Problems with 2012 Chrysler 200 SEATS

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 chrysler 200. the contact stated that within two weeks of owning the vehicle, the head rest restraint deployed without warning. the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign numbers: 13v282000 (electrical system, air bags), 16v668000 (seat belts, air bags), and 17v640000 (seats, air bags). the dealer (autonation usa corpus christi, 3115 s padre island dr, corpus christi, tx 78415-1815, 361-217-6733) was notified of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 52,000.

The head rest is detached from the seat and is very unsafe

Chrysler 200 2012 has issue with headrest assembly on driver side. i had it diagnosed from chrysler dealership. i also read recalls regarding this issue in same cars but when i put my car's vin # to check any recall it says 0 recall. can you help to see if this can be fixed. it is a driving safety issue.

Passenger head restraint is broken, two little plastic pieces snapped i assume. it happened while i wasn't in the car, parked outside my house. never had an accident nor have i damaged the car in anyway,

Tl* the contact owns a 2012 chrysler 200. while driving 20 mph, whenever the contact activated the turn signal, the windshield wipers activated. while driving, the driver side headrest popped off. the vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the headrest needed to be replaced. the turn signal issue could not be diagnosed. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. the failure mileage was 38,500.

Re: electrical failure leading to delay in car starting or malfunctioning of vehicle electrical system. while attempting to trade in 2012 chrysler 200, purchased on 07/15/2014, vin #[xxx] from florida fine car located at 1027 s state road 7 hollywood florida 33023 i was informed by sales representative of carmax that i could not receive the best trade in offer because the vehicle had ?evidence of major rear end repairs and re-welded trunk pan. carmax will not retail this vehicle.? 9/4/13 -- headrest popped open while driving, front power outlet not operating, hesitates on acceleration, noise under hood and splash shield missing screws. outlet fuse was replaced, plastic hold downs for splash shield replaced and headrest found to be defective. sadly to see service rep asked, ?if i had tampered with headrest. two weeks later i received a recall notice. 9/13/13 -- headrest replaced, scrubbing under car persists, front power outlet not operating again, car continues to hesitate during acceleration, brake not operating well and ticking under hood continues. multi-point inspection complete no problem detected. 10/12/13 ? recall notice received via usps. i immediately reported to the hollywood service department and tech performed recall #n38 on active head restraints?reprogrammed computers for all headrests. multi-point inspection performed car system running and battery strength is good. 11/01/13 ? car hesitating to start on occasions and front power outlet not working. multi point inspection performed computer diagnostic shows no codes. 11/25/13 ? car was towed on sunday, 11/24 because it would not start and power outlet blown again. multi point inspection performed, battery replaced and power outlet fuse replaced. the reason given was the glove compartment light switch was defective. this defective switch caused the light in the glove compartment to remain on therefore draining the battery. the battery passed prior inspections. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia

Purchased new from chrysler dealers lot in april 2012. when cleaning back seats with vacuum noticed frayed fabric on the seats were the stitching is, as if the stitches had severed the fabric and in just about every stitch on every seat same thing took it in to the dealership to have it assessed and was told they would contact chrysler and call me. i had to take the car back in for photos to be taken and it turned out they were not adequate (black interior) so i waited and waited and called to see what the hold up was and was told chrysler needed better pictures.went back to dealership and showed them exactly what the issue was and pushed on the seat to reveal that indeed there was frayed material.chrysler contacted the dealership and told them to get pictures without pushing on the seat, took it in again and had pictures taken and was told in the mean time the dealership was told by chrysler to get a quote from an upholsterer in regards to new front and back seats. i had to call the dealership once again after not hearing from them for an extended amount of time only to be told that chrysler is not going to replace the seats,there is nothing that can be done. *tr
