It had a problem with the motor, at 50000 we bought it brand new. dealer said it was a problem with some gaskets inside motor.
Afm activated ,lifter failure occurred. engine cel blinks erratic engine behavior sudden loss of power and braking. transmission starts shifting in and out of gears high low, severe bucking, high engine revving, cylinder misfire. hard to stop very slow acceleration due to transmission in wrong gear and loss of power due to collapsed lifter. this is a major problem that gm is well aware of my 2007 monte carlo had same issue 8 years later the problem still exists. the vehicle is still under warranty and im sure they will cover the lifter all lifters should be replaced. and afm should be disabled.

My truck engine started shaking really bad out of nowhere as i was driving on the freeway i immediately exit the freeway because the truck felt like it was force to drive and the shaking never went away. the light for the engine on the dash board starting turning on and off as i drove the truck slowy out of the freeway. the engine light had never turn on before this incident . i took my truck immediately to firestone, that's where i do all my truck services. they run some test to see what could be the problem and determine what they needed to do to fix it. after inspecting my truck they found that my engine had a issues an it need it to be either fix or replace. they ask to to take it to the dealership where i purchase my new truck at the time that i bought it and to explain to them that the engine was bad and they need it to check the problem because their is a tbs in this particular engine and it could be one of the defective engines that were made dtc p050d and p0300 are the codes. reference #pip5498k. but if though i had that information to the. dealership service technician he ignored that an told me that i order for them to look at my truck for that problem that i needed to pay for the services that was $2500. i explain to him that it could be a defective engine from them but he did not care about that because i was over my warranty coverage so in order for them to inspect it i had to pay. and didn't want to help me.

My truck is 3 years old i was driving my vehicle in florida and my air conditioner went out. the dealership stated the part was made poorly and my children that are 2 and 6 months had to drive in the heat with no air due to it going out and them not being able to fix in 48 hours.
The weld on the air conditioning condeser has broken on the drivers side. this is causing the freon to leak out of the vehicle. this causes extremely high temperatures in the vehicle, and also causes the windows to fog up.
My truck has a stuck lifter
While driving slow and making a hard left turn everything flashes off 0n dash ,then on, on dash, but engine shuts off causing steering and braking safety concerns, this has happened three times in last two week took it to dealership they couldn't
Bad lifter causes engine failure at 100,006 miles. engine had to be replaced. transmission has extremely hard shifts from park to reverse, and slips between 5th and 6th. doesn't throw any codes so dealer says it's fine.but it's obviously ruining itself. reading all these transmissions complaints i can't believe it's not recalled
Transmission experiences a shudder that cycles every 3 seconds. the torque converter had been replaced but after 45000 miles it has returned. dealer has recommended a new type of transmission fluid replacement. also had a afm lifter that collapsed and was replaced.
Hello just wanted share this about my 2015 chevrolet silverado my started making a strange knock sound sqealing noise on engine so took it to chevrolet dealer to have it ckecked out they called me and told that it had exhaust manifold bolts broke off in engine block it will cost $4000 dollars to repair i feel that is a gm manufacture issue even my extended warranty will not cover this problem i feel that shouldn't pay someone needs to investigate why these bolts broke off

