Dealer states that parts for two critical recalls on our 2014 chevrolet silverado will takes months to receive before an appointment can be made repair. our vehicle was purchased specifically for towing our travel trailer. the two recalls involve rear braking system and two hitch weld breakage causing the trailer to break away from the vehicle. what is the resolution to have dealers provided in a timely manner the parts necessary to complete repairs. we cannot use our vehicle for months now due to these issues?

When backup it sound like something is loose in the rear end. the local mechanic shop corrected the problem by lubricating the spring leafs. indicated there may be some sort of padding between leafs that may be missing. lubrication solved problem for awhile. noise is back again.

Vehicle vibrates at highway speeds, to the point that it does not feel safe. it is especially strong at approximately 74 mph. i have taken it to my chevrolet dealer four times and the problem is not resolved. the dealer replaced all four tires, match balanced the tires three times, and turned the brake rotors. the service manager informed me that the vibration is due to the new suspension design. i found a gm bulletin, #pi1354c, that outlines a specific procedure to diagnose the issue. however, the dealer did not follow it.

When turning my truck left or right, there is a clunking/popping noise coming from under the truck (maybe from the front end). chevy dealership in portland,tx confirmed the noise but could not find the origin of the noise. so the service manager stopped work and said that they were chasing a "ghost". so i spoke with the owner and he did nothing to help me and advice me to take my truck to another dealer for repair. this problem and many others have been occurring so i am not buying another chevy in my life, thanks gm for producing another screwed up vehicle.

Since about 15000-18000 miles this truck vibrates at most speeds, most noticeable at 65 mph and over. it is at the dealer for the second time. the first time all they did was balance the tires, but the problem didn't go away. the dealer is still scratching their heads on this. the loaner 2015 i have is worse and vibrates at all speeds.....

When truck reaches speed of 70 mph or higher there is a vibration in the steering. it feels like the left front wheel has problems. dealer balanced the tires and said it fixed the problem. the problem has not gone away. *tr

When driving truck on interstate i notice a vibration in the front steering and wheels once the truck goes over 65 miles per hour. this was doing it just after 1000 miles.. when the rotated tires when truck was serviced . the issue is still there

Bought a new 2014 chevy pickup with four (4) miles on it and it has a vibration that the dealer can not repair (3) times it now has 736 miles mostly put on by the dealer. the more i drive it the worse it gets, gm & chevrolet motor division have been no help! *js

Truck has a vibration in the steering wheel and seats. the dealership has attempted fixes but the issue still persists to this day.

This truck was purchased at 8 pm on 9/22/2014. when driving on 9/25/2014, the truck vibrated as though i was driving over rumble strips at approximately 40 mph, 55-75 mph. in hi-2 mode in drive, the transmission did not shift smoothly, shifting with a mild clunk at lower gears. we called the dealership and described the issues to a service person and made an appointment to bring the truck in for service on 9/29/2014. the dealer stated that the problems were probably due to alignment issues. on 9/28/2014, i drove the truck and experienced the same shifting and vibration issues. i pulled off the freeway near my destination and stopped at a light. when i attempted to accelerate from the stop, the truck would not move and "revved". it had switched into neutral without any input from me. the transmission shift lever still indicated that i was in drive mode. i drifted into the intersection, unable to get the truck to move. i was able to shift into park, then neutral, and then drive. the truck began to drive and then i felt a strong "thunk" that felt as though i had been rear-ended by a car going at least 25 mph. the truck then drove normally for approximately 150 feet. i had to stop at the light on the other side of the underpass and the same thing happened again, leaving me drifting into an intersection. i was again able to get the truck going after a minute or so, with the same strong "thunk". i called onstar to have the truck towed to the dealership because it is unsafe to drive. on the four other days that we have owned this truck, it was driven only a few miles each day, at low speeds. i am extremely concerned. the truck is unsafe to drive and has less than 300 miles on it. additionally, some of the issues i have experienced are similar to those addressed by a recall, but this truck's vin is not listed in the recall. *tr

The vehicle was purchased on august 27th 2014 and had a bad vibration on the drive home. it has a wobble sensation at 35-45 mph felt strongest at 43 mph that feels like it has a bent wheel but it doesnt. when you get to 65-70 mph there is a strong vibration from the truck felt strongest at 68 mph and it only occurs on smooth level roads and even changing lanes does not change the vibration at all so it is not related to the road conditions other then being flat and smooth. the dealer has made five unsuccessful attempts to fix it already and cannot find the problem and cannot fix the problem and has refused to try to fix it anymore. after researching this issue i have found that one out of five gm trucks (chevy & gmc) have this same issue even though there are not many people reporting this yet. do not buy or let anyone you know buy a chevy & gmc truck in the 2014 or 2015 years, 1 in 5 are lemons the vibrations are so bad that it will make you car sick after a few miles and can aggravate existing conditions such as people with back issues. this problem also greatly reduces the trade-in or resale value of the vehicle and will make selling it yourself very problematic if not impossible. if you look on youtube you will see people are starting to post some videos to show this vibration problem. *tr

