Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving 65 mph, the contact noticed the brake system and service engine warning lights illuminated. in addition, the vehicle would not accelerate. the contact depressed the brake pedal and the engine revved loudly as if it were in neutral gear. the vehicle was restarted, but failed to shift out of park. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and repaired. the details were unavailable. the contact received nhtsa campaign number: 15v47000 (electrical system). the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was 8,000.

I was driving along a two lane hwy doing about 50-55mph when suddenly the service transmission light came on. i lost throttle capability and basically i was now coasting on a windy and hilly road. i was able to pull off at a safe place before i stopped. the transmission would not shift into park and though the selector still indicated "p" it was really in neutral because if i took my foot off the brake my car rolled backward. my parking brake wouldn't engage at first either. i held my foot on the brake as i called roadside assistance. at this point i was concerned i wouldn't be able to exit my vehicle. as i was talking with roadside assistance i kept trying to put the car into park and/or engage the parking brake. finally the parking brake worked and i was able to take my foot off the brake. i then decided to try to restart the car. when i turned the car off the transmission defaulted to park. so now i was safe to exit. once the car was restarted the transmission would not shift out of park. waited nearly 3 hours for a tow.

At random times when i take my foot off the gas peddle and start to apply pressure to my brake my car speeds up and the rpm jumps up also. i have taken th ecar to the repair shop 3 times and they say after a few hours that they can not get them to duplicate the issue. this has alsmost caused multiple wrecks.

Received a recall notice about an issue with the transaxle park rod late april 2015. took it to the dealer where we purchased the vehicle. where informed that the recall repairs could not be performed until after may 1, 2015 needed a specific tool that had been ordered. they did inspect the vehicle and said that it was safe, make an appointment for after may 1st. on may 7, 2015 my wife was driving on the highway at approximately 70 mph when she said the dash warning lights started going off and warning bells started going off. the warning said "service transmission" then would flash to "shift to park and engage parking brake". the transmission seemed to have shifted into neutral. the car was running but did not have any forward momentum. this message continued over and over. she had to go over 3 lanes of traffic before she could get to the side off the road to a safe spot. she immediately put on the hazard lights when this happened but had to dodge traffic. once she was stopped the shifter dial was still lit up that it was in drive, she moved it to park but still was lit up that it was in drive. she put on the parking brake and turned the car off. she waited a few minutes and started the car again. the shifter dial now showed to be in park, she tried to shift to all the other gears, the car would not move and the dial still showed it was in park. car was towed to the dealership where it was purchased. 2 days later informed that transaxle will need to be replaced. vehicle currently at dealership for repair/recall , it will take approximately a week to complete. disappointed and very concerned for my wife's safety .

This is a follow up on previous complaint shown below. vehicle has been at the dealer since may 7,2015. originally informed by the dealer where vehicle was purchased that it would take a couple of weeks to get a replacement transaxle. i contacted chrysler customer service on may 20,2015 and was informed that the earliest they can get a replacement would be june 26,2015 and possibly as far out as august of 2015. vehicle is currently at dealership. repair and return is unknown at this time. "received a recall notice about an issue with the transaxle park rod late april 2015. took it to the dealer where we purchased the vehicle. where informed that the recall repairs could not be performed until after may 1, 2015 needed a specific tool that had been ordered. they did inspect the vehicle and said that it was safe, make an appointment for after may 1st. on may 7, 2015 my wife was driving on the highway at approximately 70 mph when she said the dash warning lights started going off and warning bells started going off. the warning said "service transmission" then would flash to "shift to park and engage parking brake". the transmission seemed to have shifted into neutral. the car was running but did not have any forward momentum. this message continued over and over. she had to go over 3 lanes of traffic before she could get to the side off the road to a safe spot. she immediately put on the hazard lights when this happened but had to dodge traffic. once she was stopped the shifter dial was still lit up that it was in drive, she moved it to park but still was lit up that it was in drive. she put on the parking brake and turned the car off. she waited a few minutes and started the car again. the shifter dial now showed to be in park, she tried to shift to all the other gears, the car would not move and the dial still showed it was in park."

