I have a 2006 chrysler 300 touring and i have had several issues with this car. from the first week that i bought the car(2/10/2013) used with 71,000 miles this car has caused me problems. the first issues i experienced was a problem with the transmission. the car would act like it was searching for the correct gear by shifting up and down on its own even when i was not accelerating, this would happen whenever i would go over 40 miles per hour. the problem ended up being the throttle body inside my transmission. the next issue i experienced was a shifting in the front end whenever i went over a speed bump or pot hole in the road, i found out that the strut, ball joint, and the rocker arm had to be replaced on my front end. then the dials on my dash started to go crazy periodically for no reason at all, i have yet to figure out what this is but i assume it has something to do with the computer. i also experienced complete failure of my cooling system. i had to replace the drier, condenser, expansion valve, and one other part that i cannot remember. the total for this job was about 2,700 and the transmission work was 3,750 and the work on the front end was a total of about 800.00 not to mention the brakes i've replaced and the new set of tires i bought for the car and i have had this car for 1 year and 7 months. *tr

I have a 2006 chrysler 300. my car is stuck in park. i have done some research and this is a very common problem. its a cheap pieace of plastic that is causing the problem. i believe this has been reported before, but i want to add this one. *kb

When i started 2006 chrysler 300 and attempted to put in gear, the gear shifter would not work. the vehicle was stuck in park. i had to have vehicle towed to dealership and they had to replace the transmission shifter assembly. i had to pay for towing ($130.40), rental car($86.00), and to replace the shifter assembly($249.18)! the service rep said to keep receipt because this was a big problem with that particular model and this should be a recall repair. but not at that time. the car had 40,556 miles on it when this incedent happened.

Between multipoint vehicle inspections performed in 12/2008 and 11/2009), my vehicle developed a rear axle differential seal leak. with less than 59000 miles normal vehicle operation and less than three years of ownership, i am confronted with a defective rear axle differential seal. without replacement of this expensive factory defect, there is a possibility for the rear axle to over heat and possibly ignite the vehicle afire. *tr

Dt*: the contact stated there was a strange smell in the vehicle which came through the air conditioning vents. the vehicle was taken to the service dealer, where a bacterial growth was found on the evaporator coil. the dealer treated the growth, but the strange smell and vapor from the air conditioning vent was still present which caused runny noses, coughing and sore throats. the service dealer notified the manufacturer.*ak

There's a miss in the engine when driving at level or steady speed ...doesn't matter how fast or how slow.. gear shifter is hanging up and hard to get out of park to drive... gas mileage is a lot less than rated... *nm
