2002 chevrolet trailblazer; vehicle was idling when i noticed a stream of fluid coming from underneath, near the middle. found it to be gasoline coming from the front end area of the gasoline tank. rate of leakage was about 1/4 gallon per minute. leakage stopped when vehicle was turned off. took to dealer - replaced leaking fuel sending unit.*ak
Service engine light continues to come on. has to be turned off my dealership. test run codes continue to show gas cap problem even after it has been replaced. *tr
I own a 2002 chevrolet trailblazer. when my vehicle had 62,509 mileage i parked the vehicle at a friend's house. the vehicle leaked a large puddle of fuel on his newly sealed driveway. when i took it in to service the fuel level sender was replaced because the inlet and/or outlet tubes on top of the fuel sender were corroded and leaking fuel. this was a premature failure since the design should have been validated to 100,000 miles +.*ak
2002 chevrolettrailblazer - automobile ran out of gas while fuel gauge still read 1/4 tank, no low fuel warnings came on. car shut down in the middle of traffic, automatic steering controll disabled and atomatic brakes disabled. near accident situation, coasted automobile off to side of road. no injuries.*ak
While driving 40 mph, the engine light illuminated, then the vehicle stalled. this caused the consumer to lose control of the vehicle, hitting a wall. the consumer had the vehicle towed. the dealership tried to repair the vehicle 7 times, but did not resolve the problem. the air bag also failed to deploy during the accident. *ak the pcm failed due to a circuit inside, fluid leaked from the power steering hose, the engine revved high and was loud when the vehicle was started, the consumer saw sparks under the hood fuse block at the same time the gauges fluctuated and shorted, the right rear tail lights were inoperative, and the fuel gauge made a whirring sound when the vehicle was started. *sc *jb *cb