Was driving on freeway, was changing lanes so i stepped on the gas to switch lanes and then check engine started flashing and stabilitrak active light came on. slowed down and felt the truck with some unusual shaking, when i got off the freeway and into the street as soon as i stopped it felt like the engine wanted to shut off but it did not, truck was shaking at every stop i made. check engine light is still on and stabilitrak active light on
Engine power reduced error pops up and and basically kills any ability to accelerate. this has happened multiple times including twice at interstate speed and few times under 45mph. if this were to happen while crossing an intersection, railroad, etc., the vehicle would be a sitting duck.
While slowing down to make a turn, usually always using turn signal, my truck will completely shut down in the middle of the intersection with no warning. the engine shuts down and all electrical is lost. luckily i haven't been hit by another vehicle while trying to restart my truck in the middle of the intersection had to jump out car so i wasn't in side if hit finally cars stop honking i jumped back in and started up again i was scared had my children with me
A/c condensor leaks and a/c stops working this happens just after the manufacture warranty expires my truck ac stop working at 37,688
Air condition coil leak which is a common problem but no recall on silverado, but on tahoe. this is the same part and same issue, so why is there not a recall on the silverado? i would like credit for the $1300 replacement cost i paid.
While parked over night in the garage the sabilitrak light was on and service trailer system. truck wouldn't start so i jump stared he truck. that worked twice though out the day and on my last drive while i was reversing the steering wheel was pulled from my hand and the 'stabilitrak' light came on! finally while parked before my truck engine wouldn't turn over the 'stabilitrak' light came on again and 'service trailer system' i've never used my trailer system. my truck wouldn't even turn over 'crank'. i had to tow my truck home and i'm just happy that the steering wheel wasn't pulled from my hand with my two kids with me in the road!

Coolant level drops in reservoir. strong smell of coolant coming from engine compartment. periodically a white cloud emits from under hood outwards from front of vehicle. service center has preformed pressure test, dye test with no findings. orange discoloration on hood liner above reservoir cap. have replaced cap. still coolant level dropping. (not severe but slight)
Fuel injectors causing cylinder misfire - this issue can be very hazardous to the safety of driver and others. first noticed on highway going straight. then again next morning, vehicle would not start. the date occurred is not exact, but close.
There is a rough idle. i have toke the truck to the dealership they have said there is nothing wrong. it has a hard start during cold weather
Takata recall-i was in a wreck 12-24-2017 and i was hit from behind. the bed of my truck was hit so hard by a distracted driver while i was at a stop light, that it twisted up and hit the cab of the truck. my airbags never deployed and my seatbelt never locked up. i am severely injured and am still seeking treatment for my injuries. it was over $11,000 in damages. the truck now down shifts and it sounds likie the bottom is dropping out. it also shakes when at highway speed.
L86 engine goes through 1 quart of oil every 5000 miles. the truck only has 10k miles. it has used oil since day one.
Air bag deployment

So many problems with it. chevy went from offering to lemon law it out to sitting back waiting on an intel to finish killing me. they sabotaged truck or its a horrible problem. air bags did not deploy at 45 mpg fron tend collission. i could have died. they dont care. 1 year later, no one came to look at it. they delay me day ater day
Transmission problems. when reversing up a driveway the truck will stall as the gas is pressed it will rev up but not go anywhere, then jump into reverse as if the petal was floored. also some times when entering the highway the transmission doesn't shift into the correct gears also jumping into gear which could cause accidents.
Please see attached documents pertaining to vibration issues, emergency brake cable being cut and u-joints oozing grease. also have numerous videos on the vibration issues like many others.
Service# pip4112q 2015 chevrolet silverado. 10,000 miles. during acceleration at low speeds while turning or changing lanes vehicle hesitates and sag. result of torque management. safety concern with turning into traffic. manufacturer states working as designed and failing to respond with repair/recall.
The engine has a ticking noise like a lifter out of adjustment. i'm told this is normal its a ticking fuel pump for the fuel injectors. i think gm is better than that and can figure out how to quite it down. if there engineers can't figure it gm should consider finding some that can! the next time i buy a gm product it will need to be quite if not i'll brake a family tradition for 80 years and buy another brand.
So due to known issues with the yolk on the differential, the lag in the transmission shift and engine communication leads to extreme vibration at highway speeds and clunking and jerking while driving around town. so when the transmission shifts there is a delay in the motor recognizing it so it revs up some so when the transmission finally finds the gear it causes it to kick. and since the yolk has play in it, it causes the differential to clunk as the rotation of the driveshaft catches up at a quicker rate. which leads to more looseness in the yoke and creates a wobble in the driveshaft. and an unsettling sound while driving around.
