Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving 20 mph and accelerating from a stop light, the rpms revved highly, but the vehicle barely moved. the contact stated that the vehicle felt as if it jumped into gear and made the tires screech. the following day, while driving 30 mph, the vehicle automatically shifted into neutral when the accelerator pedal was depressed. when the contact pulled the vehicle over, turned if off, and restarted it, the vehicle was able to shift into drive. the vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. the dealer was contacted (russ darrow chrysler, jeep, dodge of west bend, 3210 w washington st, west bend, wi 53095) where it was determined that no recalls were associated with the vehicle. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 32,000.

On multiple occasions i have been driving down the road and my car shifts very hard and has made grinding noises. not only that but ever since i have bought it, it shifts like a rubber band being pulled back and makes you lunge forward. i believe i have taken it in 3 times now and with no resolution. the first time i took it in they had a service rep ride with me to see what i was feeling. he personally said that it wasn't shifting correctly and so they kept it. when i picked it up they informed me they did not find anything wrong with it but re-programmed it. as i left the dealership it shifted worse than before. i then called and complained and they said it was normal, on my way back home it was consistently shifting rough. i finally just pulled over shut the car off and started it up again. after doing so it shifted smoother but worse than it did before. on a separate occasion i was driving down the highway at a speed of 70 mph set on cruise when i tried to disengage the cruise control function and it would not disengage! i was going from a highway to a speed limit change and could not get it. luckily i have read about this happening and shifted it into neutral and i was able to disengage it after that.

Since day one of purchasing this vehicle, i have felt a lurch when i press the gas for acceleration. when pressing the gas, the vehicle will hesitate, then jump into motion. when going in low speeds it feels as if i have been rear ended. when i took this vehicle to the chrysler dealership, the service technician told me its just a glitch in this car.

On 9/16/18, vehicle died and would not start. after several attempts, it started, then while driving down the road, vehicle lost all electrical power and came to a stop in the middle of traffic. car was towed to dealer where they trouble shooted for several days trying to reproduce the electrical power failure. they found a services bulletin about electrical connection and replaced wiring harness. over the next several months i noticed my vehicle felt like the transmission was slipping. as time went on, i realized it wasn't a slipping, but a hard shift. the vehicle would also loose power upon acceleration to merge into traffic or changing lanes. this was very scary, but at times it seemed as if the vehicle might lose complete power and die while in heavy highway speed traffic. on 10/11/2018 while having my vehicle oil changed, i asked the technician to drive the vehicle to confirm what i was feeling with the transmission. the technician agreed that the transmission was in fact not shifting or functioning properly. i obtained a quote to have the transmission serviced. the technician advised have the transmission flushed/serviced might help, but often times flushing can cause symptoms to worsen. i opted to not have the transmission flushed/serviced at that time and planned to take my vehicle into the dealer after the holidays. it is now the the 3rd week in december and just this week the hard shifting and loss of power when the vehicle downshifts to merge into highway speed traffic has worsened significantly. i phoned the chrysler dealer today and spoke with my service advisor to schedule an appt. i am to call back on wednesday 12/26 to reserve a courtesy vehicle and schedule appt. to drop my vehicle off on 12/27/2018

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while attempting to shift the vehicle to the drive position, the gear became stuck in the neutral position without warning. the vehicle was unable to shut off due to the defect. the vehicle was taken to bayshore chrysler jeep dodge ram (5225 interstate 10 east, baytown, tx 77521), but the failure was not diagnosed. the vehicle was not repaired. the local dealer informed the contact that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v529000 (power train). the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was approximately 40,000.

