Takata recall - still no fix for the issue! just checked with dealer today 10/24/17. airbags could deploy and cause damage to any member of our family at any given time, its very concerning!

Takata inflators. i was contacted several times over the past 2 years that my vehicle was part of the recall. everytime i have contacted the dealer i was told there was be remedy it this time. it seems that gm is holding out in performing the recall on a large amount of their consumers. this hasent been fixed in a timely manner. they have had plenty of time to prepare and complete the recall they are just dragging it out. my wife and i are now stuck with a vehicle that could possibly cause bodily harm or death. we can't even sell the vehicle because of the open recall and without gm fixing the recall people don't want to purchase a vehicle that could possibly kill them. i would like to see that gm is held accountable and perform the recall as soon 🔜 as possible. and if for some reason they can't perform the recall as soon as possible they should have to pay retribution to those that are affected by this recall. vehicles are very expensive and consumers work really hard to be able to purchase these vehicles. it is time to give the consumers that are affected by this recall something for their money.

I took my vehicle to dealer when the airbag service light came on. they checked and said my vehicle was not on the recall list. they charged me to repair the airbag. this happen with the passenger side first , then one month later the service light for the airbag came on again . they now stated it was for the drivers side. $822.00**

Takata recall - i have been checking on this for a year and a remedy is still not available. i was involved in an accident april 10 2017 and the tahoe sustained significant front and rear damage while stationary. i was hit from behind by a large truck and was then pushed into the car in front of me. no airbags deployed.

Takata air bag recall gm recall 49151 received first letter on safety recall july 2016 called local dealer john roley service, levelland, tx. on 7/29/16 was told should receive second letter. nothing! called again 10/14/16. when parts arrive to dealer, someday may be fixed? today is 12/14/16, and still nothing.
Takata recall on my vehicle - why is taking so long to remedy this recall? i also have a few other issues i want to mention. i bought my tahoe in july 2016, my dash is cracking on the driver's side and from what i've read, this is very common and gm is ignoring the issue. my vehicle also started taking off on its own, took extra pressure to stop & rpm would fluctuate sporadically. after contacting a dealer, i was told there was campaign to replace the throttle body sensor but it had expired while the previous owner had possession and was told i'd have to pay for the repair and would possibly have to replace the throttle body. after replacing the sensor, my vehicle's rpm still fluctuates upon stopping and idle is rough. very upset chevrolet customer now.

Multiple dash cracks around steering column and more concernedly around passenger air bag. this is separate from the airbag recall that currently exists. the dash being cracked around this particular point would cause vinyl shrapnel to be sent throughout the cabin of the vehicle presenting a serious safety hazard. this is the only place on the vehicle these cracks are happening even though much of the interior is finished with this same type of vinyl. *tr

I already have a potential air bag recall #49152 that has not been resolved. additionally, i have had a cracked dashboard that cost 1,500.00 to repair, which i can't afford. my power folding mirrors have stopped working numerous times and now can not be fixed under warranty anymore. my radio had to be completely replaced. my vehicle has 29,550, and is a piece of junk. the roof is rusting out. g.m. went bankrupt in 2008, which stopped the lease process. i got stuck with this vehicle and have been fearful of driving it. the low mileage reflects it. when will you as a government agency intercede and tell gm to make good on there defective products. no one cares, except the people that get rich selling these garbage vehicles!!! what are you waiting for someone to get a piece of cracked dashboard in there eye or worse, die in an accident caused by plastic flying into the drivers face. there are tons of complaints!!! just google it and watch the different news channels coverage of this massive defect. total disrespect of the customers/owners on from general motors. maybe next time they shouldn't get a government bailout, from my6 hard earned tax dollars!!!!

The dash has severely cracked in numerous places including near the passenger air bag which i fear could create shrapnel if involved in a collision and the airbag inflates. this has gradually worsened over time.

Back in july 2016 i received a letter from gm stating that my tahoe vin is on the recall list for airbag inflators, ( gm recall 49151) until this date february 27 2017 they have not resolve the issue yet. my wife and my kids are in this vehicle almost everyday, i am afraid that something bad will happen to them regarding this unsolved recall.

The gm dealership will not replace my airbag (gm recall49151) gm customer service tells me that nhtsa has not determined that there is a safety issue with gm vehicles. my recall letter is date 2016 and nothing has been repaired. why is the nhtsa taking so long to resolve this issue with gm? my non gm airbags have already been replaced.
Takata recall - our vehicle had a recall on 07/06/2016,we went to renew registration at dmv and they would not give of tags to place on plate due to airbag recall. i had to get a temporary red card for vehicle which eventually would expire. since august 2016 every other month i called puente hills dealer and chevrolet customer assistance center to get vehicle serviced. either one had information as when the parts would be available for repairs. it is now 04/04/2017 and still no parts and no tags for my vehicle. last night i got pulled over for no tags. i provided receipt of payment for registration and all documents on recall and temporary registration, the officer was nice enough to let me go. he did mention vehicle can be towed away. i called puente hills chevrolet dealership this morning to schedule service for recall and rene rodriguez told me parts are not available and that they have not been able to fix any vehicles on this recall due to no parts since the recall notice 07/2016. i also spoke to customer service and they were not able to help me. they would like me to get in writing from dmv why i can not get my tags.
