Tl* the contact owned a 2011 chrysler 200. the contact stated that while driving 25 mph in the rain, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to engage as the he had to pump the brake pedal several times. the contact stated the vehicle hydroplane and landed in a ditch. the contact sustained no injuries. a police report was not filed. the contact mentioned that he was experiencing issues with the brake pedal prior to the collision. the vehicle was towed to james collins downtown ford louisville (809 s 5th st, louisville, ky 40203) where the failure cause was not diagnosed as the vehicle was deemed total loss. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 74,000. the vin was not available.
While driving slower, decelerating, or beginning to accelerate from a stop, the brakes and steering lock up, and then the car stalls/shuts down. this has happened over 5 times in the past 2 weeks. prior to that, it would happen about once a week for about two months. it has occurred right before having to merge from a lane of heavy traffic (bumper-to-bumper) onto a busy highway, putting me in a dangerous position. luckily, after turning the ignition off and then on again, everything works fine...until it doesn't again.
As i am driving the parkway going about 60 mph my car with out any warning started with flashing red on the dashboard. the temperature gauge started going from hot to cold and the engine symbol flashed on dash board. i was in the left hand lane with a significant amount of traffic passing me. within 2-3 minutes as i started to go down hill the dash flashed steering will be disabled, then autobrading with be disabled. the radio at this point shut off and it was difficult to steer the car. there was little acceleration when i tried to give it gas to keep with the pace of the other vehicles attempting to move to the side of the road. i put my hazardous flashers on but because i did not have a dash board screen i was sure they were working everything electrical seemed to be off. i finally made it to the side of the road and the car went about 3 feet and stopped. i was not able to put the car in park once i got to the side of the road. it was ...
Pulling down my drive way my vehicle accelerated without me trying. i hit the brake and e brake. it did not stop us. in result of the acceleration my house stopped us.
Takata recall. to begin, my car wouldn't accelerate, i'd be driving and it would hesitate then take off reallty hard as to even jerk. did this a couple of times before i took it in to the dealership, one place told me it was nothing wrong, took it to another dealership because it kept stalling as i was on the highway and they said it was an electrical issue. then another issue occurred with the dash illuminating telling me my airbags alert displaying on my dash (2x)took it back to dealership, though they kept it for a week, they said it was because someone kicked the wiring loose under my passenger seat. no one has ever sat in my back seat. now my car is in the shop because at first the malfunction light illuminated, drove my car to work, returned to my car and it wouldn't start, had roadside jumpstart it, and it started, went back out later and it wouldn't start, as i tried to get out, my dash lit up and i had to push the button for it to turn off, as i'm walking away, my car literally tries ...

My car was working perfectly fine until i left work today. my check engine light came on as soon as i started my car and it kept saying 'check parking brake' and 'check airbags' i couldn't put my car in drive or reverse, it wouldn't go anywhere. possibly because the parking brake wouldn't let me drive. very strange, as it was sudden and unexpected.... have never had a problem with parking brake or airbags.
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving in reverse, the vehicle failed to stop when the brake pedal was depressed. in addition, the service electronic brake system warning indicator illuminated. the contact had to forcefully depress the brake pedal to stop the vehicle. the contact called courtesy chrysler dodge jeep ram (located at 1890 dogwood dr se, conyers, ga 30013, (678) 210-2489) and informed them of the failure. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 87,794.
After car in motion, it shuts off while driving, noticed that abs light came on before this happened. sometimes after it starts, it just shuts down, car goes completely dark, i opened the door and power came back on, then i could re- start it. it is very scary because i was in major traffic when this happened.
Car had been parked for about 5 hours. when i went to restart car made a noise like it was struggling to start. turned car off and check oil appears to be full. went to restart car and it would not restart. multiple attempts were made to start car and while all lights and beeping came on car would not start again over a 15 min period. can not push break down and when push the start button nothing happens. car has also stalled out multiple times while driving in the last year. chrysler dealership states its due to oil and it appears car is burning oil very fast. chrysler states that the car will not start due to a safety mechanism to not allow the engine to overheat due to low oil. as oil has appeared full and checked multiple time unsure as to why the car would do this.
