Tl* the contact owns a 2002 chevrolet tahoe. the contact stated that while driving approximately 40 mph, the headlights suddenly failed to illuminate. the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the ignition switch was faulty and malfunctioned. the ignition switch was replaced and the failure was remedied. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 175,000.

Dt: the contact stated that on 2002 chevrolet tahoe the daytime running lights on the driver's side burned out, and when he went to replace them the light bulb and the socket were charred. he noticed this on 7-19-05. he hasn't talked to the dealer or the manufacturer but plans on doing so. this was the first time this happened.*ak

Day running lights on vehicle burned out - upon changing the light bulb found that the light bulb and the light socket had burned - like it caught on fire - clear lens cover is smoked up.
