I was driving down the road, gave it gas to go around a vehicle and it felt like the vehicle shut down. esc caution, check engine light, and brake warning/caution all illuminated. vehicle began to slow down drastically and if i hadn't gotten off the road quickly i would have been hit. if i had been turning into traffic from a stop and that happened i would have been hit. pulled the vehicle over, turned it completely off, removed the key, restarted the vehicle and everything went away except the check engine light. headed to the dealership and again i gave it some gas and it did it again. pulled over, turned off/on and same results, everything cleared but check engine light. if this were to happen on the interstate this could cause a major incident. i was on a city street on both occasions. i had to nurse the gas pedal returning to the dealership which was about 7 miles from the initial incident. the vehicle is a 2020 chevy silverado 1500 with the 2.7l turbo engine.
Tl* the contact owned a 2018 chevrolet silverado. while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied at the contact's resident, the vehicle spontaneously caught fire without warning or impact. a police report was filed. the fire department was called to the scene and extinguished the fire. there were no reported injuries. the contact called j.b.a. chevrolet (7327 ritchie hwy, glen burnie, md 21061) but vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the vehicle was destroyed. the manufacturer was contacted as the contact was awaiting a call back. the failure mileage was 22,000.

Its a brand new pickup track when i got it after one year a issue came up with caramel looks like leaking under the truck, radiator coolant got mix with engine oil. no warning light , engine might overheat or engine might lockup. the dealer replaced the radiator and just flush the line. i heard so many complaint about this issue. but never heard any recalled.
2014 silverado 1500 quality issues my 2014 silverado 1500 needs a new $1,840 radiator/oil cooler. the truck has 48,000 miles purchased new 5+ years ago, so it exceeds the 5 year warranty period. at my last 5,000 mile oil change, the oil was found to be 2 quarts low with oil in the coolant. gm has refused (twice) to assist in the cost of repairs because i did not use a gm auto service for my oil changes. i had the oil changed every 5,000 miles with durablend by an independent quick oil change service, a mileage that exceeds the gm 7,500 mileage recommendation. i explained to gm ceo mary bara that i was upset with this decision - a truck with 48,000 miles should not have this problem and that gm is not assuming responsibility for its quality problems. i further advised that i would share my experience with others. less than six months ago the brake booster pump had to be replaced - but luckily it was under warranty. the truck has had multiple recalls. now the gm service department is charging me ...
On january 22, 2020 i started the vehicle with using the mychevrolet phone app. i got into the truck and pushed the ignition button. the following three warnings appeared on the instrument panel: 1) brake system failure 62 mph top speed, 2)service trailer brake system, 3) service esc abs, brake, traction control, and check engine lights illuminated. i turned the vehicle off and turned it back on again using the ignition button and all warnings and lights cleared except the check engine remained illuminated. the vehicle was parked when all of this happened. i received an email from onstar reporting that an issue with the antilock braking system was detected. this vehicle had just been into the dealer the prior week to fix one recall associated with the battery cable, and two other recalls associated with the brakes.
While driving on a highway stabilitrack turns off then few seconds later traction control turns off then i get either a cylinder misfire or throttle body code. truck then goes into reduced power mode with rough idle. i can clear the codes with obd reader and it runs fine for a while.
At 44,000 miles the oil pan leaked. took it to chevy dealership, had it fixed. i have 47000 miles on it now. same issue happened, took it to chevy dealership, the dealership said it was the oil pan and has to order a whole new oil pan. then the dealership calls me back and tells me i have bad oil cooling lines, but wants me to pay for it. no way, sorry. chevy needs to stop making cheap junk. truck is 3 yrs old and less then 50k miles. i have had a few other issues with this truck in the 3 yrs time. oil cooling lines keeps the oil inside the engine from getting to hot. it can be a hazard for the lines to leak and or the oil to get to hot and ruin the engine causing major issues with putting builds all over the highways. oil cooling lines should be included in a powertrain warranty and not bumper to bumper. something like these oil cooling lines only last for 3 yrs should or less than 50k miles is uncalled for and should be replaced under a recall! period! chevy and gm has went the cheap route ...
It happens intermittently.. as i slow up to a speed under 10 miles an hour, as soon as i turn the steering wheel, the vehicle will lose power, either turning off and on fast the dash will lose power but the motor will still be running... sherry this happens, the steering feels like theres resistance turning and the only way to fix it is to turn off the vehicle and let it sit. other times it will happen and the vehicle will lose total power,almost like i removed the key but the vehicle will still be rolling. the steering wheel has locked twice all while the vehicle is still in motion as well and brakes are non functioning. its happened several times going through intersections, pulling into my driveway, and u turns. it never happens in reverse. ill never own a chevy again...
It had a problem with the motor, at 50000 we bought it brand new. dealer said it was a problem with some gaskets inside motor.
