to drive on, so he removed the wheel and replaced it with the spare. i am taking the tire back to walmart on 04/27/06 to get a credit to be applied toward the purchase of a replacement tire. *nm

I have a 1999 chrysler 300m. on july 23, 2005 i was informed by the local chrysler dealership that the rack & pinion was badly rusted, and that one of the rods was completely broken! this car only had 62,000 at the time and was not used a a commuting car, and was treated very well. simply put, this should not have happened, given the age of the car and it's use. in addition, the service manager that i dealt with said that they had seen several 300m's come in with the exact same problem. i do not live in a climate where we get snow, thus no salt on the roads, and i am not near the ocean. based on this, as well as discussions with the dealership, it appears that this is a defect, one that cost me $2300, conveniently 1 month after my warranty expired. also, according to the dealership, the rusting occurred over a long period of time and would have affected tire ware. this explains why i went through 4 tires in the past year. luckily, this problem didn't cause me to get into an accident, but this potentially could end up being life threatening for someone else!

Dt: contact stated wheel rim peeled and caused the air to come out of tires. two out of four tires were flat in the morning. they rotated them, and eventually all four tires became flat. she talked to the chrysler dealership, and they told her that the beads in the tire rusted and popped loose. this caused the tires to lose air. the manufacturer said there was nothing they could do about it. noticed this problem one year ago.*ak

The original set of tires was losing air slowly. independent shop replaced the entire set. consumer noticed the same problem with the new tires as with the original tires. vehicle was taken back to the independent shop, and technician determined that inside metal on all four tires separated, as result, will never keep the air properly. *ak

The tires developed cracks, causing loss of air pressure while driving. *ak

I have replaced 7 goodyear tires on my 1999 300m as well as one chrome rim (several serious blowouts). the driver & passenger window motors required replacement. have mysterious 2 inch dashboard crack near passenger side airbag. replaced sensors (crank case?). chafing wires cause unexpected stalls & failures. local dealer trying to diagnose current problem-car stalls after shift into drive. afraid to keep a car with only 42,000 miles. love the look & room of the car but may be too dangerous to risk stalling on a highway at 65mph or missing an interview. *ak

Initially in may 2002, i had to replace a rim on my 1999 chrysler 300m because it had cracked due to corrosion (this is what i was told by the technician who discovered it). now, in 2003, three of the four tires are leaking air to the point where they need to be refilled every week or two. when contacting the service center where i had the work done, they advised me that the 300m & town & country mini-vans seem to be experiencing the same type of problems as i'm describing. *ak

Dt: caller said the alloy wheels oxidized and lost air in the tires. all 4 wheels were doing it. this has been going on for 3 years. consumer was putting air in tires, cleaned them, and by night all the tires were flat. dealer said there was nothing they could do.manufacturer has not been contacted yet. *ak

Consumer had found a bubble on left rear tire. previously had experienced two blowouts without prior warning. had asked the place where he bought tires, but they could not indicate why it had been happening.*ak *jb

Tires are worn excessively, all 4 tires affected. tires according to goodyear should last between 20000 and 40000 miles.*ak goodyear eagle tires, dot nk43bmdr199, 17 inch tires, consumer states spare tire is also worn. goodyear states that tires are not the problem, vehicle has vibration and pulls to the left, could be suspension or tire related. engine failed due to pistons too close together, consumer states ever since vehicle has been repaired, it does not run normal now. rotors were replaced, brakes resurfaced. *slc

Goodyear eagle ls tires on 1999,chrysler 300m. at 18,000 miles, vehicle began experiencing vibration which was due to tread separation on front right tire. then, at 22,000 miles, there was a bulge forming on sidewall of front left tire that was approximately 2-3" in diameter. tire size is p225/55r17. *ak while the consumer was driving at 65 mph the third tire on rear right blew out sidewall at 29,000 miles. *yh

Consumer is experiencing unregular locking and vibration. rocking at 20 and 70 mph coming from front of the vehicle. took to dealer, and they said it was a problem with the two front goodyear eagle tires. *ak

Goodyear tires experienced tread separation and one tire was out of round, consumer wants reimbursement. *slc

Tires wore out prematurely. original set was replaced at 7000 miles. second set was replaced at 27000 miles. currently at 31000 miles tires need replacement again. tread was wearing unevenly and more than it should. please add model of tires and size.*ak

Vehicle experiencing an irregular rocking/vibration from front end while traveling from 18-72 mph. vehicle has been in/out of dealer's shop on five occasions, and problem still occurring. *ak dealer says tire are bad. *yh

Consumer has replaced goodyear eagle ls tires p225/55r17 a total of 14 times due to shaking steering wheel, oval shaped tires, and bubbles, consumer states dealer did many alignments and tire rotations. *slc

Consumer has a chrysler vehicle. 2 original front tires were replaced because they wobbled/vibrated & pulled to right. every 3,000 miles outsides wore out, 7 had to be replaced. they all showed signs differently. chrysler was aware of tires. originals had premature balding & hydroplained. size p225/55r17, dot#m600bmwr3400. *ak wear of tires could be related to a suspension problem, tires are goodyear eagle. *slc
