During pursuit training a 2013 tahoe suffered a catastrophic failure of the wheel suspension assembly. this is the third identical incident in the past month. the other two vehicles were 2014 police pursuit tahoes. in all instances the front wheel assembly failed during a turn. the race or inner dust cover for the wheel bearing assembly separated. this resulted in the bearings coming loose, and the wheel subsequently folding under. in two instances the vehicle was in danger of a rollover situation. this occurred during emergency vehicle training at a regional academy and the vehicles belonged to two different police agencies. the two prior incidents involved vehicles with under 5000 miles. *tr
