When putting gas in my 2017 traverse, when i go to crank it, it's takes a while to start and then when it does start, it idles really high. sometimes if i'm at a complete stop, the engine just cuts off. tonight when i was driving to the store with my family, the engine cuts off while driving in the middle of the road. this is really scary because i live in atlanta, ga and often take the highway and i'm afraid the engine will shut off in the middle of driving. this is very dangerous. i've called chevy and i am waiting on a call back because i had to leave a voicemail. i looked for a recall and could not find any. this is very odd considering all of the people who are having the same issue.
While driving, my check engine light came on. also traction light came on, loss of power came on, and stability traction turned off. my speed reduced from 40 to 25. i shut the car off and now only the check engine light is on.
The timing chain needs to be replaced and is a known problem with chevrolet even though they have not done a recall. eats oil, ticks and my check engine light is on. my mechanic looked at it and said it was the timing chain. i don't have 3k to fix my car.
While driving i experienced 'traction control off'; 'service stabilitrac'; 'service traction control' and then the car went into 'reduced engine power. i was in traffic and had to quickly make an unsafe turn to avoid being rear-ended by the vehicle behind me. this has happened twice now.
Driving on the interstate going 75 mph when the traction control warning came on and engine shut down
My 2014 chevy traverse has been having this issue for months now. i will be driving and my service stabilitrak, traction control off, check engine light will light up, and engine power reduced will pop up. i can not go over 20 mph. at times the engine will become very stally, jerky, my steering wheel and brakes will be very hard to use. these are very random and non patterned i will have to safely pull over rather it be on a back road or a highway wherever it happens turn the engine off for 5-20 minutes and it will eventually clear everything but the check engine light; which will clear within that day or the next until the next time it happens. it has also cause my key to lock up in the ignition. this is very unsafe and scary. this is my family car and will eventually cause an accident and hurt myself, my kids, or someone else. if you google the issue there are tons of forums, websites, blogs that have the same issue with this car. i have spent numerous hours investigating the issue, lots of money replacing parts as recommended or by the check ...

My auto mechanic told me my power chain is loose & that it's common in my car & i should report it. my car feels like it's dragging when i try to accelerate.
2014 traverse will suddenly shut down and not move. flashes service stabilitrac, traction control off, reduced engine power. my vehicle has shut down multiple times including driving on the freeway with my two children in the car. after turning the car off and finally being able to turn it back on again, i am able to get the traction control to say on and to move my car. this last time the steering wheel locked up and my car wouldn't start for almost 10 minutes, with me and my children sitting in the middle of an intersection.