I was made aware of a recall effecting certain vin#s in the model year 2015 chrysler 200 line. this recall was for "contaminated, dislodged or broken parking pawl or park rod (nhtsa recall id 15v-090): ". when i search by my vin# i do not see that mine is included but i can tell you from shortly after purchasing the vehicle until now, on a weekly basis i will pull into a parking spot/driveway and put my car in park and it will continue to roll forward or backward 1-3 feet before it actually stops moving. it seems to me that either the dealership failed to inspect this car properly before we purchased it or that that there are more vin#s that should be evaluated for the issue. i would be happy to take my car to the dealership so that they can experience what this car does.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v090000 (power train) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable timeframe to schedule the recall repair. the dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. the manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. the contact had not experienced a failure.

In september of 2014 i purchased a new 2015 200s. in may 2015 i took my car in to get the recall work done and an oil change at my local dealership jerry ulm chrysler of tampa and this is where my nightmare begins. shortly after this visit, the check engine light came on. i took the car back and 3 days after this they replaced my transmission. i picked up my car after the transmission was replaced and i started to have issues with the car hesitating and it would almost feel like if i was driving a 20 year old car with a bad transmission. i took the car back and they stated that several other things were corrected. the car still has a serious issue when you drive, i took it back for a test drive with a tech. after the test drive he stated "the jerky drive is normal with this car". as i told him, if the car drove this way when i test drove it, i would have never purchased the car. i have been waiting for a resolution to the problem from the gm at jerry ulm chrysler of tampa and to date i have not heard from him. the car continues to drive poorly and the other day as i was driving, the letter d started to flash and the car would not move. i was able to pull over to the side of the road safely. i wasnt able to power off the car or take it out of gear for almost 2 mins. it stopped flashing and i was able to put the car in park and i powered it off. after a few mins, i turned the car back on and it was working again.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving at an unknown speed, the transmission failed to shift past second gear and the vehicle would not accelerate past 15 mph. the contact indicated that during the incident the message "faulty transmission was displayed". the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 3,500.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v090000 (power train) however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was not notified of the issue. the contact had not experienced a failure. vin tool confirms parts not available. updated 1/20/16 *ss the consumer stated recall work was performed. *tr

On a few occasions going down hill on a highway, there is an unintended acceleration. then the transmission will stall into gear going downhill as well. the engine will be at very high rpm for the speed i go which is 45-50. often when i back out in reverse, the brakes make a humming noise.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact received notifications for nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v090000 (power train) and 15v461000 (equipment); however, the parts needed were not available for the recall repairs. the dealer could not provide a timeframe for when the parts would become available. the contact believed that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. the manufacturer was not made aware of the delay. the contact had not experienced a failure.

After placing vehicle in drive or reverse the car will not move with a slight pressure on the accelerator then when apply a slight more pressure on the accelerator the car lurches forward/backwards.

Purchased this car in the spring, the car had 100 miles. although the car is an automatic the car was down shifting hard, mentioned this to service where they stated the car was getting used to my driving. i have driven manual transmissions for many years where the transition between gears was far smoother. this continued until around 10,000 miles when engine light finally came on. transmission completely failed and was replaced. since then two recalls have been performed and the down shifting issue has worsened. again told, car needs to get use to my driving as it is all digital. drove a 2015 dodge journey while car was worked on for a recall, it had 9,000 miles all digital...had zero issues with down shifting. it is completely unacceptable to have payments on a car that clearly should not be on the road. 1st and last chrysler i will ever own. i am frequently on the highway with children in the car and do not feel this is a safe vehicle.

Transmission light on. it does jerk on take off stall once onto highway. last time in garage code came up p1db7-00-torgue converter clutch performance the garage will not fix

