While driving to work my wife made a lane change on the freeway and as she cross the lane divide. the front passenger tire failed. the tire pressure deflated rapidly causing a dangerous situation at freeway speeds. she was able to pull over safely and discovered the cause of the failure was do to a slit in the sidewall. the rim was damaged and the tire could not be saved. *tr