Stalling

Takata recall. i got a letter couple months ago about a recall on the air bags saying that they are defected and the company who put them in are going bankrupt. since i been driving the chrysler(2017) its has been stalling when i drive. when i brought it i asked me man was there anything wrong he said no. there is still stalling when i drive as if its switching gears(kinda like a stick shift) it's scary because i have kids and places i take the car to is saying its its suppose to do that. i've drove many cars and never experienced the problem. when i'm on the highway an i'm on auto cruise it shifts from the # i have it on to a higher level then once again it's like it wants to stalls and kinda jerks. that's not normal at all because if i'm on auto cruise at 65 mph why wouldnt ot just stay there instead of just trying to switch gears? every day when i leave its jerks when i pull off as i'd it's a sticks shift. happens literally all the time. i took it to different shops one says it's a recall but others say it's nothing wrong and i cant find anything on who i'm suppose to talk to and really get this looked at

The car wouldn't start and then it disabled itself. finally able to get it started, it's started flashing through out the dash about the key-fob, replaced the batteries, that didn't fix it. then it started appearing to be neutral while driving, the engine malfunction light came on, but there was no code. restarted the car, mil off. didn't drive for several days, had a difficult time trying to start the car, the car didn't want to reverse. wouldn't go over 32 mph. turned off restarted was able to go 50 mph. the mil was on, was able to a diagnostic reading - see attached. my dash is lite up like christmas. it is flashing transmission errors and parking brake errors. why wasn't i notified the recall for this vehicle? i took car to the dealership the week of thanksgiving as this first stated 11/24/2017

Car stalling out while driving. stalled 4 times 12/10/17 then was driving rough, as i was going down the street the red lighting bolt came on along with the check engine light, parking light, traction control light. went to the gas station to put gas in, started car and the car would not go into drive. it took around 8-10 minutes to get the car to go into drive. there was all kinds of warnings going across the screen saying electrical malfunction service immediately and transmission malfunction service immediately. so i take the car in and the tcm is needing replaced and the engine may need replaced. this is not ok for a 2015 car to have this many problems.

Transition will slip on takeoff and will allow the car to roll forward on a hill when placed in park.

On november 29, 2017 at approximately 5:15 pm, was driving approximately 25mph in traffic on a two lane. i hit the brake to stop, no brakes, and i hit the person in front of me. after hitting them, i bounced off and continued to move with no brakes. my airbags did not deploy and i sustained injuries to me chest, neck, head and back. i was able to steer the car in the right side lane and eventually was able to steer into a parking lot; still with no brakes. i looked down to pull up the emergency brake and saw the shifter in neutral. i then put the shifter in park and the car finally stopped. i do not yet have the police report. i did not receive a ticket, but was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

S55 recall concern: i feel completely unsafe in this vehicle!! i bought the vehicle in october 2017 starting in late november early december 2017 the vehicle started shutting off by itself when i am driving it shifts to neutral by itself and completely dies. it happens randomly when i am braking or accelerating. this happens at least every 3-6 miles i drive and i have to drive alot working an hour away. this is very scary especially when you are turning in the middle of an intersection and it just stops. sometimes it gives warnings by lighting up random lights like slippery road, the check engine light, and sputters so i can anticipate it since it happens all the time!!! i am being told that it is because the vehicle is due for an oil change even though i am not over, i use full synthetic done by the dealership, and this is a safety feature for the vehicle but to me this is no safety feature if anything it is a death trap waiting to happen. i have had this vehicle less than 6 months and i am afraid to ride around with my child in it not knowing what will happen. in fact i go out of my way to go around intersections or dangerous expressways because i am afraid it will stop with her in the car. please help!

Takata recall. my car sometimes has a hard time changing gears, it's almost like it gets stuck in neutral sometimes and wont properly accelerate. i was not in city limits it happens constantly when i first start to drive my vehicle (mostly when i'm within my own personal driveway) and i have not been in any fatal accidents nor have i been in a near accident. the only reason i am reporting this issue is because i have seen this occuring issue with other cars the same as mine model/year wise and was wondering if my specific vehicle had been looked at for these potential recalls.