My finance and i went on trip to tennessee. on the expressway i was driving around 70 miles per hour. the car started to slow down on it own in the middle of traffic. it dropped from 70 to 60 and then to 45 without me doing anything. it started shifting gears automatically on it owns. then i pushed the gas and it went back up to 70. once we arrived to tennessee we had to go up mountains and the car started to stall again in the mountains. this was very scary. as i was going into the mountains the car almost stopped while driving. the car kept shifting gears even when i am barely pressing the gas. i had to pull over and shut the car off and start it again. the car started stalling the first day of purchasing it but i thought it was suppose to this until it did it on the express way. i have a brand new car that i am afraid to drive it on long distance trips because of this issue. talk about disappointing. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. when the brake pedal was depressed, the vehicle jerked and accelerated independently. the contact also stated that when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle reduced in speed. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure was undetermined. in addition, the vehicle experienced an abnormal noise coming from the brakes. the vehicle was scheduled to be taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under nhtsa campaign number: 15v0900000 (power train). while driving approximately 25 mph, the vehicle shook while shifting gears without warning. the failure recurred on several occasions. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer but the failure was unable to be determined. the contact stated that the mechanic repaired an unknown component, but the failure persisted. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 4,800. updated 07/14/16*lj updated 4/12/18*jb *tr

On sunday, april 12th at 5:30am, i was driving southbound on i-94 at 65mph when all of a sudden i lost all power to my transmission. my gas pedal was useless & i had to coast off the expressway to the shoulder (i was in the far left lane & the shoulder there is too narrow). if this had been at a different time, i would have no doubt been killed (as well as others i'm sure), for i wouldn't have had the room or momentum to coast onto the shoulder & would have been struck from behind. chrysler wants the car fixed & not even the dealer knows exactly what is wrong, citing it as a 'shotgun fix'. and, i'm on an expressway (or two or three) everyday. this car is a danger & it will no doubt do this again. *tr

I am leasing the chrysler 200c.i leased it in october 2014,within the first month it was back with check engine light and check transmission light. next one headlight and back light would stay on when car was off and then sometimes both headlights would stay on when car was off.brought car back to service due to this and check engine light on again was told there was a recall on my car it was the ro8 parkrod.i was then told false alarm there is no recall i was given back car.i got in touch with chrysler customer care to find out about this and i was told to drive the car see if check engine light came back on.while driving on an interstate the car began to bounce, steering wheel tightened, speed dropped to zero, rpm went up, and nothing happened when i tried to accelerate. i was able to pull over to shoulder.i am still trying to get car fixed. *tr

After driving all day, i was on road after 8 pm. driving 60 on highway. car hiccuped then started decelerating quickly. transmission light came on. then, before i got to safe place to stop the dashboard started blinking message to put car in park and turn off. had same problem less than 5000 miles ago. after a week and working with corporate, they said it was faulty power distribution box. *tr

Purchased card in july 2014. first occurrence, 5 april; 2nd occurrence, 1 may; 3rd occurrence, 15 may. while slowing down (approx. 45mph) transmission shifts from drive to neutral. had to move to slower lane, stop, shift to park and then to drive. the last time it happened 3 times in 2 hours, hazardous road warning light appeared. dealer has changed transmission control module, tested "pin connectivity", contacted chrysler corp, car still in the shop. each time the dealer test drove it, they experienced the same conditions. not sure of next step.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that the recall notice for nhtsa campaign number: 15v0909000 (power train) was received in april of 2015. after contacting the dealer on multiple occasions, the contact was informed that the parts needed to repair the vehicle were still not available and no estimated time for receiving the parts could be given. the contact had not experienced a failure. updated 11/19/15*lj updated 1/14/2016 *js

Vehicle lost acceleration while driving at approx. 45 mph (car was in drive). car would not respond to throttle input, even though car was running. had to coast to a stop, where i attempted to shift the car into park, neutral & the rotary dial would not move. left car running with foot on brake for several minutes, when the car seemed to return to normal, as i was able to turn rotary dial into park & then back into drive. this is the second occurrence of this happening. previous incident took place about 30 days prior. in both cases chrysler service dept. stated the car was fixed. according to dealer repair order. the car lost communication with tcm diagnostic code was u0101-00 performed star case [xxx] i feel this car is no longer safe to drive. has been returned to dealer 4-6 times since purchased new in june of 2014. transmission was replaced at about 3,000 miles. currently pursuing lemon law...current status is the case is being audited. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr

Car has terrible gas mileage. well below govt average/window sticker. i was only getting 17 mpg where the min city rating was 23. after many visits to the dealer and dealing with the terrible chrysler customer service, the service dept finally did the tsb that dealt with the transmission calibration. they reflashed/updated the trans software and now i'm getting 24 mpg which is the bare minimum i basically should get. highway is still fairly below specs and i do not get near the combined 28 mpg either. i had almost 4700 miles on the car before they realized they needed to do the tsb on it. now of course after spending much more money on gas than i should have, chrysler doesn't care at all and basically laughed at me when i asked for fair compensation since it was their fault they let a car out of the factory that was not calibrated correctly nor did the dealer do the tsb before the car was sold. i doubt i'll ever buy another fca vehicle again in the future. also the car had jerky transmission issues that prompted them to look into the trans to begin with then they found the tsb info.

