The driver seat belt unlocks while driving and sometimes takes several tries to latch. doesn't matter what type of road or driving this happens daily.

My drivers seat belt will only latch once in a while. it does not matter if it is running or not nor does it matter weather it is moving or not.

After buckling the safety belt on the drivers side , my wife and i tug on the latch several times to make sure it is engaged. while driving the seatbelt latch will become disengaged by its self. this has happened on many occasions and seams to increase in frequency while driving on a bumpy road. i called the 800-630-2438 for chevy recalls but the man in the philippians did not act like he was interested in what i had to say. he did give me a case number of 8-2177870626. i did tell him that i would be filing a safety report. i would guess the manufacture used cheep plastic parts where a sturdy metal part should have been used. with this latch opening while driving then how is it going to protect the occupants during an accident?

Takata recall airbag light is on. my 07 chevy tahoe burns 1 quart of oil every 1000-1500 miles? dealer told me this is "normal"?????? it is not normal for any vehicle to burn this much oil in such little time!! chevy won't correct these problems! there are thousands of people with same troubles. yet still no recall?????

On thursday may 19th at 8:35 pm, while i was driving home on i-696w when my driver's seatbelt belt disengaged and retracted on its own. while driving, i immediately try to reconnect the belt into the buckle, but it would not go in. i made several attempts to reconnect. i finally was able to get it into the buckle. when i arrived home in my garage and preceded to get out, the seatbelt would not come out. i had to struggle and pull on the seatbelt several times while trying to push the buckle release button. after 10 minutes, i was free. the next morning (5/20/16) while going to work, the seatbelt came out again. it would go in and if i moved forward, the belt would disengage. my seatbelt continued to slip out of the buckle. as of may 23rd, my seatbelt will not even go into the buckle. i cannot engage the driver's seatbelt at all!! these seatbelts should not be defective and should last the vehicle life.

The passenger seatbelt latch will not catch.

Driver's seat belt does not lock into the receptive device. 2nd row seat belt "tore" when pulled to fasten. electrical issue causing speaker and microphone to become inaudible therefore preventing communication with onstar in the event of a crash, nor alerting driver of vehicle standard safety alerts (low gas, open door indicator, tire pressure indicator, etc.).

Driver seat belt not locking

Vehicle #1 (my 2007 tahoe lt3) was traveling north on hwy 278 in powder springs, ga. vehicle 2 (toyota 4runner) was traveling south. vehicle 2 crossed center line and went into a spin crashing into the door and right front wheel and fender which propelled/launched my 2007 tahoe across one lane of traffic into the guard rail striking the guard rail with my passenger front fender and bumper. my tahoe was totaled by insurance. onstar which i have paid for since 2007 did not register the crash and my air bags did not deploy. i suffered severe whiplash from being hit in the driver side then an second impact as i hit the guard rail. my seat belts protected me from the driver side impact; however, because my right shoulder and side of my body thrown across the tahoe console for the impact of the guard rail, i suffered injuries to the right side of my body as well. the left impact and then the right side impact caused severe whiplash and ensuing headaches. *tr

The driver seat belt latch broke small plastic pieces could be seen inside with a flashlight preventing the seat belt from latching. i had to drive home from work (20 miles) without wearing a seatbelt. *tr

I was traveling on a state highway to an event. this was the second day of the event, so i had traveled the same road the day prior. i slowed to cross railroad tracks. while crossing the tracks, the front and middle side airbags deployed on both the driver's and passenger's sides. the force of the deployment also cracked areas around the interior walls and blew out the rear overhead light. i am not sure exactly what, but something struck me on the top of my head at the time of the deployment. fortunately, i had slowed to cross the tracks or there could have been a different outcome. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet tahoe. the front driver side seat belt retractor jammed when the contact attempted to place on the belt. the failure existed until the vehicle was driven 50 miles. also, when attempting to lean forward, the belt would jam. the failure occurred intermittently. the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. the current mileage is 10,500 and failure mileage was 5,000. the consumer stated when riding over a bump the belt would release. the consumer stated showed the defect to the dealer and seatbelt was replaced. updated 09/05/07 *tr
