We were traveling east on i-90 in mass. traffic came to a sudden stop. when the brakes were applied the truck began to slow and then the brake pedal went to the floor. upon investigation after the crash we found at least two badly corroded brake lines that had burst.*jb
Depressed brake pedal while hooking to trailer preparing to haul farm equipment. the pedal went to the floor and i found fluid running down the frame of the truck checked lines and found burst line and all lines looked terribly rusted/rotten. this could have been classified as a near miss since i was on a gravel hillside and had i been hooked to the trailer i would have had a vehicle totally out of control merging into traffic. *tr
While driving the brakes completely failed with no warning. the pedal went to the floor and just kept going into the rear of the car in front of me. i was traveling about 25mph the front bumper has to replaced. no air bag deployment. *tr
2003 chevy silerado tailgate pops open, hard to close and has been fixed 3 times. this is an acciendent waiting to happen because cargo can fall out of the bed. i spoke with others and they have reported the same. *tr
Body and under body rust and rot to include frame, brake lines and shock mounts. brake lines failed while i was driving, thankfully at slow speeds and was able to activate the emergency brake.
Rusted out brake lines with subsequent loss of brakes. this is the second time the brake lines failed. lines were replaced. damaged lines were saved and are available for inspection. dimmitt chevrolet and general motors customer assistant center refused to investigate this problem! *tr
Replacement of the faulty tail gate on the 2003 chevrolet c2500. *mr gm led the consumer to believe that the tailgate he replaced was going to be replaced by them with the original parts if the dealer agreed the problem was said to be caused by the tailgate cables. *sc *jb