The car lurches ahead when driving at slower speeds on the streets. it has shut off one time when going from reverse to drive, in a parking lot. i have been a little afraid of it. i will be taking it in to the dealer. taken place since we bought it in mar, 2015 and continues.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while parked, the vehicle rolled away without warning. the contact was able to enter the vehicle and depress the emergency brake. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v090000 (power train) but the part was not available. the dealer did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 5,800.

I was at a stop sign with my spouse and i was taking a right hand turn. the car didn't move at all then all of a sudden it lunged forward causing us to jerk back and forth. i still have lower back pain because of this and my spouse neck was hurting for a couple of weeks. other than that i have several issues that had yet to be resolved. there is a rattling sound coming from the engine compartment. they told me it was a knock and i have tried different brands of gas and it 's still there. the car still lunges forward from a stop even though it has had an update on its system multiple times. when you put the car in park it rolls forward quite a bit. 2 times it jumped out of park and into reverse. i have had an airbag issue 5 times and today it is at the dealership to be repaired again. it is the right side airbag. connectors were changed and wiring 4 times. car hesitates a lot especially from a stand still. i have almost gotten into accidents due to the fact that when i was taking a left on a major road from a complete stop the car rolled a little and didn't go. it hesitated jerked hard and went really slow. a grinding noise came from the tranny. another issue i have is that my car vibrates. i don't have no ac nor radio on and it just vibrates. the tech told me that chryslers star will not do anything for my vehicle just updates. i'm paying for a car that spends about a week in the shop once a month since april. no one can figure it but they can hear the rattling and feel the sound. i even had one tech told me that i should deal with it that i am not the only one complaining but star isn't going to do anything about it. yet again it is at the shop today getting an update and the airbag being repaired.

After only owning my vehicle for less than 72 hours, and driving about 380 miles, my transmission appears to have had a complete failure. i noticed it downshifting very hard at a stop light, then again a mile or so down the road. by the time i got to another stop light, my car downshifted so violently it slammed me into my seat belt and scared me badly. it felt as if the car had shifted in park while it was still rolling forward at about 10 miles an hour. when i attempted to accelerate away form the light, the car would not up shift, so i had to limp it into the next parking lot at 4k rpms at about 7 mph. when i pulled into the parking space, the vehicle would not shift into park. after several attempts, the car finally shifted out of drive into reverse, and after several more attempts, it finally shifted into park allowing me to turn off the engine. while i was not really injured behind a slight soreness from the seat belt, had i been traveling at highway speeds when the vehicle down shifted into park, there would have been a serious accident. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. while driving at various speeds, a clanking sound was heard and the vehicle shifted from drive to neutral. the check engine light illuminated. in addition, the vehicle failed to accelerate when the accelerator pedal was depressed. the failure recurred intermittently. the contact received a notification of nhtsa campaign number: 15v470000(electrical system); however, the part for the recall was not available. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the contact mentioned that the dealer attempted to remedy the failure by updating the transmission control module, but the failure recurred. the dealer replaced the whole transmission and performed wb solenoid relearn. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 5,000.

Driving down the highway during rush hour traffic at 45 mph, the tranmission went into neutral even though the selector was in drive and did not allow me to accelerate at all while the car proceeded to slow to a stop. the "service transmission" message, check engine light and other messages appeared. it required me to stop my car, restart it in order to drive it again. this is a very serious safety concern. it also gets stuck in 4th gear (limp home mode) which is also dangerous because the engine has very little power when you stop and it prevents you from accelerating at the rate of traffic. it is also extremely hard to drive up hills.

