Vehicle was parked in garage. had been driven home at 11:30p.m. and woke up to fire in the garage at 1a.m. entire home and contents were lost. we had to jump from 2nd story windows to escape our home. fire department and fire marshals felt that fire began in the garage and found it undetermined, but told us that they felt strongly that it was the vehicle. we contacted our insurance company with info we found online that stated the braking problem was being recalled. they stated that they had no information to pursue. car was also a total loss. is there anything more we can do to find out why this recall #06v149000 was never sent to us? had we known we would have parked the vehicle away from our home!!!! and would have gladly taken it in for repair that was needed. I bought my car in august 2006 and in october 2006, i had engine lights problems from that date. i took it to the dealership that i bought it at and they would not do anything. this is my fifth complaint and i just had it repaired this year after several other things.it was still under warranty when i first contacted your office. i spoke with someone and they told me that it was covered and to take it i for repair then i had to pay for it myself. that's really sad when you purchase and rely on the company to uphold their warranty agreement. he quit on me on the highway after the the water seal popped and the dealership informed me that it should have never happened and i wrote to you about that and you did not reimburse me.

Vehicle after filling shuts off in traffic or where ever you are within moments and is very difficult to restart, issue has occurred multiple times in heavy flow traffic. initial time was making a legal u-turn after filing up and returning to traffic flow, vehicle completely shut down mid turn blocking all lanes of oncoming traffic, thank goodness to good defensive driving no collision occurred as did not make turn unsafely in front of on coming traffic. *tr
We purchased this auto showroom new from the dealer in 2006. although breaking was questionable, we accepted when told the system was fine and the jerking was normal. however, since april 2008 this vehicle has stalled off and on at the most unsafe times. the dealers have not been able to duplicate the problem so they will not repair it. we had a new factory engine installed ($7,000) in 2012 and guess what? this new engine has started stalling. all our work has been completed at a dealership so chrysler can't claim that an auto shop might have done something wrong to the vehicle. after viewing all the same complaints and having it happen to my wife and i, why haven't you or chrysler taken care of the problem? dokkkkkkkkkkkk *tr
Tl* the contact owns a 2006 chrysler 300. the contact stated that the gear shifter lever failed to operate unless the shifter cover was removed and the cable was loosened. when driving in cold weather temperatures, the transmission would cause the vehicle to jerk with hesitation. the contact referenced nhtsa campaign id numbers 05v460000 (power train:automatic transmission); however the vehicle was not included in the recall. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for repair. in addition, both engine fan motors failed to operate and one of the plastic fan motor blades caused a burning odor whenever driving. in addition, the fog light lens cover was melted. the contact replaced both fog light assemblies. the vehicle was repaired at an independent repair shop. the approximate failure mileage was 10,000. the vin was unavailable.
At any given speed there is a "loss of communication" as it is described by the mancari's of oak lawn dealership, where i purchased the vehicle, as well as have it serviced, between the transmission and the computer. this is apparently a huge problem with this make and model of this vehicle. as you can see on the website below. i have had the trans shifter replaced, as well as had the car "re-flashed" several times to no avail, and with no apparent solution in site. many attempts have been made at reaching chrslyer - the manufacturer as suggested, but they seem to have no interest in dealing with customers beyond the sale of the vehicle.i wonder how many fatalities will have to ensue before they do anything about what i am sure are known issues by now, concerning their vehicles. http://www.arfc.org/complaints/2006/chrysler/300c/engine_and_engine_cooling/problem.aspx. *tr
