2014 chevrolet ss. consumer writes in regards to seat belt replacement part to repair vehicle damaged old model seat belt not available. recall 16v-518 new seat belt replacement part not yet available. *smd the consumer stated the seat belt was clearly and obviously showing dangerous wear. the dealer informed the consumer, they would replace the seat belt with the same type of seat belt, because the safe replacement was not available. when the consumer arrived at the dealer for her schedule appointment, she was informed the part was not available and the service advisor was trying to discourage her from getting the temporary seat belt replacement. the consumer informed the consumer, the mechanic looked at the seat belt and stated it was fine. the service advisor finally agreed there was wear on the set belt, but the part would have to be ordered. *jb
