Several of my exhaust manifold bolt heads broke off even though they have never been removed causing hot exhaust to leak out igniting some electrical wiring. my mechanic told me this is a very common problem with gm v8's. *js
1999 chevy k2500 failed to start due to the factory passlock/antitheft device...this caused a missed day of work..this same problem has taken place on 2 previouse dates...the problem clears after a undetermined amount of time "usually 15min-1/2hour" the system resets itself...this could have been a more seriouse problem had i needed to drive to a hospital or other emergency situation that may be un-foreseen
