Purchased the truck from car geeks and they said it was a great truck and we would have no problem towing our fifth wheel trailer. well we took it on a trip to phoenix from tucson and we noticed that the truck was not handling very well when we got home i noticed that the passenger side tire was gouged out all the way around the inside bead of the tire also noticed that only the upper control arm had been replaced and nothing else. all of the front suspension was in really bad condition also. along with the steering you can only turn the steering wheel a little ways

4 rugged terrain t/a lt265/75r-16 purchased at odometer 91681. tires rotated at 100955. following happened while highway driving. on 8/19/2015, odometer 109831, vehicle vibrating, found bubble (tread separation) on left rear tire. tire was replaced under warranty. on 8/4/2017, odometer 121840, vehicle vibrating, found bubble (tread separation) on right rear tire. have not taken tire to dealer yet. front tires seem to be "singing" with a "rhythm" (best i can explain). i'm having all checked out today. i don't trust these tires anymore.

Right side wheel bearing assembly totally shot with less than 57,000 miles on truck. *tr

Body and under body rust and rot to include frame, brake lines and shock mounts. brake lines failed while i was driving, thankfully at slow speeds and was able to activate the emergency brake.

I was driving down a switchback and the right front 1/2 of the axel and wheel (tire and rim) separated, leaving me riding on the right tie-rod and bumper. the axel and tire/rim bounced off the hood and slammed down the right side of the truck taking out all the glass and damaging the roof and side. i parked it by the side of the road by pushing the emergency break, if i had pushed the main break i would have been in the left lane and over the side of the mountain. the linkage between the right and left sides failed according to the chevrolet dealership. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2003 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd. while driving at any speed, the brake pedal would pulsate. the dealer stated that all of the brakes, abs sensors, front and rear rotors, and front wheel bearings needed to be replaced. in addition, the brake line and transmission needed to be flushed. the current mileage was 36,400 and failure mileage was 35,700.

My chevrolet 2500hd began making noise from the front end at 67,500 miles. the right front wheel bearing assembly failed, there was no accident involved. the worn assembly is available for inspection. according to the repair shop this a quite common failure in the 2500hd. had this been a catastrophic failure at highway speeds, the results very well could have been insurmountable. the assembly contains non grease sealed bearings that should not fail at this rate. *jb

Tl *- the contact stated that while making a right turn he heard a cracking noise in his vehicle. while checking his vehicle he noticed a lot of grease coming out of the right front wheel. the same day the contact took the vehicle to a mechanic (not a dealership) and the mechanic stated that the problem was with his lower ball joint. that opinion, he then contacted the manufacture and they advised him to take the vehicle to a certified dealer and get a diagnosis on vehicle. when he took it to his local dealership on 12-02-06 they stated that the right front axle joint was damage. as well as this problem the contact experience a problem with the speedometer on 11-26-06. the speedometer was not working properly, the speedometer does not move when accelerating. the contact has also stated that he has a copy of the diagnosis.

Tl*the contact owns a 2003 chevrolet c/k 2500. while driving 20 mph, the entire front driver side of his vehicle collapsed. the rim, tire, and wheel detached from the vehicle. the contact believed that the failure was caused by the lower ball joint. the vehicle was destroyed. the contact sustained a broken nose and pain in the shoulder. a police report was filed. the vin and purchase date were unknown. the current and failure mileages were 17,000.

Tl*the contact observed that the right front wheel bearing on the 2003 chevrolet silverado 2500 hd was damaged. the dealer replaced the right front hub assembly. after 2 years the failure recurred on both wheels. the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure mileage was 15000. the current mileage was 26000. *ak

I bought a new 2003 chevy express cargo van (2500) in 2003.when this vehicle is under load, traveling on roads with six/seven percent downhill grades, the front end shakes violently. simply tapping the brakes will not bring it under control, you have to literally slam on the brakes,or take the risk of being tossed off the highway.the vehicle has never been stressed in any way (wrecks, hitting curbs, etc) the dealer is unable to determine the problem. i want a dealership to take it,with me,to a road of my above description and find this problem and fix it. i am positive i am not the only person with this model van, with this problem. i have come very close to eternity in this van because of this malfunction.i have not driven the van in three months because of anxiety with the problem. dying in a chevy van because of something like this is no part of what i want in my future.
