Tl* the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet trailblazer. the contact stated the fuel gauge stopped functioning and displayed empty at all times. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and agreed to cover fifty percent of the repair cost. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 45,000. *tr

Gas gauge registers at start-up, but drops to empty within five minutes of starting while vehicle is running with no way to evaluate how much fuel is left in the tank. *tr

The fuel sending unit failed in the tank, it will not register the fuel level on the dash board gauge. *tr

The fuel gauge does not read properly. i reset my trip meter every time i get gas. so i now that when i hit 300 miles its time. when i fill up, the gauge goes all the way down past e, and once i hit about 50 miles on the trip meter, it resets itself and goes to the appropriate spot. i ran out of gas on the side of the highway because of this. if i can't afford to fill up the tank ($90) a pop, its a risk, and with 2 kids, its a big one. *tr

I was at the gas station fueling my trailblazer. after filling the vehicle i got in and started it up. the fuel hand went to the top of the gauge, as expected, and then went all the way to e. it has not functioned since. i have to use my trip mileage meter to gauge mileage so that i don't run out of gas on the interstate. our trailblazer is our primary family vehicle and it is dangerous not to know how much fuel is in your vehicle at any given time, especially since we have our small child with us most of the time. *tr