While driving on the highway at about 65mph, the car shut off as we coasted to a stop. car was inoperable. we tried restarting the car, but was unsuccessful. all electrical features, including the gear shift knob were inoperable. we gave it time and attempted to restart vehicle a number of times. we finally succeeded half an hour later. all appeared to be well. not sure if this has been a common issue, but it is a concern of ours. there has been a number of recalls on their vehicles and it behooves me that there is no law that makes these car manufacturers responsible for buying back their vehicles. my husband and i bought a new vehicle, believing it would be the safer thing to do. i have a teenager, an infant and another baby on the way. it is so scary to have babies in a vehicle you no longer feel safe in, knowing their frailties if an accident were to occur. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign numbers: 15v090000 (power train), 15v470000 (electrical system), and 16v529000 (power train); however, the parts to do the repairs were unavailable. the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was notified. the contact had not experienced a failure. parts distribution disconnect.

An unexpected surge from the engine and drivetrain occurs occasionally with no accelerator pedal application - most often while slowing down around corners. the first time this happened was within a day of buying the car. it startled me and have since approach corners much more cautiously. the unexpected surge has happened approximately six times since late-january to varying degrees of power. i finally have time to take it in tomorrow, 8 april 2015. *tr

When decelerating going down a slight incline my foot was off the gas pedal. as i applied the brake pedal the car shifted but had accelerated as though i had pushed on the gas pedal. i had to forcefully apply the brakes even harder to keep from hitting the car in from of me. i have noticed this on other occasions as well but this time was different as there was someone in front of me. it is as though when the car shifts from 7th to 5th and also from 5th to 3rd the car lunges forwards. i have also notices the car will pull itself up a hill without applying the gas pedal when approaching a stop sign at the top of the hill. i am concerned i may inadvertently rear end another vehicle with this issue. *js

I purchased this car brand new from a chrysler dealer. since i've had my car on several occasions ill be driving along and the vehicle will get stuck in a neutral position. its happened at a variety of speeds from 10 mph to 60 mph. two or three times it has done it when trying to cross a busy road almost causing me to be hit on my side at highway speeds. once or twice it has even caused the car to stall. this is a very serious issue and going to cause many fatalities. it needs to be addressed. i've never hated a vehicle like this one. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the engine and brakes, the dashboard overheated, and the vehicle hesitated to accelerate. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was functioning as designed. the vehicle was not repaired. the contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number:15v470000(electrical system); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. the contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was approximately 2,100.

1st time: on highway at 55mph got and error on dash: service transmission then performance shifting not available 2nd time: after just 4-5 minutes of driving the car had same errors as above. at the next light, pressed gas and there was no revving of engine (rpms did not move). put it into park and it said car is not in park, use emergency brake to prevent movement." put brake on, then into d, then brake off and car went very slowly as it was stuck in 4th gear. went onto highway and still stuck in 4th for a few miles (revving at 4,000 rpms at about 60mph). suddenly the engine began revving itself up to 5.5k without my foot on the pedal, but there was no acceleration (like car was not in a gear). i pressed accelerator and nothing happened, it stayed at about 5.5k. i put car into n and the rpms dropped to about 1.5k, but car still not in a gear so it was losing speed so i moved to breakdown lane. put it back into d and it again revved to 5.5k, but still no gear and lost speed. 3rd time: i would turn to d and it would take about 3-5 seconds before it clunked into gear. car then shuddered a bit as i pulled out and then it gave the same errors as before: service transmission then performance shifting not available on the dash. it also got stuck in 4th gear again so i could not accelerate properly. it also revved the engine randomly. in fact, i almost smashed into my garage because as i was slowly turning into my garage the car suddenly surged forward (imagine in a manual car, revving the engine and then rapidly letting out on the clutch) and i had to slam on the brakes to prevent it from going into the side of my house. if there were people walking in front of the car at a crosswalk, they would have been hit. this is not acceptable and not safe. just as much i could easily get into an accident with another car, the way this car is behaving. *tr