The shifting mechanism, in the automatic cycle, of this vehicle jerks or lurches significantly, especially at the 25-35 mgh rate. the transmission was re-programmed but the vehicle continues to lurch when accelerating. in slow traffic, the vehicles lurches continually and in some cases, close to hitting the vehicle in front of me. same in sport mode. also have transmission fluid changed with no help. this has occurred since the acquisition of the vehicle over two years ago. the problem continues to get worse.

In late august 2017 i purchased this vehicle, within 60 days an alarm light came on and sounded off. i took the car into the service dept, and was told an adjustment was made and the car would be fine. a few days later the same thing happened, this time i was told the car needed a transmission; a 4 was put in the car instead of a 2 and it would be 6 months to a year before the part would be available, because there was a back order on this particular item. due to manufacturing, this is a wide spread issue and there is no recall, the cars are being repaired as they are brought in. i was also told to continue driving the car i should not have any other problems other than the car may stall. well, the gears are starting to slip and it takes a couple seconds to get in gear when pulling off from an idle position, along with that the alarms are still going off. the issue that the car could just cut off in the middle of driving is unnerving by itself. i no longer feel like i have a safe vehicle to drive. i can't continue putting myself at risk. the car is still under the full warranty.

The transmission sensor clusters may have insufficient crimps in the transmission wire harness, and as a result, the transmission may unexpectedly shift to neutral. the car is shaking right after i refilled the gas to full. i have been to the dealer to have the same problem fixed over 5 times. however, the same problem occured the next day after i was told the problem was fixed. i was driving the vehicle on the high way. all of a sudden, the transmission broke down and the car lost its power.

My 2015 chrysler 200 2.4l 45k would not shift from parking to drive, but sometimes it drives in reverse...

Transmission may shift unexpectedly to neutral causing a loss of motive power. the loss of motive power could cause a crash without warning. the incidents always involve shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. all 6 or 7 incidents that happened from january to october occurred on city streets.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle decelerated independently and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the contact placed the vehicle in park and restarted the vehicle. the contact notified the local chrysler dealer (mac haik chrysler dodge, 11000 north fwy, houston, tx 77037) where an appointment was scheduled. the manufacturer was not notified of failure. the vin was included in nhtsa campaign number: 16v529000 (power train). the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was unknown.

Takata recall! my chrysler has been shutting off and losing power. it is hard to restart it and it says put it park. no warning lights and it beeps when i turn.

Stalls shifts, shifts hard won't go to park stays in neutral. went for recall dealer said i just need the update. car is still acting the same after recall. feel very unsafe when car stalls on highway and busy streets.

9-speed automatic transmission shifts extremely hard in gears 1-5. also lunges on downshifts. software updates and new valve body have not fixed the problem. dealer now states nothing else can be done since no check engine data can be found.

Twice i've had my kids in the car and have had this car stall out on me in motion and it is definitely a safety issue

When driving the car jerks between speeds, especially from 3rd speed to 4 speed its a hard/rough shift. even when stopping the car is still going and jerking. very unsafe! especially in stop and go traffic, vehicle has a very bad delay when trying o merge into traffic.

As i was on my way to work at 5:30 am this car stalled and told me to pull over, turn off engine and place in park. i live in country so there was nothing but a back country road. the car would not start at all would not shift into park, i called my husband to come help me. he had to pull both battery terminals off and reconnect them. after i was 2 hours late to work the car finally started again. since this incident this has happened 3 more times at different times of day.

2015 chrysler 200 have had nothing but trouble with the car since purchase. transmission runs very rough, car jerks, shifts gears unexpectedly, engine shuts off while driving. 9/29/17 engine shut off while driving and car hit a curb. have taken to the dealership over and over and they say nothing is wrong with the car and have not noted in my file that i have complained about transmission problems. was contacted by chrysler engineers that were doing a study on the transmission problems and wanted me to test drive a newer model to compare. they admitted chrysler knew about problems with this model but have been unable to get chrysler to admit or buy back the vehicle

Transmission makes hard shifts. it is the 9 speed automatic transmission. vehicle has the 3.6 v6. hard shifts come at any speed. between i think 3rd and 6th gear. it doesn't matter if your are casually driving or press on the accelerator to speed up fast. it is a jolt that you never expect. we complained about it once. they said they had done an update and it seemed better. now it is out of the bumper to bumper warranty and it is doing it again rather frequently. like 3-4 times a day. unsure what to do. when it happens it feels like the transmission is going to fall out. feels scary. usually going straight probably between 25-40 mph. i selected date below. but this has occurred since about 3 months after purchase and continues.

