Another vehicle struck driver on side of consumer's car, and seatbelt behind passenger didn't hold ccs or child in place, seat flew backwards, and child landed on hands and knees. jack for changing tires also came out of compartment in back of truck. *ak
During an accident, 1998 chevrolet venture had defective air bags. purchased 1999 venture and after a couple thousand miles air bag light illuminated. dealer was notified and mechanic stated there was a malfunction with air bag sensors and wiring harness.*ak dealer replaced belt, safety front (buckle side). *tt
Consumer was having trouble finding a car seat that would fit into vehicle because of the design of seat belt buckles. service manager has tried several car seats from different manufacturers, and found that none were accessible to vehicle. manufacturer will be contacted to look into the problem further.*ak
Rear seat has a comfort guide that is used with the seatbelt to keep seatbelt from hitting child across the face or neck. this comfort guide has a piece of velcro that if child turns left or right it comes loose, so there's no protection at that time. consumer feels this is a safety concern because it should not release with a slight turn of a child. *ak
The center rear lap seatbelt is not long enough for a rear facing car seat. please provide further information and vin#.*ak