I was driving on the interstate in my brand new chrysler 200 (barely 6,000 miles on it) around 6:00 am, going about 78 mph, when suddenly the parking brake appeared to engage, the radio went off while warning beeps were going non stop, and every warning on the dash was lit up, the car would not accelerate, and seemed to think it was in park while it was actually in drive. it still would not drive (was acting as though brakes were on when they were not) when the tow truck came 2 hours later and the driver was trying to get it onto the bed. as i was on the interstate when my car went into a swift and sudden deceleration i was almost seriously injured and, potentially, could have injured others. i was lucky it was so early in the morning and no one was hurt. i have not yet heard from the dealership as this only happened this morning, but i am terrified to ever drive that car again. i believe this should be looked into before anyone is injured or killed due to whatever caused this malfunction. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 chrysler 200. the contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the headlights were activated, but the headlights and tail lights failed. as a result, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. the air bags did not deploy. a police report was filed. the contact sustained unknown injuries that did not require medical attention. in addition, while parked with the vehicle started, the vehicle jerked forward without warning and crashed into a curb. there were no injuries. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 100.

I was on a slight hill (approx 10-15 degrees) stopped the car and put it into park, pressed the engine start button to shut off the engine and opened the door to exit. as i lifted my weight out of the car, it began to roll backwards, my foot slipped under the car but i was able to hit the breaks with my other foot. thinking it was something i did wrong, i pulled the car back up and repeated the same steps and it did the same thing again (this time with out my foot). i was then thinking, this is a brand new 31k+ car - it cant be doing this so i repeated a third time and it happened again. i called my dealer who instructed me to set the emergency brake on park selection on my radio and to bring the car in immediately! its now in the dealers shop as they are getting the hem and haw from chrysler on what to do. i want this fixed asap as i am lucky the car did not run over me and crash into the cars behind me. *tr

Vehicle engine cylinder walls suffered from excessive scoring during the time it was manufactured. the car constantly stalls, shakes, and jerks when driving and during idle periods. this vehicle is very unsafe to drive, due to the fact that control over the vehicle is limited because of theconstant shaking and rumbling of the steering wheel while driving. while i was driving the chrysler car on the highway, the vehicle almost shut off completely, subsequently putting me and my newborn baby at risk of a fatal accident. the vehicle has also been diagnosed with many other issues with the power train components of the engine. one morning in my garage, the 200 would not crank when pressing the push button ignition and after this, the manual transmission would not shift the vehicle into neutral in order for the car to be towed. this vehicle was purchased brand new in 2015, and chrysler has failed to fix or acknowledge these issues.

I purchased this vehicle from the dealer four months ago. in that time i have had some unpleasant experiences. at first it was little things, such as not being able to start the car, or the keyfob didn't work correctly. although those were nagging they were easily dealt with. last week i was driving down the street doing about 40mph, and the cars display started throwing error messages, such as service transmission. the car felt like it had stalled and i had no power to the gas, brake or steering wheel. luckily i was not on the highway when this happened or the likelihood of me getting in an accident would be very high, being that this was in the evening. so, i am stuck in the middle of the road with a car that still has accessory power, but i was not able to shift the car into park, or drive. i was able to shut the car off and restart it fine, but again couldn't shift. after about 20 minutes the car shifted into gear, and i was able to drive it, albeit very slowly since the engine would not rev past 2000 rpms. i checked for any service bulletins and see this has been an issue for several people. there was not a fix associated with this. i brought the car in to your service department, and they were not able to recreate the issue. so, now i am stuck with a brand new car with roughly 2200 miles that i'm afraid to drive. if/when this happens again i hope i'm not on the highway or any road actually as the chance of an accident is very high. i don't feel safe. i have never had something like this happen to me, so i honestly don't know how to proceed. *tr

9 speed transmission has issues. upshifts 2 to 3 are harsh and sometimes slams in after waiting too long to shift. worst, the vehicle actually accelerates when slowing down and downshifting from 5 to 4 (no foot on the throttle). this is repeatable consistently. several times now during quick stops (i.e. someone walks out on the road) the vehicle had a burst of acceleration while hard braking. dealer advises nothing they can do - chrysler rep told them to tell customers "this is normal". unfortunately the unexpected burst of acceleration is not repeatable when needed. vehicle has already been checked for recall and has gone through 2 software updates. . the car is accelerating on it's own. this car is unsafe!