When the truck reaches a speed over 35 mph the steering wheel, the seat, and the entire truck has a vibration. i live in east tennessee. i purchased the truck in georgia. it is about a three hour drive from where i purchased the truck to my home. on the drive home i noticed the vibration right away. i thought it may be a tire balance issue so i continued the trip home. the next day i talked with the local dealer and was informed i need 500 miles on the truck before they will work a vibration issue. when i took the truck for service a few days later i was informed that several trucks have this same issue and gm does not know what to do about the issue. the dealer balanced the tires and told me that is all they can do about the vibration. through searching the internet and talking with other dealers i have found that may parts have been replaced with no help. drive shafts, axle shafts, wheels and tires have been replaced and rear ends have been rebuilt. nothing seems to help. most dealers have worked this issue on several trucks. if this vibration is coming from any part of the drive train or suspension and the part has a catastrophic failure it can cause serious injury or possibly death. *tr

Vehicle vibrates at highway speed. gm acknowledges that this/there is an engineering issue with this vehicle and that there is no recommended fix. having said that, they advise the vehicle is performing "as designed." because the vehicle is poorly designed and poorly engineered, then poor performance is expected. the dealership will not attempt repairs, so i'm stuck with the vehicle s is. the problem is, and you know this, there are many, many complaints of this issue, and neither you nor the manufacturer will do anything about it. worse, they (chevrolet) continues to sell these trucks knowing there are problems. worse yet, this information is not being disclose to new buyers under the veil of "performing as designed." lastly, note that since there are no attempts to repair there may not be a trigger for the lemon law filing ("... at least three attempts..). remember, the ignition switch was a non- issue to you and gm until somebody died. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 chevrolet silverado 1500. while driving 80 mph, the vehicle vibrated intermittently. the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the approximate failure mileage was 7,000.

Purchased my 2014 chevy silverado at the end of june 2014 and by july 2014 while traveling to work my truck experience a severe vibration that shooked my entire interior and especially my center console. took my truck to two local dealerships and they say my truck drives and handles normally. after reading other complaints by other owners, i decided to write my own complaint. chevy corporation needs to investigate this matter before any tragic incident happe ns like the ignition switch recall that innocent people died and now they are paying mega bucks. also requesting other owners to file a complaint so other truck buyers will stay away from chevrolet automobiles entirely. my next purchase will probably a foreign because i am having to many problems and nothing is getting done. thanks alot chevy, from soon to be ex-chevrolet owner. *tr

At less than 2,000 miles, the frame and rear axle is rusting through the "protective" wax coating. where my dealer placed jack points when jacking up the vehicle during pre-sale inspection, there are distinct rust marks in the shape of the jack point. the axle has rust spots increasing in size every week. the frame has rust spots increasing in size and apparent severity every week. the wax coating is often found in flakes under my truck in my garage in the morning. i had a 2011 silverado that, at 22k, had zero frame rust and it was exposed numerous times to chicago and minneapolis winters, including the heavy road salt. this new truck has never left georgia since its purchase. i am concerned about the structural integrity of this vehicle over time if the frame will rust as much as it has in less than 2,000 miles. what will it look like at 50k mi.? *tr

my 2014 chevy silverado 1500, ltz, z71 started to have numerous issues since this past april. the truck has been in the unethical landers mcclarty chevrolet in huntsville, alabama seven times with only the smallest of the issues being fixed. 1st issue was the driver side seat moved when turning left or right. the dealer's service department informed me there was no fix and that the seat was within manufactures specs. the seat moved to the point that the ventilated seat cooler plug disconnected. the service dept eventually "fixed" the seat and reconnected the plug. lastly the issue i cannot get resolved through gm corporate, dealer service department or the regional gm manager. my truck "shakes" from speeds of 65 mph and greater. the service dept first told me i needed an alignment and have the tire rotated and balanced. the shake still continued, so i complained again to the service dept. this time i was told that two tires where "bad" do to road force and replaced them. the truck still shakes like a stripper so i emailed the ceo of gm on 11 july and assigned an executive liaison to work the issue. since then my truck has been in the service department twice. each time i was called a liar indirectly by the service department manager "[xxx]" and the district manager "[xxx]" after they test drove the truck and couldn't replicate the complaint. i had the service dept foreman "[xxx]" ride along with me as i drove the truck and pointed out the "very" noticeable shake at high way speeds. after numerous phone calls to the service dept, gm corporate, i found out that the service dept can utilize a vibration analyzer on the truck. this has not taken place or even considered. i continue to drive the truck with the shaking becoming worse with each mile. just like the ignition switch problem, gm down plays the issue and lets the problem compound. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr
