When turning on the brights on my 2015 chevytahoe the dash screen will flash on and off, as well as shut off the cruise control when on. in addition, the stabilitrak will flash an error message. in addition to all of this the headlights flash while driving. at night this is very scary and harmful. these electrical issues need to be corrected!
Total strut failure at 58k miles; making car hard to maneuver. dealership wants $1900 to fix the mag ride suspension, no powertrain coverage at all for this issue. also, a bearing in the steering column has failed and there is no warranty coverage from that either.
While driving on the highway at high speeds, 70-80 mph, steering became extremely difficult for brief periods. often times it was immediately following actuation of the automatic window switch. it was accompanied with a lot of the loss of electrical power, a flickering control panel, abs light, stab trak, brake assist, and park assist warnings. a/c would stop, radio would turn off, the dashboard would flicker, then i would have to acknowledge all of the warnings in order to clear the issue. steering was tough, though controllable, but i question the ability of a less experienced drive to be able to handle the same problem at those speeds. this has happened before at lower speeds, usually while backing up to park. at lower speeds the suv would cut off completely. at higher speeds, the stall was recoverable, very fortunate in this matter. unable to get the issue to repeat at the dealership and it is very inconsistent. usually resets itself once the car is turned off and restarted.

When turning the wheels or backing up there is a popping noise that sounds like it is coming from the front left and right wheels and you can hear it and feel it in the steering wheel
While driving suspension system allows car to bounce badly, as if all shocks are not working, ltz model has mag ride active suspension. this problem is found to be common on 2015 tahoe and suburbans. many forums on web have reports of this system failure at low milage. my tahoe was purchased new and has only 71k miles, no collisions or accidents. all maintained ce performed as needed.
Vehicle randomly loses steering control and flashes warning lights. at times, xm radio will not play. at one time, vehicle shut off and would not resart for approximately 10 seconds. occasionally, the warning lights flash when making an adjustment like changing to bright lights or activating the turn signal. left turn signal disengages cruise when activated. gm has updated the software twice due to service over the above complaints. fixes problem for short amount of time.
On several occasions my care has given me a warning of stability rack issues and it will then just shut down. this has happened in the middle of turning into parking lots as well as backing into parking spots. i then have to roll down and up my driver side and passenger side windows before i can restart my vehicle.
At slow speeds the vehicle has shut off twice now, once in the middle of los angeles traffic almost causing us to wreck! we have taken it in for that and a popping in the stearing wheel and they told us nothing was wrong. it is a major safety hazard and would like to see something done about it!

Multiple issues effecting this vehicle, and the issues occur when stabilitrac issue and abs issue pops up on screen. a/c also stops blowing cold air, and speedometer reads zero while moving. the stabilitrac and abs issues first occurred multiple times starting in the early warranty period.the main concern is the power assist malfunctioning causing total loss of steering control. when power assist re-engages, the vehicle will jump in the direction the steering wheel is turned. this is a major safety issue. i repeat that these issues started to occur during the early warranty period in 2015. the dealer could not duplicate the issues. there are multiple posts on line concerning the problems with the 2015 tahoe, some actually causing accidents.
Power steering loss occurs with the error message on the dic "steering assist is reduced drive with care", and additional error message "service (stabilitrak)".

On may 31, 2018 i purchased a 2015 chevy tahoe ltz with 30,000miles that had been traded in at a local ford dealership. within days of purchasing it, the car began having issues with a stabilitrak warning followed by other erratic computer warnings. in following weeks the car also began having complete power failure at low speeds while turning and continues to have these problems to date. the engine also began smoking in july, caused, as it turns out, by a jammed belt on the air conditioner compressor. this vehicle has had many power failures in parking lots, on streets, the highway tunnel in boston and most recently on labor day weekend when the car stalled in charlestown, ri while slowing down at an intersection. i had no warning flashers or brake lights and the doors would not open. with the help of the local police dept. who assisted me until the car restarted, i was able to drive it to a local residence. the ford dealership sent a flatbed truck to tow it back to the facility where i purchased it. the dealership continues to return the car to me as it doesn't fail when they drive it due to its erratic nature, and service by several gm dealers they have sent it to have not been able to fix the problems either. i am stunned to learn that this vehicle is not on the recent recall list from gm regarding power steering issues at slow speeds. in a phone call to gm customer assistance on 9/21/18 (case number 8-4650063752) the representative confirmed that my vehicle was not on the list. i trust that by reporting these problems to you gm will be able to resolve this issue and insure my safety and those around me while driving. i appreciate your assistance and would be happy to provide any documentation i have available if requested. attached are pictures of the vehicle and the id plate from the side of the car.
Power steering failed instantaneously while driving in traffic while making a left turn at 15mph on a city intersection. luckily an accident was avoided. took the car to the dealership for a diagnosis. apparenly the steering motor has failed and in turn they recommend replacing the entire "steering gear" gm # 84368394 for $2250. called gm, they stated that the car is out of warranty and this failure is considered normal wear and tear. there is an existing recall for the 2015 tahoe model, but this vin is not included so they will not cover the repair. the recall referenced is, nhtsa campaign # 4v719, gm recall 14743,

My vehicle is having a problem much like that from recall number 14743 product safety - loss of electric power steering (eps). on several occasions the vehicle has lost power steering and the dealership is telling me that my suv is not covered under this warranty. i feel that the same safety concerns posed with recall 14743 apply in this situation with mine and i do not feel they are taking it seriously. also when this occurred i was on the highway the first time, the second time i was turning onto the street i live on, and most recently i was in the parking lot at target with my kids in the car with me. this last time i was actually about to turn into a parking spot when i lost power to the steering.