Bought new. car has 37000 miles so out of 36000 mile warranty. engine just started cutting off while driving. nearly caused an accident several times. dealer says there is no recall even though we showed them there is a recall for this issue.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving 5 mph, the engine stalled and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. the contact replaced the spare battery and jumpstarted the vehicle. the contact was able to drive the vehicle. the contact also stated that the gear failed to shift from park to drive, but then automatically shifted from park to neutral. after a few attempts, the vehicle restarted and the gear shifted into drive. the contact was able to drive to gwinnett chrysler dodge jeep ram (5054 us-78, stone mountain, ga 30087), but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was contacted at 800-853-1403 and stated that the vin was not included in the recall. the contact was advised to call nhtsa. a case number was not provided. the failure mileage was 41,000.

While turning onto the on ramp of the freeway one morning, the car engine shut off. i had to quickly get out and push the car out of the lanes. the car prompted shift to park and attempted to restart. after some time approximately 2 to 3 minutes trying to start, the vehicle started back up. the lights were dimmer and power was weak. drove about a mile (at 32mph as the max speed the car would allow) and it shut off again. once again prompting to shift to park. the vehicle restarted with no issue this time. made it to the front of my house, 3 miles away from where it stopped the second time, and it stopped again.

Everything that is wrong with my car is currently under what has been recalled however my vin [xxx] does not state there is a recall. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Gator chrysler service manager roger called this dealership and agreed to give me a new tire with road hazard warranty after i got a nail in my tires on his lot. the invoices will show this. the other tire they patched and roger after getting on phone with tire kingdom requested this come back to him. these original 4 tires, including the patched ones had matching dot numbers. the new one paid for by roger of gator chrylser melbourne, fl had an inmatched dot number, being from a new batch, also lesser tread wear compared to other 3. tire kingdom since has seen my car multiple times for tire punctures. i was told the car guys here are connected and nothing is for free. i was told they are pawns following someones directive. this is disturbing as it involves local organized crime, as even the police could not get away with this action legally. i saved tge patched tire and all records. tire kingdom repeatedly with gator chrysler of melbourne, fl sabotaged my car, tires since

Transmission is unsafe. very choppy. stalls on acceleration which is very dangerous to pass. "hesitates". will sometimes shift into neutral. "lurches" forward. very obviously not a good transmission, passengers in the car are very aware of the choppy transmission gear changes.

Engine intermittently turns off whenever i slow dow, turn a corner or stop. a indicator comes on stating t9 put the car in park to start when i was i'm drive..happens without any warning

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that while driving at 55 mph, without warning the vehicle downshifted, the vehicle veered off of the roadway into a ditch. the front bumper was damaged. additionally, on several occasions the vehicle stalled after experiencing the downshifting. the vehicle was taken to parkway hyundai located at 5920 market st a, wilmington, nc 28405, (877) 250-3183, where the vehicle was purchased and the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. the vehicle was previously repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 16v529000 (power train). the manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

Vehicle wouldn't accelerate when pedal was pushed, then jerked and took off. vehicle began accelerating quickly while in cruise control mode. started having problems with the push start button, wouldn't not do anything when pressed.

