My vehicle idling is missing i ask dealer to check it when i recently had oil change. dealer reports bad motor mounts requiring motor and transmission removal. i have a new vehicle yet it needs major repair.
Periodicly, while driving in normal conditions, the radio will turn off, the instrument panel will blink, the door locks will repeatedly lock/unlock, transmission will feel like it is in neutral or the engine will completely turn off.
I purchased this vehicle used in the fall of 2019 at a used car dealers lot in oregon. in the summer of 2019 we started experiencing random no start problems. the first incidence we thought it was a faulty starter even though we could jump/short it across the terminal, and start the vehicle. after replacing the vehicles starter with a remanufactured non gm starter, we started having more no start problems. remedy was arcing the starter posts across one another, and then vehicle would crank and start. we had the vehicle inspected by a gm dealer, our local mechanic, and they stated it had to be "dead" in order to diagnose the problem. then a week later we had the car go into "anti-theft mode" while driving, and the speed and transmission slowed the vehicle nearly to a stop ,- all the lights started blinking, dic warning lights started flashing check stability, check blind side, check 4 wheel dr., ect... fortunately i was not far from home and parked the car in the driveway and shut it off. immediately i tried to re-start the vehicle and we had a ...
Brakes randomly started not working. a lot of resistance, unable to stop, unable to push brake to floor. finally got somewhere and parked after avoiding three accidents, vehicle had to be towed. brake booster is bad. this seems to be a common problem with the 2015 tahoe. why hasn't this been a recall????
Tl* the contact owned a 2015 chevrolet tahoe. the contact stated that while driving at various speeds the vehicle engine would cease. the cause of the failure has not yet been determined the contact was left stranded in the middle of the road and expressed concerns for his safety. the contact indicated that previously, the dashboard gauges had suddenly shut off and on occasions, the vehicle would not immediately start. the vehicle was towed to herb chambers chevrolet (90 andover st. danvers ma 01923). the manufacturer was not notified. the failure mileage was 96,000 .
Bad engine cuts off while driving. burn excessive oil and water. motor makes loud noises. brakes have to be changed every 2 months. grinding noises when you take your feet of the gas , sounds like a 18 wheeler breaking down to stop. now the engine won't turn over. replaced sensors and timing but still not cranking. so now it needs a motor. dashboard is cracked up so bad you can see inside to airbag. which sometimes gets extremely hot.

Driving on highway at night. go to high beams and motor immediately begins to rev up/down, and run erratic. switch beams to normal position=it stops. when depressing key fob to open and close doors, it only works frequently. bizarre electrical issue....
My 2007 chevrolet tahoe will sporadically display two m.i.l. 's - service traction control and service stabilitrak. i have spent close to $4,000 on different parts, as well as having the heads completely rebuilt about 5 months ago. the only trouble codes it shows when hooked to a scanner are a p0300 (generic misfire detected) p0301 (misfire cylinder 1) and 0443 (evap emission control system valve circuit). after several months of research online, it is blatantly obvious that there are several thousand people experiencing the exact same issues. it appears there is no direct surefire resolution. but rather a common occurrence that is sometimes very labor intensive and extremely invasive to track down the specific problem. i have replaced the brake light control switch, added a secondary backup battery as well as additional positive and negative cables, replace the plugs, plug wires and ignition coil packs. it seems to be a recurring issue and at this point i have as much money invested in repairing the vehicle as i have spent purchasing it. i am not the type of person to sell this truck and let's have the misfortune of dealing with such issues but after several thousand dollars ...
