Brakes applied with out the application from the driver then released .this occurred two times driving at 50 mph. the car was then parked. the defrost and heat came on and the antilock light illuminated both times. *tr

My chrysler 300m loses its power brakes when its cold. the power booster seems to be the problem only when its cold. *jb

My chrysler 300m loses its power brakes whenever it is cold and it seems damp out side. the power brake booster seems to be the problem. when the car warms up it works good enough to drive but the brakes are still sluggish. after driving the car for 15 min to half hour the brake booster seems to start working ok. it has done this since i bought the car. i have no braking when the car is cold sometimes! and a loud sucking sound comes out of the brake booster when its hanging up. *jb

The consumer was coming out of a parking garage and when the brakes were applied, the pedal would not move. the vehicle continued out into traffic. owner contacted the manufacturer and the dealer and was told that they would have to check the vehicle before they can determine the cause. provide further details. *jb

While backing out of the driveway the brakes failed without warning. as a result the vehicle collided into a tree. the dealer states the brake booster had malfunctioned. no injuries reported. please provide additional information. *nm

While braking at 65 mph with the foot depressing the brake pedal to the floor vehicle accelerated to 90 mph. consumer managed to decelerate the vehicle, and pulled over. dealership was notified, but did not resolve the problem. *ak

Complete brake failure due to a mechanical break down of the vacum assist unit. similar to below previous complaint in 2002. what bothers me is that the part is on back order and seems to be in great demand across the country. when it goes - you have no brakes! luckily i was in a parking lot at work and no accident occured. results : 1 | all records displayed make : chrysler model : 300m year : 1999 crash : no fire : no number of injuries: 0 odi id number : 10000136 date of failure: december 8, 2002 component: service brakes, hydraulic:power assist:vacuum

Consumer had to use excessive force with both feet in order to depress pedal and bring vehicle to a stop. ph

Brakes completely failed as a result of a mechanical breakdown of the vacuum assist/master cylinder system.

Electrical connectors to controller were severely corroded--"hidden defect"*ak

The vehicle exhibited a continuous problem with tyhe steering, on two occasions the vehcile was taken tot he dealer where they installed a new part, but within 6 months the problem reoccured, the vehcile was then taken to a different shop where they determined that there was a design problem and they replaced the frony link pin, currently the vehicle is working fine.

All brake pads front, rear & parking brake in process of de-laminating and dealer had to replace in order for car to pass inspection. steering rack in process of disintergrating.*ak

Tires are worn excessively, all 4 tires affected. tires according to goodyear should last between 20000 and 40000 miles.*ak goodyear eagle tires, dot nk43bmdr199, 17 inch tires, consumer states spare tire is also worn. goodyear states that tires are not the problem, vehicle has vibration and pulls to the left, could be suspension or tire related. engine failed due to pistons too close together, consumer states ever since vehicle has been repaired, it does not run normal now. rotors were replaced, brakes resurfaced. *slc

While vehicle was moving approximately 20 mph, consumer pressed brake pedal to stop, and pedal hit floor. vehicle did not stop, causing consumer to rear end vehicle in front of him.*ak the customer states brake failure was due to defect. *yh

Brake rotors malfunctioned, needed to changed, and caused extended stopping distance which may result in a crash. chrysler has had major problems with brake rotors with different model of vehicles. *ak the bad brake rotors also caused front wheels to shimmy. *yh

Vehicle was parked, and consumer started vehicle when it suddenly accelerated and crashed into a wall. applied brakes, but vehicle did not stop . please provide further information. *ak

Abs brake problem; when applying the brakes on dry surface, the abs system kicks in.turned the brakes off and driver could not stop vehicle. also, steering wheel locked up and driver could not turn left or right. two dealerships were not able to duplicate these problems. please provide any further information. *ak