I am having an issue with my steering wheel. it started off as a fair click when turning left. with time it for progressively worse. took it to the dealership and after 3 days they stated my steering bearing was bad and replaced it. no sooner after picking up my car (still in the dealership parking lot) i notice the same clicking noise in my steering wheel. it's now been 3 whole days and no one in the service department can find the issue. they do admit to hearing and feeling the clicking in the steering wheel but reassure me the vehicle is safe to drive and i can come pick up my car and not to worry about the problem. i feel it is an unsafe vehicle for myself and my family to be in. can someone please advise me what to do. i refuse to pick up my car until the problem has been completely taken care of.

January 2016 i purchased a 2015 certified chevytahoe (vin [xxx]) from kuni chevrolet cadillac located 2449 fulton ave, sacramento, ca 95825. six months later i begin experiencing major issues with the vehicle.those issues includes the following: flickering of the head lights when using turning signals and or use of rolling up the car windows, the dash board completely powering off, the vehicle completely powering off, and the sterling wheel locking during any turns. please note that all these issues takes place while driving the vehicle at any speed. i have taken my car in multiple times for the same issues however, autonation chevrolet airport continues to state that there is nothing wrong with the vehicle. there have been multiple near fatal car accidents due to the issues with this vehicle. while driving through a green light, making a left turn the steering wheel locked up causing the car to spin in the middle of the intersection as i slammed on the brakes to which i was stuck in the intersections for approximately five mins until the locked wheel would unlock thus allowing me to move. another occasion took place while exiting off a high way ramp to which i slammed on breaks nearly causing other cars to rear end my vehicle. i have provided autonation chevrolet airport with video proof of the unsafe issues i am experiencing. i have taken the time to express in great detail to both the general manger [xxx] at autonation chevrolet airport and the following senior advisors at the gmc/chevrolet customer assistance cooperate office [xxx]. there have been multiple case numbers issued to address my concerns and the safety of this vehicle ([xxx]). i am seeking to get out of this unsafe vehicle. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
The steering makes a grinding noise when turning to the left and right. the dealership could not get it reproduced, but finally received a bulletin advising to replace the steering bearings. this was done yesterday and it still does it today. i've read other complaints for the same thing on the internet, some mentioning it is unsafe to drive. the dealership has agreed to contact their engineers for additional guidance. however, i'm concerned about my safety of this ongoing issue.

My wife and myself purchased a new chevrolet tahoe ltz in 2015. the first month the a/c had to be replaced, rac and pinion steering and rear shocks. the warranty covered the cost. 2016 of january the a/c started making noises and not cooilng, the front struts magnetic, ball joints and steering rack pinion went out. third occurrence was in 2017 december the front magnetic structs again. we have had problems with this new vehicle from the time we purchased it. the suspension is horrible and we later found out there are hundreds of others with the identitcal horrible suspension problem. this vehicle is presently at 62k mile and needs front end suspension replacement. the warranty do not cover pass three years. there should be a recall on this horrible general motors product. the vehicle is presently inoperable because of suspension problems and gm will not stand behind there product.
At a slow speed, <15 mph, on a rock paved residential road, steering abruptly snapped left. steering wheel then positioned 180 degrees away from normal. resulted in vehicle damage to rack/pinion, left wheel knuckle, loss of calibration of steering and back up camera. also resulted in injury, broken arm/wrist, of driver, requiring surgery and hospitalization....i have 3 pdf documents i'd like to send to you by email. my system, and your's, is not allowing me to upload....updated 10/29/15*bf

4th and most dangerous of 4 incidents in 3 weeks of ownership of 2015 chevy tahoe lt. without driver instruction or interference the 2015 tahoe shifted itself into 4wd despite dial on 2wd. steering difficult, car jerked, engine revved differently and trouble in reverse. no warning signals on display and i didn't know what was happening. drove .5 mi., pulled over restarted, and then "4 wheel drive, dismiss" on display over steering wheel (no seat vibration, flashing lights as with lane drifting). tried to "undismiss", consulted manual and ensured dial was in 2wd. cut ignition off, restarted, same light. test drove another 1 mi. to see if warning display malfunction...car jerked and steering as if non-power steering. called dealership (rick hendrick's city chevrolet, charlotte, nc) and svs tech had never heard of such an issue and consulted other techs (on hold 15 min). finally svs mgr said car unsafe to drive but to drive it home 'slowly" and they would tow to dealership and get me a loaner. svs mgr, on 3rd phone call after i threatened to notify ntsb, said he was calling a gm "program mgr" to see about my car's "dangerous issue". after the car rolled when ignition turned off (radio and dash lights off too) and it hit a dumpster b/c we had not put it in park, yet ignition still turned off (luckily no one hurt but significant paint damage), key fob wouldn't program seats/mirrors, mylink wouldn't pair to my phone and now to learn there is a recall for rolling b/c car shifts into neutral? i am still driving loaner, no word from svs mgr, i refuse to drive the car again and gsm said i'd have to go to gm direct for a "buy back". the 1-800-222-1020# he gave me useless). help! *tr
It started with a clicking sound when turning the steering wheel. i brought it to dealership and they changed entire steering column. a week later it made a clicking sound again on a hard turn. i called gm to ask about a buy back. i do not feel safe in that car with kids. then later the same day, i was backing out of sons little league game and steering column locked and displayed locked on information screen. i hit brakes and lock display disappeared so i shifted to park and then to back to reverse and steering column lock again display and lock. i then put car back into park and turned off. i turn car back on after a couple of minutes and it was working fine no more steering column lock display. i have a keyless start, loaded lt model that has all features of an ltz tahoe.
