My engine intermittently shuts off shortly after i start my car. sometimes it does not do this for 5 - 7 weeks in a row, but other times it does this several times in a week. most of the time it happens first thing in the morning, but sometimes it happens after work. it dies within 1/4 mile of being started -- generally while i'm still in a parking lot or just pulling onto the road. my car is parked outdoors and i live in a mild climate. weather does not appear to be a factor. i bought the car used. it has been doing this since shortly after i bought my car. i took it to the dealership, but they said that it didn't happen when they started the car and refused to look into it further. *tr