Mostly hwy driving~engine light comes on, transmission light is on and vehicle speed decreases, unable to accelerate. when i come to a complete stop, most times the screen will reset, the engine light will go off with in the next day or two. stored codes have been p1da9, p073e. i've taken the care to the dealer, software reset-only solved the problem for a short time. searched for recall by vehicle and there are at least 7, but when searching by vin # states none. this has happened numerous time but i will enter most recent date with complaint

Transmission shifts hard lurches forward when trying to stop doesn't respond at acceleration loses power when trying to pull out in traffic chrysler says i need to put new tires on the car to correct the transmission

I purchased this vehicle on 7-18-2017 and i returned it to the dealership at least 6 times in regards to different issues mainly with the transmission and powertrain. they said that they replace the transmission but the problem still occurred two weeks later

Vehicle has around 35,000 miles on it. i have noticed since about 20,000 miles that the car has been jerking. this happens both with slow acceleration and slowing down to stop. if i am approaching a red light or stop sign and i start to slow to stop, the car will jerk to the point that it feels like it will stall. when easing off of the brake after a stop sign or red light, the car jerks to the point that if i was close enough to the car in front of me, i would most likely hit them. on one occasion i was driving through a school zone going about 10 mph, the rpm needle was past 4 and the car was making a loud sound. i tried to go slower but the car jerked and stalled. another issue is when trying to merge onto an interstate, the car doesn't seem to want to speed up. it will be stuck around 50-55 and i really have to hit the gas to get it to speed up. within the last month, my car has stalled twice. once when backing out of my drive way and once while pulling in. i have taken it to the dealership relating the a transmission error i got as well as a coolant temp. sensor and mentioned the issues with the jerking and stalling but the dealership has not been able to recreate or get a code. this is starting to happen more frequently and is a bit alarming as i never know when it is going to start giving issues.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that there was a sudden loss of power and the vehicle stalled. the vehicle was unable to be driven and had to be towed. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v470000 (electrical system) and 16v529000 (power train). the dealer was not contacted. the manufacturer was notified. the failure mileage was not available. parts distribution disconnect.

It?s been at least 8months since i?ve driven my own car because of all the safety hazards on it and i am pregnant. i feel to scared to drive it thinking that something may happen to me because the car wants to act up. since about a month after i had financed the car i noticed that the air bag light was on and the transmission light would pop on and off. the car started to stay at a certain speed limit and would not accelerate no matter how hard or long i pressed on the gas pedal. i would then have to pull over to the side of the road and turn my car off and then turn it back on. this was ongoing for months.. it was my only transportation to work and i didn?t have the money to get a new car after just financing one and being young in the military. i had took it to my dealership when this happened and they told me that the transmission light would come up because the sensor for my oil wasn't reading and it was nothing to worry about and my air bag light came up because someone in the backseat must've stepped on it and it would still work but the light would be there. a lot of [xxx] but at the time i didn't know much so i went off of what they said. later on the light would go on and off. for the first 6 month i believe i had replaced my lights 8 times thinking that it was normal to change it that often. again i didn't know much about cars. but after getting it checked the dealership had told me i have wiring issues and i my head lights and highbeams don?t work on the left hand side. and after letting a friend use my car for a day i believe they've gone out completely. today i went to drive my car literally 5min away from my house to the store to just turn it on and my car started shaking while i was driving it. oh and my battery has gone out before on me a couple of times in the past and it did that to me today while i was on a hill which was really dangerous. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act ...

My vehicle lost power (stalled) while i was turning a corner.

My vehicle lost power (stalled) while i was turning a corner.

I purchased the vehicle froma local certified dealer in the end of april 2017 in may i had to have it towed to there location becasue the vehicle wouldnt turn on or respond they claimed it was the battery but ever since then the car been shifting weird the told me it need to be taken to a chrysler dealership. just last week (july 4th weekend) i was driving to a friends house when the car wouldnt go past 35mph as soon as i stoped the vehicle stalled. itried to turn it on but it wont and it kept the starter even tho i let off the start button. i was scared to think it may cause a fire. 2 days after that i got the sama situation but this time the display would not work and the car stalled again resulting me to apply the hazards and try to avoid to get hit by vehicles. i have a current vedeo that show what it was doing
